very good value for money
Friendliness of the staff, hear dining room
No bedside lamps so fumbling around in the dark; no en suite; cold room
This hotel was one i look forward to using again, staff were friendly, and were able to advise us on bus routes to and from nearby town. Good food, and very clean. Overall just a lovely hotel with a bit of history to it!.
Only downside was our room had no bath, which next time i would request.
Very friendly staff. Good food. Clean and tidy.
Breakfast too late for business travellers 7:30. It should be 7:00 at least. No shelving in bathroom for toiletries which was a struggle.
Couldn't find it.
The food was excellent, well cooked and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was very good for access to Irvine and surrounding area. Easy parking for the car as I am disabled. We can't say enough about how good the staff were. They did put a comfy chair in our room on the last day. The staff helped me carry our luggage into the room and offered to load the car when leaving.
Disabled access was poor only a ramp up the main hotel. We had to walk across the road to get to this area as we were in a different house, all doorways had a step. The room was too full of furniture, it was a double room but had an extra bed in. No comfortable seat to sit other than the bed, the mattress was disgustingly dirty. And no mattress cover. We didn't realize this until the last day or we wouldn't have slept on it. The hand towel in the bathroom had a hole in it on the first day. And the towels although very clean, we're very thin. There is no access to the executive suite for disabled people as it is up a flight of stairs. The noise at night of people banging doors as they went in and out, we assume they were going out to smoke, the doors just banged very loud and made it difficult to sleep. I don't think the staff are responsible for the things I have complained about here.
Everything. Couldn't fault room, comfort or attentiveness of staff.
nice location, helpful staff and good food
a bit noisy from bar area late on.
My wife was patient in nearby hospital and staff did offer to run me to the hospital for a visit. I am disabled and staff carried bag to my vehicle.
food was excellent.nice peaceful stay staff were outstanding.
The staff were very helpfull nothing was a problem to them, will stay again next visit
Staff were pleasant and parking is easy and convenient.
Very expensive for the tiny bedroom and bathroom. WIFI didn't work and for a business traveller it is useless as there is no desk.
Cosy, warm hospitable.
Staff seemed stretched for evening meal time, but meal good and reasonable. Not being able to stay for another two nights as already booked up. Car parking may be a bit of a squeeze sometimes.
We arrived two minutes before 9pm, after a long journey on the motorbike so we were cold and wet. The restaurant shuts at 9pm but it was no trouble at all for the staff to take our food order so we could eat that night. It was really appreciated by us. Very friendly staff.
The hotel was clean and the shower was excellent and the staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast was of poor quality
Good location for a quick journey into Ayr each day of our stay (we had been unable to find a suitable hotel in Ayr itself). Dinner in hotel restaurant was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
A group of 17 were in the same building on our last night and there was a fair bit of noise and children running about till about 2.00am. It would have been better if they could have had that building to themselves! Other than that - nothing!
Cleanliness of the rooms Friendly staff
Great hospitality and loved the food. Staff could not have done more.
Good Meals & Bar. Bed rooms are adequate.
Excellent location for getting into Glasgow and for the many local golf courses. Nice restaurant, bar, terrace. Good food. Fantastic staff who made sure that we were well looked after. Great shower.
Bedrooms small and basic, although everything we needed was provided. Would have preferred better quality mattress and pillows.
Not sure if it was the commonwealth games affect but paid £150 for room and meal, following night £92 in a premier inn in Newcastle
The male receptionist provided excellent service and was very helpful! The rooms were very nice and clean! Had a very homely feel!
WiFi was fast. Breakfast was good.
The bath was small
Good food in restaurant, friendly, hospitable staff (although some clearly overworked) and location convenient to my requirements as stop-over for End to End cycle ride.
Everything about the place right from the start the staff the room which was the executive suit and the meal it was all fantastic we will definitely be back
Don't really have anything bad to say about this place our stay was great
