Good large bedroom and lovely surroundings

Bathroom was a little tired

Lovely hotel in fantastic grounds. Great location. Good value for money. i didn't eat in for evening meal, so can't comment, but breakfast was good. We had a newly refurbished room that was clean & dust free.

I booked an excecutive room, there were no bathrobes bottled water. Toiletries basic, only shampoo. TV remote didn't work. Dinner menu very basic, therefore not value for price. Breakfast plates and food (bacon) were cold. The cloakroom next to reception very basic. Therefore the hotel needs a big revamp. We have stayed there before, and it is pretty obvious the place is going downhill.

i loved the hotel itself and the surroundings, the facilities were great too and the food was really good.

Quiet location in a big city. Very pleasant landscaped grounds. Good breakfast. Good public rooms

Bedroom/bathroom was in need of a complete refurbishment.

The room was tidy. The staff were professional and the buffet breakfast was ok. Its price reflected the fact that it was not up to comparible hotel standards

Unfortunatly it can only be regarded as a 4 star hotel by its facilities, which appeared tired and dated. The staff were polite and professional but appeared unorganised due to staffing levels. The hotel and rooms were basic by comparible hotels standards and we got the feeling that the hotels priority was catering for wedding parties due to its grounds and age. Sorry Kenwood Hall we wont be going again.

Staff were as I would expect from a hotel of your reputation. Food and the cooperation of the staff providing it, were excellent. We were very comfortable in our room.

I booked on line and dont think I had the opportunity to request the type of room we required. We therefore ended up with a bath which ,because of our physical problems, we couldn`t use and also ,for two 70/80 year old guests, room 133 was an impossible trek. Our son on the other hand,a 48 year old, was asked about the location he wanted when he arrived and our son in law ,who booked after us, rec`d a room with services for the disabled.

The grounds were amazing with woodland walks and a beautiful lake. The restaurant had fast service but the serving for dinner was very small and inadequate. Decor in the lounge and dining room were nice but the rooms were old fashioned. I suspect that if you stayed in the old original house that they decor would be nice, but the new extension is drab and in need of an update.....

The bathroom was full of mould. The taps on the bath had parts missing. The bed needed a new mattress as was uncomfortable. The pillows were hard and flat like pancakes...... Renovation needed here to update the rooms and make them more comfortable.

Position and area of hotel, breakfast, and the two guys in the bar were very helpful, food was good, and childrens menu also good.

Squeaking main door, extractor fan not working in bathroom, broken wardrobe door, broken window blind on main window, and this one of your executive rooms.! Your checking in system is very slow, one receptionist doing her very best, needed assistance, one or two senior staff (Blokes in suits) walked by, looked, and walked on.

First Impresion very Palatial but later veiw the hotel is getting tired, requires, revamping, toilets shabby,

Dinner poor, choice poor, cooking very poor dinning room needs heating on sooner for dinning.

The room, the grounds, the sauna & pool, the breakfast.

Long walk to Executive room No spa or relaxation facility at the week- end Fogged up patio glazing spoiled the view Rusty screws in handle at shower area wc pan installed at a 15% angle Bathroom area above 2mtrs needed cleaning Ladies and Gents toilets near reception are very tatty, needs refurbishment Patio furniture and area needed cleaning and weeding Disturbed by constant banging doors in the early hours There did not appear to be a level pathway from the resturant area to the garden lake

staff were great from the minute we arrived,setting which this hotel is in is beautiful.Brilliant english breakfast.Rooms spotless.

Mould in the shower! slightly scruffy bathroom and some fixtures broken in the room, needed a bit of sprucing up.

Staff. Particularly the chef who remembered from Saturday to Sunday that my partner wanted an omlette. Breakfast. Generally a highlight. Traditional fare well cooked and presented. Although busy staff very polite and helpful.

Outside. Front steps a glass containing a banana skin remained for two days. In the car park there are broken bottles behind the parking area at waist height. Just needs a general rubbish clean up.

Friendly staff. Lovely room. Excellent restaurant. Awesome brekkie. Great location for Sheffield and the Peak District.

Happy with everything except the credit card surcharge.

Credit card surcharge but I had to let them swipe my credit card on arrival even though I paid with a debit card on check out.

Although the breakfast was excellent, we had a bar snack in the evening which was very poor, we intended staying for lunch but decided not to risk it

I liked the gardens, the lake and the tranquillity. Kenwood Hall is a beautiful and in a perfect location. It is walking distance of a lovely family park and local shops.

The pool was very small

That we could take our dog. Beautiful grounds.

Public loo v dirty. Room shabby and tired. Poor state of repair. Four star price, three star standard.

The food was excellent and all the front of house staff brilliant

Dirty bathroom and bedroom. Swimming pool has a black rim of mould around it. Fire alarm went off, can't be helped, but the route of escape once outside hotel was not lit. Ended up falling down a step as did not know it was there
