Fantastic location hotel room window facing harbour waterfront and HMS Warrior and the Spinnaker. Walked down the road to the Historic waterfront Museum area, and around corner to Gunwharf complex for cinema and shops. Very helpful reception staff, and really enjoyed historic feel and nature of hotel.Dining room spacious and food great.

I loved the character of the place - large rooms, old fashioned style, friendly staff. Location couldn't be bettered and the view from the window was fantastic, if I had had more time I could have spent a happy hour or two watching the ferries coming in and out, people arriving or departing on trains, and the Spinnaker and HMS Warrior complete the picture. Although it was a good breakfast overall the scrambled eggs were tasteless

Location, onsite pub, and friendly staff all top notch. Hotel is dog friendly, which is great. However the hotel also allows smokers, so the rooms and corridors smell of cigarettes. I have to stress the hotel is very clean, however the smell has somewhat permeated everything. As a dog owner, you take the rough with the smooth, so didn't bother me.

Used the hotel as we were going out for a hen do in gunwharf quays, the room was very spacious and had a great view of the seafront. There were not enough plug sockets for everyone's straighteners/curlers/hair dryers and the towels were a bit on the small side.
