Good location, Free Parking, Good breakfast We were bitten to bits after staying in room 1 lower ground, avoid at all costs, must be ridden with fleas or bed bugs. The Jacuzzi baths they advertise dont work Bathroom floor tiles broken

the staff were very helpful and attentive.the welcome sherry was a nice touch and much appreciated. I can recommend a visit to The New Moon for an evening meal, a good 10 minutes walk away but well worth the effort. the hotel is located on a main road, and can be quite noisy if you are in one of the front rooms as we were, however, once asleep, we had no problem. don't park your car under the tree in the car park, some very incontinent birds roost there overnight

The hotel was well located on main bus route,with buses passing every 4 to 5 minutes. Breakfasts were good,staff were helpful especially the young fellow at breakfast who was obliging and friendly. The bathroom was modern however lot of mould around grouting and bathtub with a number of cracked tiles. The carpets were dirty and stained. While these are minor points they do let the hotel down and Management really do need to have a regular maintenance program in place to ensure that these small issues do not mount up to collectively larger issues and put people off recommending their establishment.

Everything was relaxed and comfortable with some really nice touches, IE free sherry in the room. Met our needs and the staff couldn't do enough to help out. Brilliant!

Rooms clean, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast, sherry and shortbread a nice touch, off street parking good, convenient location for city centre short bus trip, Only disappointing thing was no water coming out of hot water tap in our room and our friends room in the morning, was offered other room if needed.

Great staff very helpful and friendly. Secure car parking. Adequate accommodation for a short break. Good location for access to the city centre. Ideal for folk who do not like the noise of the city centre. Overall the hotel was comfortable. In general the hotel could do with some maintenance to bring it up to the standard as advertised. My bathroom had no heating, was freezing, and the bath tap was loose, actually dangerous. Corner of room was damp and the carpet had mould growing on it. The room above had exceptionally creaky floor boards which made the stay in my room unpleasant.

A great small friendly Hotel. Staff.very helpful.Ideal situation . Car parking facilitiesexcellent..Easy access by taxi or bus to city centre. Had a room on ground floor very convenient for car park which is ideal for the disabled. Enjoyed the sherry and shortbread on our arrival. Lovely room very comfortable.

Excellent service over our 2 day visit....helpful, friendly....best we have enjoyed recently in any hotel. Hotel itself is very comfortable, quiet rooms in the lodge with excellent facilities such as honesty bar, free computer access, well furnished bedrooms with complementary sherry and shortbread. Good on-site parking and outdoor seating areas. The hotel is on main bus routes into Edinburgh which makes shopping, visiting attractions very easy. We will stay here again and are recommending it to our friends.

The breakfast was well prepared with a wide variety of options. There was also available a restaurant for evening meals. It's located on a direct bus line to the central city area for sight seeing and shopping. This is a lovely place to stay.
