The staff were very helpful with all aspect of my family needs I have a 3month old baby and they were very helpful with all his needs and the room was massive best one in the pub can't fault the facilities
The only negative was the notice from the town it did keep me awake but I didn't shut the windows properly never heard anything after
Loved the location of the Royal Oak. The room was very clean and cosy. The ensuite was modern and clean. The English breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Well done to the staff.
Found it noisy outside due to late night drinkers.
Central location. Comfortable room. Good food, especially excellent breakfast bar. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lack of parking.
I am 6ft 6ins tall, my shower room was 6ft x 2ft 6ins approx. and charged £128 for 2 nights. on c/out manager told me he could have put me in a better room, he showed me to the one I was in, why not offer the better facilitiy on c/in. staying at Anderville G House in future.
Dog friendly everywhere, nice staff and great steaks!
The bedroom was on the small side, especially for having a dog with us. I don't know if they are all the same though
we got a very good room
Situated right in the Town centre and the breakfast was well laid out and delicious
The cleanliness of the room was ok the shower tray really needed a good clean around the edges was just black
Most of the staff Cosy bar Beautiful rooms
A few of the staff Room very small
would be helpful I if an arrangement could be made with local council for a 24 hour parking permit.
The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The decorations were tasteful and Christmassy and the food excellent. We stayed in one of the 'smaller' rooms and found it quite sufficient for our needs and warm and cosy. We will definitely be back!
We had trouble getting the shower hot - our fault as we did not understand the system. Also, a burger for dinner was delivered on a wooden tray which was difficult to eat off and we query how hygenic it might have been!
Everything Food, room, staff all perfect
didn't expect room to be as small as it was,bed frame and springs loose and noisey. Shower door broken. Bed not level at one side.
The atmosphere was great , lovely cozy surroundings just the thing for a wintery stay.
The location was brilliant, convenient for everything. The decor throughout was very good.bedrooms small but adequate and beds very comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast choice very good and hot meal freshly cooked. Would stay again.
Choice for evening meals not great and everything rather on the large portion.not all pensioners want a huge meal
Lovely atmospheric pub/hotel. Very cosy room but knew in advance it was small so not disappointed. Room decor was nice and ideal getaway for a wintry December weekend.
Friendly nice room enjoyed our stay
1 Location 2 Price 3 Bed
1 Heating (too hot) 2 Breakfast only lukewarm
We really felt at home because of the friendly staff
The breakfast menu said sausages but I only ever got one
liked little extra's, hot water bottle, tea cosy, and ultra soft bath sheets, really enjoyed our stay, thanks
Comfortable room, central location. Friendly helpful staff, excellent food.
Noisy plumbing in bathroom.
Set in the heart of Keswick, lovely location. Very clean and appealing and really friendly staff.
Our double room was too small and far too hot.
What a find! Lovely hotel just off Keswick centre.Clean, cheery and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. There was a problem with our booking but all dealt with swiftly and pleasantly by the delightful manageress. Menu superb and stupidly cheap!!! Try the sharing fish platter at about £13. Mains about 13 and a very decent Oz Chardonnay for about 14. There ARE some small rooms but an upgrade to a bigger one was worth the extra £20 if you have a tall husband!! All the staff were lovely but try to get Chris as your waiter who makes you feel that you are the only diners there. Excellent!! Thanks a lot. Room Tip: Worth paying extra for a bigger room.
Tiny point hardly worth a mention but a bit mean with the bathroom toiletries.
Staff were friendly and helpful, great food and very comfortable bed and pillows. Our dog made welcome too.
room rather small for the price you pay
