Clean, cottage style
Nice touch was fresh milk in a thermos and kilner bottles of water available for the warm nights. Room 2 was really nice very comfy king size double and ensuite bathroom. The 400 year old building is full of quirky features and the floor is uneven, you don't need to drink to feel drunk. Breakfast was very good with fruit and cereal available.
A little too hot when we arrived as the heating was on.(Mid Sept). We switched off the radiators and opened the windows and it cooled quickly.
Location Friendly owner
Friendiness of the staff, lovely location and good accommodation
Location, large bed, big room
Beautiful old building with modern facilities. Lovely big room very clean and scrumptious breakfast. Very nice staff. Highly recommended!!
Wi-Fi a bit patchy, but not a big problem.
Great atmosphere and surroundings to this place; from the outside its an old farmhouse style building, inside nicely refurbished to a quality finish. Very comfortable room with everything you could need
Nothing to dislike
v spacious and comfortable. convenient location. food very good. owner v helpful, staff friendly v welcoming to our dog excellent value, we would have had to pay similar amount in a travel lodge for very inferior service and comfort would definitely book again and would recommend to others
slight traffic noise from main road but this didn't disturb us once asleep
Very friendly welcome.our room was spacious and spotlessly clean.the breakfast was delicious
The friendly presentation of a simple family run B&B in a beautiful old building
This is an excellent place, either for a stopover oR a longer stay. The owner, Steve, is pleasant and easy going, breakfast was excellent and our dog was truly welcome; Steve fosters dogs from the Labrador trust and there were a couple wandering around during our stay. The rooms were nicely done, the beds comfy. We will look to stay here again and would heartily recommend it - especially if you are travelling with a four legged friend.
Poor TV signal, but is was a minor thing
Nice spacious room, polite staff, good breakfast
Noisy road just next to the hotel, nowhere to go out in the evening (quite far from a town), no shop nearby to buy some emergency items. Wifi was unusable.
Character of the Farmhouse and breakfast options. Very welcoming owner
The old farmhouse. Location. Staff. Food great. Value for money.
We arrived late and were warmly welcomed. Room was spacious and comfortable. Property is located an a beautiful site. Breakfast was excellent Proprietor was trusting.
No adverse comments to make.
Loved the character of the building, a real old farmhouse with history. The owner has renovated it with sympathy and retains many of the original features. The ensuite rooms are large with original feature; fireplaces and very thick walls & beams.
TV reception is not the greatest, and not the easiest place to find from the busy road, we drove past it several times before seeing the signpost.
it was easy to find and full of character. the en-suite shower was brilliant and the full English breakfast was very nice with plenty of cereal and toast etc. has double glazing on the windows to stop noise and cold weather.
when the window is open you could hear the traffic on the well used road the house is adjacent to. I am not used to hearing road noise where I live but there was not a lot and if you are used to this don't let it put you off.
Friendly people and very helpfull.
A very interesting character building, hosts, rooms & breakfast all excellent and beautiful gardens.
TV signal reception was a bit iffy in this area. A bit difficult to locate from the busy road.
charming heritage setting and building
Friendly and welcoming top location great standards of service!
Very comfortable stay, delicious breakfast all we wanted and would recommend Alan & Sally Atkins.
