Score from 1402 reviews Very good
location was quite good and this place was the cheapest in the area providing comparable standard, only 10-15 mins walk from natural history museum and other museums
the room was tiny, definitely not big enough to call it a triple room. Same with the bathroom. And the room was at the end of some maze leading from the reception
the location was very good.
The location was excellent and it is reasonable value for money.
We had explicitly booked triple rooms with 3 single beds. They unfortunately provided us with some containing doubles - not acceptable when you have a group of male students staying in them. They were very apologetic, but not very helpful. We had to solve the problem ourselves.
Value for money , good staff helpful and friendly.....breakfast was pretty good nothing cooked but it still was nice..
waiting for ever for the lift as the cleaning staff were using it for the laundry clean up, carpet in heavy use areas needs attention ie stairs, Alarm going off at 5 am wasnt good...
Excellent location (including good public transportation access), very friendly and service-minded staff, quite ok breakfast to be continental breakfast. Rooms clean. Good price given the location. We had a family room (412).
Rooms slightly run-down (looked much nicer on pictures) but room was clean (exception maybe the carpet which was in need of cleaning). Windows thin isolation but it was not cold in the room.
Very pleasant place to stay. Peacefull and quiet, big room. Excellent service, very kind and friendly staff.
We didn't dare to open windows because handle of the window was broken.
The décor of this hotel is very modern and welcoming as are the staff.
The hotel was in an ideal situation for local tube and walking distance to museums.
I think maybe my expectations were too high. The room had beds which were comfortable enough. The room was not very clean although adequate and the blinds and light fitting were in a poor state
Location very handy and close to the Gloucester station.
The room was old and had a freezing cold bathroom. You had the impression that the widows were open even when they were closed.
The staff were very helpful. And had to put up with endless complaints about the rooms.
When I booked I expected a nice room with usual mod cons. What I got was a single room with a double bed in it. Filth sheets shower hanging off the wall. No stand for the TV. No room to move in the shower or anywhere else in the room. Their was cum stains on the blankets very dirty room the blinds were broken. It was a disaster when I went to complain, the four guests in front of me were all doing the same. 2 members of staff had quit and two more were giving their notice in. When I asked 1 member of staff why her reply was "I'm tired of having to explain the conditions of tjhe rooms to unhappy guests.
Comfy beds.very frendly staff.
Needed safe deposit to be activated.we tel them.but they were very busy.so cdnt use it.
Walking distance from museums.
I arrived with my partner and two young children and were told we were being put in an apartment a few streets away. When we got there the room stank of cigarette smoke. Hotel staff then booked us into another hotel "close to Paddington" which, when I pressed them as to exactly where it was, turned out to be Kilburn! When I refused this they managed somehow to find me a room in their hotel. I would not book this hotel again.
We arrived earlier an told room not ready so went to museum and came back at 6pm and were told they had put us in apartment over 2 blocks away from hotel , not directions were given so we wandered around London trying to,find said apartment!!!! Had to call the hotel in the end for directions most unhelpful the apartment was tiny no utensils to,use no mini bar as stated no bathrobes as stated the pictures on the website are totally misleading!!! would not recommend to anyone none turned up to clean the room until 7 pm the next night utterly appalling!!!
From arrival to departure they ensured out stay was carefree.
Disappointed with Wi-fi or should I say lack of.
The bed was okay and the staff was very helpful
They do have an elevator but it doesnt stop in the same level of the rooms so you still have to get the stairs. There are tons of fire block doors, there were literally 6 between the elevator and my room, it was very hard to walk through this with my luggage as I had two big suitcases. Eventhough the bedroom was okay, the bathroom was ridiculous, the shower was broken and instead of fixing it, they tried to solve the problem by putting some tapes or whatever was that. Plus, the buildig is old and smells weird.
The family room we booked was not available, so my family was split into 2 rooms. Hated this, we couldn't all relax together and we were only booked for one night!! No remote control for tv in room 12. Despite asking at reception and being offered assistance none came. Breakfast was extremely cheap and nasty - ie butter tasted bitter, only milk was whole milk which i detest, yogurts were tasteless, and bread was poor quality. We had this 'complimentary' due to the room booking issue, felt quite insulting after as breakfast usually charged at £6.95 per person - and i couldn't even drink the tea had a cup of hot water and lemon!! The duty manager was conveniently not available to speak to until after we had checked out. But did receive 20% off our room via email response to our complaint as had made my complaints in writing before i left. 3 days later has not landed in my account. Expected higher standards and service as in an affluent area of London but I've had a more full filled experience in Premier Inns in the inner city. We live and learn!!
room size and quality. it needs to be refurbished
No hot water and tv didn't work
next to underground station, very good neighborhood, best value for money!
It's a simple hotel but there was nothing wrong with it.
The only thing good about the hotel is the location.
The staff is very rude! Everyday they had a discussion with us, about simple requests. They taken the whole money from credit card, even though our stay was a "pay when you're in the hotel" selection from booking.com. When we requested them to pay back the money so we can pay by our other credit cards, they did not accept and started to discuss. the rooms are not clean, there were some hair in the bathtub when we checked in. the facilities are really old, there is not even air conditioner in the room. the coffee mugs were filthy, and not clean. the staff can not manage anything, rude and unclear about the hotel. always kept disturbing us and coming to our rooms. even we did not smoke they accused us of smoking in the room. the cleaners opened our luggages and folded the clothes! we informed the receptionist but it is not helpful. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone in any conditions.
I liked that it was cheap, there were many useful stores nearby, and the underground station isn't far.
The towels were dirty, some milk cartons were already open, the large bed in the description of the room was actually two beds pushed together, and there wasn't enough soap for showering or rinsing. The ceiling looked awful too.
Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful in particular an older gentleman at the reception desk was curt and rude
Location was good for tube
Facilities were poor - need new hair dryers and mattresses
Location was goo
I was expecting a deluxe double, however I think I was put in a standard double. I did not get the promised free mineral water in the room, and no bath robes. I did question this with reception. The room was not spacious either, it was quite tight between table in the room and bed. Also only one comfy chair in the room, so difficult when there are two of you wanting to sit in a chair. There was mould stains on the bathroom ceiling, and coffee stains down the wall next to the bed. And the zipper which was meant to zip beds together was broken, so could feel the zip through the sheets, and the beds started separating so I kept waking up finding myself falling between the gap. Breakfast was poor, no cooked breakfast, toaster was broken, and it was a choice of one type of meat, cheese, tomato and cucumber....not a great cereal choice, and limited fruit.
good location for circle line tube
no internet access or Tv remote on checking in had to change rooms tatty tired decor and unclean, nothing like photos on booking site
