This was a perfect hotel for me and friends to stay at unfortunately we were straight in and out so didn't get to see much of tje facilities. What we did see we liked and we all said we would return. Fantastic value for mpnwy.
Staff Location (if you like south ken) Value for money
Lovely staff, good location
Small rooms, window shield was broken, old bathroom, old carpets. Worth 2 stars not 3
The bed was comfy and I slept much better than I expected to as there was quite a lot of street noise.
Essentially the place is just rather shabby. The stair carpets for example are really tired. In my room the hot water came out of the cold tap and the fixtures were old and rather worn out.
TV did not work in three rooms that I was in Also, booked and paid for a twin but was given a double for 3 out of 5 days
The location very close to the places I wanted to go to in London. The good sleep. The room was quiet as we needed to be.
The fact that there was no TV remote on the room. One light was not working.
No windows felt clustrophobic no fridge not enough toilet paper and bathroom extras provided
Very tiny room and worn amenities
Wi-fi was good.
Horrible breakfast and no irons facilities. The rooms need to be cleaned the beds are too old
Helpful reception staff not so kitchen staff. Excellent location. Size of room very good for london, bearing in mind my room was a front room overlooking a very busy road.
Front room was naturally noisy, but a really good size.
We got this very cheap so you pay for what you get, overall not bad. Me and my friend just missed breakfast however the staff were very helpful in making sure we are still able to have something to eat and drink, very nice of her.
Please refrain from ordering a Taxi via reception, the taxi was unmarked, aggressive, didn't know where we wanted to go, and massively overcharged us for the 5 minute journey (£15.00)!!
The area was pretty quiet so once you got to sleep there was no waking up and the night was pleasant.
The hotel is full of liars from the management all the way down to the cleaners. We were promised a fridge and working TV, but got neither. Then when we complained we were fobbed off by the hotel management. Our towels were taken by the cleaners too. We will never use Kensington rooms again.
Good atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Asked for a double room and was given a twin. The bathroom was incredibly small.
Location Delicious croissant
Rooms without AC There are stairs on the way from elevator to each rooms No linen changing during our 11 days stay there Very small 14"TV for double bedroom Some holes on the wall because walls are made of some kind of gypsum and there's no door stopper Most of the staffs are not friendly
Fine for a night and location good.
Windows need replacing and very noisy, maintenance levels in the room poor - broken and missing - lights, toilet seat, plugs, windows. Poor for one room.
24 hour reception desk, very friendly staff, room size, value for money, location, lift, overall feel of stay was fantastic, atmosphere was very personal and we will definitely be back!
dark brown-reddish stains in the carpet, no place to put down soap in the bathroom, that's all. Other people here were complaining about the TV size, but it only seems so small because the rooms are so big.
The stuff was good and helpful
There are rats in the hotel rooms and passages and their carpets requires deep cleaning, lastly, fumigation is necessary
On arrival the receptionist quoted over £100 for the night, when we mentioned that booking.com was advertising £79 for the same room, he said booked on that then in an aggressive manner. We did and expected no more issues, afterwards he took 30 minutes to enter our details into the system, and gave us the wrong key, and finally the room was dirty and in the bathroom there was the last guests mess in the toilet unflushed. Not nice. Dont waste money here. It's more like a hostel to be honest.
Great location, comfortable sleep
Room was dated, dusty with a box tv,shower too small.
Reception staff were very helpful
Rooms not to standard, small, dirty. Beds uncomfortable. Windows not sealing proper/ broken. Start renovation with noise at 8am in rm next door. Shower very small and very high step into
The staff was extremely rude, you would never say "so your name is (first name) (poorly pronounced last name) or something like that right?" Nobody would like to be called their full name followed by a "or something like that" as in your name is totally irrelevant. After explaining the staff was extremely rude and lectured me about human beings deserve respect - respect is important but the rudeness of the staff I believe they have no right to lecture. Paying £120 for the room and not given the change even though as promised - yes only a very small change but I would not give tips. Hair drier broke and was offered a replacement but was not given it in the end. Horrible staff. Never pay to even stay there.
Location is close to Natural History Museum
Poor, poor quality room Poor breakfast, no hot food apart from toast Uncomfortable bed 'Egyptian' quilts? More like from Egyptian times! Maze of rooms, stuffy, smelly hallways Tiniest bathroom I've ever seen - not for larger people
Great location for my requirements.
Room was very hot and stuffy.
Breakfasts good and lift is better than many
I'd do some more comparison shopping before staying there again.
