Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Gemütliches, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer. Wunderschöner Frühstücksraum sowie leckeres, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Parkplatz direkt hinter dem Hotel. Bushaltestelle vor der Haustür, nur wenige Minuten bis zur Royal Mile. Nein, das Hotel ist wirklich wunderbar und sehr zu empfehlen! Wir haben uns dort gut aufgehoben gefühlt. |

Das Haus hat historischen Flair und die Mitarbeiter sind nett. Es bietet einen eigenen Parkplatz, was in Edinburgh durchaus von Vorteil ist. Die Zimmer sind nicht ganz so überwältigend wie auf den Fotos. Der Standard ist nicht vergleichbar mit einem preisgleichen Kettenhotel. Allerdings hat das Haus durchaus Charme. Die Entfernung zu Fuß zur City ist relativ weit (ca. 30 Minuten). |

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Lovely old house with character. Meal in Matthews was fabulous. This is our third stay and we will be back again next year. |

A comfortable, quirky Hotel with a lot of character. We had a warm welcome and service was excellent. Breakfast was great and the Hotel is in a nice quiet position in easy reach of the centre by lots of buses stopping just outside the hotel. |

Very helpful and welcoming staff/ good choice of items for breakfast/ good location with frequent and fast public transport links to city centre/ independent restaurant within hotel served excellent food! Allocated a room without the spa bath we expected (bath was out of commission) / although given a larger room, shower room was very small - with cracked and broken tiles on floor and wall! / The bed was obviously not new, so was not very comfortable! |

Very friendly and polite staff. Warm welcome including introduction to the hotel area, transports to the city centre, city festivals and events, etc. Clean and cosy room with free wireless internet connection (although very poor signal strength in my room). Very nice restaurant for dinner. Short commuting distance to the city centre (just 5 min by bus, with frequent bus services). In the breakfast buffet sometimes the food and cutlerly was not restored. |

Beautiful building, very friendly staff The location is a ways from the city center. It is extremely conveniently accessible by bus; however, at night once we were back at the hotel, we didn't feel like going back out. Next time I would stay closer to the city. |
