location, very near to Underground (gloucester). Hot shower, good bed.
this time very noisy, due to room at streetside....
Continental breakfast only
near all museums and tube station
The morning staff were friendlier and more vibrant than the night staff.
The morning staff were friendlier and more vibrant than the night staff. Sockets were awkwardly positioned and the room looked nothing like the pics advertised. There was a draft coming though the window and the shower took forever to heat up with a dodgy shower head that spurted out water.
Location, outside of building
Everything else. Fourth room I was put in was bearable. First two were filthy and the third had a couple in it! Walked straight on in! Very embarrassed. Hotel was boiling with a lot of water damage and ripped carpets. Rooms were drafty and light from gaps in the blinds (no curtains) and under the door. Do not stay here.
For £50 a night, at less than a mile from the Royal Albert Hall the hotel was ideal, room had a few minor issues and road noise is to be expected, but if you just need a bed for the night in Kensington then you can't go wrong
Had a short stay for a couple of nights. Excellent location and value for money. Clean rooms. Friendly staff
The shower wasn't working very well in my room
Its close to supermarket and only few minutes walk to Natural History Museum and nearby places like the Sloan st and other shopping centres. The best plus is the close proximity of the tube.
excellent location friendly staff
booked family room - told there was a problem when we arrived & given 2 rooms instead
Rooms cleaned daily, location, staff attentive and upgraded room when complained about initial room
basic supply of toiletries , lack of plug sockets, poor hairdryers, heat on 24/7, noisy as thin doors, not enough tea/coffee facilities - only enough for 1 per day
Comfortable rooms, nice and polite staff
Shower wasn't cleaned.
Bed was very comfortable, location fantastic - short walk to Gloucester Road underground station.
Room & especially bathroom much much smaller than pictures indicate - definitely not as well appointed in our Level 1 twin room. Very little engagement or help from reception staff, and if you are a light sleeper you may have trouble if other guests are loud - soundproofing minimal. Sufficient for our needs however.
Service was fair. Locations is very good.
Very small bathroom. Old interior. Not all areas were clean...dust behind tables and bed. Staff were a bit snobbish for some reason.
shower tiles need re grouting/bleaching could do with a freshen up as lets the hotel down slightly
No internet in room
Close to tube. Great value. Clean. Friendly.
The Internet was intermittent.
Dingy poorly lit room. Bathroom exhaust not working. Stinking room. Very basic facilities. Lousy toiletries.
Room was nice considering how expensive it normally is to stay in Kensington. I picked it for the location and price. Staff were also very nice.
The shower needed a bit of TLC. There was mold on the bottom of the shower door frame and also the screws on the shower door had fallen out and were just left on the side of the shower!
Dirty room, shower instead of bathtub (that we had payed for), rug in shreads, window shutter in pieces.. Plus we had to wait 30 minutes to get inte our room despite arriving eight at night.
Hated every second of it would not stay here even if you said it was free
Not a lot
No heating Telephone not working TV not working
We wanted to stay close to the natural history museum for the kids to visit. And for Kensington this was a great value little gem. Nothing flash but good breakfast friendly helpful service and clean. The kids loved it especially the big goldfish in reception. Wifi speed was good enough to stream movies and TV shows with no problems.
Mine and my wife's double bed was two singles pushed together but it wasn't really a bother. Needed a Wifi code for each day and device. A little contrived and unnecessary. Speed was good tho.
The doors are heavey
they gave me different room than iv booked online with very uncomfortable mattres and the room didnt have TV !! then when i complained they gave me TV which is not fixed safely to the desk for this i made a complaint to the front desk then only could manage to fix the TV but mattres didnt change
