Lovely to stay in such a grand house, beautiful grounds and buildings. Food excellent and staff friendly.

Although not disabled, we are 'older' and less mobile and there were an awful lot of stairs and no lift. Also bath in the (lovely) bathroom unusable as no grips to get in or out. Maybe would have been different if I had thought to request otherwise - it was a ground floor room but down a lot of stairs from reception area and restaurants. Old TV and no subtitle availability (we did ask) - so in general accessibility issues dampened our enthusiasm but still had a good time.

We were greeted in a very friendly manner, and signed in without delay. Our bedroom was clean and attractive, with a very comfortable bed. We slept well, and enjoyed breakfast at a table overlooking the beautiful garden.

Spacy rooms, clean bathroom, nice tasty breakfest.

The swimming pool is rather small and as it is also open for lessons - there were successive lessons for some 10 babies with mamas the whole morning - the use of the swimming pool is seriously limited.

Big car park, with lots of spaces, lovely grounds, fishing lake, pool spa & gym. Lovely food in the restaurant which was good value. Staff very friendly.

Lift only went to 1st floor, so had to carry heavy bags up to 2nd floor. Only the 5 main TV channels in the rooms.

Free carpark. There are some hidden slots but can get busy at night. The place looks like an old university hall. But it is well maintained. It is in a quiet location. It is very close to the town centre and is easy to get out to the peak district. Breakfast is buffet and is good. The shower is good. The room is tidy and I am happy with its equipment and style.

the view is not great. Mine was facing the carpark, only a small number of rooms face the pond. The TV didn't work well but I was too tired to bother with. Dinner is okay. Portion is small given the price you paid.

Spacious accommodation at a good price, with friendly and helpful staff. Ideally located for visiting the Peak District. We would use again, providing we get the same value for money deal.

Lugging suitcases up flights of stairs, because no lifts to the top two levels of the older part of the building. Liked accommodation a lot, but in need of refurbishment.

amazing room upgrade to a balconcy a bit expensive but worth every penny. Lovely breakfast Staff very helpful and will help at all cost Will deffo. Be going back perfect birthday treat. Did not get chance to see the grounds but fab view from balcony

Breakfast in bed was expensive even though it was included in room rate. 14.50 just for them to plate it and bring it but it's luxury you don't get at home.
