On the banks of the River Stour, just 8 miles outside Canterbury, The Grove Ferry Inn offers high-quality accommodation in Kent.
Score from 104 reviews Very good
A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.
Score from 275 reviews Fabulous
Dating back to 1438, the historic Cathedral Gate is in the heart of Canterbury.
Score from 603 reviews Very good
A short walk from Canterbury city centre and its world-famous Cathedral, this privately-owned hotel is set within a Victorian townhouse, amid 2 acres of well-maintained grounds.
Score from 323 reviews Very good
The campus is very beautiful and there are lovely views of Canterbury. It is a quiet place, but there are frequent buses from the campus to the center of Canterbury and to Whitstable.
This is not applicable, since I enjoyed my stay very much.
the location is perfect, the staff were up and doing keeping the rooms clean.this is comendable
one felt too lonely in the rooms as facilities like television are not available.
I am a student in UCL and comparing to these accommodations, our university seems to be having a lot of catch-up to do! Large fully furnished rooms, clean and quite. The design which there is a switch beside the bed is so convenient.
Clean compfy good breakfast close to canterbury + nice and helpful staff
Room size and facilites Helpful receptionist Location Bunnies in the grounds
Good value for money and fabulous breakfast.
The room smelt damp and musty when we arrived so please keep the windows open to help ventilate.
Place was really clean, for the value of money inclusive breakfast which I enjoyed.
the shower, does not drain as fast when showering causing flood.
Friendly helpful staff, service, and food, both in the evening and in the morning. The bar makes excellent pizzas with a unique queuing system. The restaurant has a very good varied menu but is run on a cafeteria style, which to be fair is to be expected as it is a college facility. I also liked the security aspect of the whole campus.
Staff at the breakfast. Convenience of parking.
Check out at 10am is fair too early, especially as check in isn't until 2pm
The location is superb. After finding a parking space, the excellent bus service into the centre makes sightseeing easy. The breakfasr was first class.
spacious, clean, tea, coffee and hot chocolate and water bottles.
bit confused initially on how to lock our bedroom door.....key fobs new to us!!!
Cleanliness, breakfast, location
Great location close to Canterbury
Building work commencing at 6am and finishing after midnight with noise and bright lights on throughout. Did not help with having a good nights sleep.
Really impressed! Felt like a hotel room and had a lovely big kitchen to go in as well. Would definitely stay again
Good comfortable rooms and 10mjns walk to bus stop very convenient
Need some good signs to show directions to the place and to the blocks
cotton tailed bunnies, clean & quiet room. Good wifi and big kitchen
breakfast time is too early to close no lift in the building , not good for the travellers with big luggages, no view
Excellent room, very clean Shop and cafe on site Pleasant walk into Canterbury Ample parking
Bed was a little uncomfortable
Simple accommodation, but clean, modern and functional. Better than expected.
Breakfast basic. Too many doors to room and some difficult to open. Would have liked to know that students were coming back that weekend - it was noisy all night long!
Free easy parking
Ideally situated for visiting Canterbury. Bus stop close. Breakfast good. Staff friendly and helpful.
Quiet, clean and secure.
Reception hard to find on the campus.
Quality of room. (Clean ,spacious, secure) Good breakfast. Lovely site to stay, I felt safe.
Lack of food available on site later on. The only food we could get was Pizza( It was very nice.) We found that after being out all day we didn't want to go out to eat.
Everything you'd expect from modern university halls. In a beautiful setting with easy walking access to the city.
Not really a university problem but lighting of pathways from city non existent in places - too dark and remote at night for a single person to walk.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were MUCH more comfortable and accommodating than I expected and the cost of it all was more than reasonable.
A later check out time would've been nice, but that's about it.
Plain but comfortable room, a little cramped but with access to a shared kitchen and seating area Good value for money considering very late booking
Quite far from the town centre, where parking is not exactly easy (but parking on the campus was no problem)
