Very friendly welcome, position of the hotel with regard to the coast and local beauty spots is very good. The food is excellent and the prices are very resonable. Room was very clean and tidy. The only criticism was that the reception area and bar area were a little bit dated and in need of renovation. Bar did not have a TV, however, these are minor issues and would not stop me staying there again.

Margaret the owner was incredibly friendly when she checked us in and offered to look up any tourist destinations on her internet if we couldn't find anything from the leaflets downstairs. We ate at the on site restuarant and the food was amazing, really good value for money and seasonal. The bar is a good place to have a relaxing drink before or after dinner. The cooked breakfast included in the price was so filling I couldn't eat it all. A highlight of the meal was the freshly squeezed orange juice and a big chunk of black pudding.

We were given two rooms that made up our family suite and a bathroom. Both rooms were lovely and spacious and the bathroom had all we needed and was clean and fresh. The double bed in one room was enormous. We were travelling as two adults and a 7 year old and we could have allslept in that bed!! We had a lovely overnight stay and a great breakfast the next day. The location was excellent and I would feel comfortable recommending it. The owners were actually on holiday but the staff they had covering did them proud.

It was convenient for us, we where up there on business, so it was just a stayover for one night. Wouldnt pay those prices other than for one or two nights, stayed in better for less. Not much of a welcome when we first went in, just given a key and shown to room.

Bedroom & shower ensuite was spotless, fresh & comfortable. The best mattress I have had in a hotel for a long time - brilliant.Loved the sea view. The breakfast was superb as was all the food. The bar and dining room looked newly decorated and very tastefully done. Staff helpful and friendly.

I could find no fault with this hotel. We were welcomed warmly by Margaret one of the co-owners and shown to an immaculately clean and comfortable room. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast the next morning wall excellently cooked by Russell the other co-owner and there was plenty of it. A short walk across the car park led to a spectacular view of the beach and sea. This is one hotel I will definitely return to.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They did adapt the menu to suit our varying needs. The hotel was very clean and the bedrooms had recently been painted. It was quite difficult to get attention on check in as the bell was broken. The windows, particularly in room 7, were badly fitting making the rooms quite cold. There was no option to turn the radiaters on. It would have been nice to have a lounge to sit in during the day as we were a family group occupying 3 different rooms and had little chance to sit and chat outside 'bar hours.'

The rooms were spacious enough for the 4 of us (2 kids, and we loved that they had their own room) and the bathroom was very nice and clean, and didn't have one of those annoying extractors. Only 1 remote but it worked on both TVs ok. Nice big bed, must've been 6ft wide :-) Hard pillows though! We were happy overall and would consider staying again for a bit longer next time. The bass from the bar was a little intrusive but it stopped quite early on a Saturday night which was a relief. There was a bright light outside the bedroom window and the curtains were quite thin. The light went out at some point but there was a streetlight as well! Some small complimentary shampoo/shower gel would have been welcome as we didn't think to bring any for our night's stay.
