A friendly, comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting. Good value compared with other 3-star hotels in the area. Very convenient for all the amenities of Keswick and for access to major roads. Very attractive building and grounds. The hotel is getting a bit run-down, although in some respects that adds to the atmosphere. Disabled access could be improved, though it might not be easy given the design and age of the building.

We stayed for two nights. The surrounding were great, lovely gardens and the views wonderful. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was good especially the evening meal. Some of the hotel looks a bit tired but that is to be expected because of the age of the building and it lends to the atmosphere Would recommend it and will definitely stay again..

Comfortable with excellent food. Decor very dated. Pleased that we chose a junior suite as with the old-fashioned decor it could have felt claustrophobic in a basic room. Some noise from the heating system. This is a very old hotel!

The staff were very friendly and professional, the food was very good and tasty,we stayed at the Gleneagles Hotel last year-but your food was far better. We particularly appreciated the Lounge area--as we just like to sit and read sometimes. It was an ideal location for visiting Keswick and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, we found that the Hotel was looking a little tired, the paintwork especially could do with freshening up for instance, and the Room furniture was a little dated. However ,despite this,we would still stay there again,we really enjoyed the break.

We have stayed at the Keswick Lodge twice and each time have really enjoyed the warm welcome and relaxing surroundings. Although the decor is a little shabby in places this does not distract from the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was superb and the staff were very friendly and attentive,

In a quiet location, comfortable and the food is quite good. They are beginning to use local suppliers for food items which is a good trend. Only minor items I find their practice of requesting payment on arrival irritating, particularly as we have stayed there around 15 times, but I can put up with that. My response is generally to not buy anything else which would normally be put on the bill. The dessert menu doesn't appear to change much having been extremely similar, if not the same, for our last 3 visits ( over 5 months).

Our stay was so so good. The staff were wonderful and the food was excellent and well presented. The vicinity was very good and all in all we would definately go back there again should the price be as good as our last stay.

The location for the town centre was ideal & the views from room were impressive. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Although I paid for a superior King room I wasn't that impressed with the decor.

Friendly helpful staff, very good breakfast although no glutan-free option. Car park gets full but you can park on road. Our room, 318 was a little tired, window dirty - pity as view was great and bed a bit lumpy!!

This is a good hotel in a terrific location for central Keswick. Very traditional British-type hotel with some charm and a good atmosphere. Aside from the location, the best aspect of our stay was the dining. We opted for a dinner, bed and breakfast special which was fantastic value given the excellent quality of the food. Dinner was three courses from a decent range of choices. Breakfast was also very, very good. For you lovers of an English breakfast this will be a treat; I can't swear but I think there was fried bread available too! The beds in the twin room we shared were poor quality. We didn't sleep well because of this. The hotel has wi-fi but it is very weak and there was a crush among guests furing our stay when we discovered the best spot by the window in reception for the strongest signal.

This is our second stay at the hotel and the main attraction is its location and the food. The evening meal is absolutely delicious and never disappoints, especially after a long day of walking. Lounge bar is quiet of an evening.

The food was very good Allow to check in early before 3 pm Location good for the town and walking We were on the third floor and unfortunately had a family of slugs visit us each night, leaving their slime trail over the carpet. First night the room was cleaned and after the second night they moved us to another room. We were compensated with a bottle of wine and a complimentary meal, but the incident spoilt our weekend

Staff were very helpful and pleasant - excellent location - old fashioned but comfortable hotel. Very nice bar/lounge for evening and good restaurant / breakfast. Because of old windows - could be a bit drafty but good heating also - perhaps not so efficient for the hotel, though. Parking at times a problem as there was no check to see if the cars belonged to hotel guests. As traveling with grown up son - had to pay for double room - no reduction - a pity.
