Loved everything about the Kildonan Lodge, fantastic location just outside the city centre but on the main bus route. The room was gorgeous very romantic, a four poster bed and spa bath, i ordered sparkling wine on arrival and it was there waiting, nice little touches too, good to see an iron and board. Breakfast was equally as nice . definitely will be returning

The friendliness of the staff on arrival. Information on hand regarding how to get into the city along with suggestions. Ease that he made you feel at home. Hotel is in right place, of being able to take plenty of buses into the city and back again, with bus stop within 20 feet of hotel without having to use the bus.

The people were so friendly, breakfast was delicious with basically anything you could want, and the room was lovely! The location, while a bit away from the city centre, was nice and quiet and a straight walk to the Royal Mile- it gave us a chance to find new places along the way as well. Will definitely stay here again!

The location is excellent, situated on numerous bus routes and the town centre is within 25 minutes walking. Car parking was away from the road and easily accessible. Reception was friendly and very informative, a genuine welcome. The front of house staff all excelled. The room was a good size, light and well laid out. The standard of cleaning could not be faulted. Facilities overall were comfortable. The dinner menu was limited in choices but the standard and presentation was first class.

My room was charming and comfortable. The staff were warm and helpful. My daughter and her husband were returning on a 10th wedding anniversary trip and the owner provided welcoming champaign. The breakfast was well prepared with a wide variety of options. There was also available a restaurant for evening meals. It's located on a direct bus line to the central city area for sight seeing and shopping. This is a lovely place to stay.

I stayed in room12 with my daughter. The welcome sherry and shortbread was excellent. The room was lovely, with comfortable beds and it was very clean. It was easy to reach from the city bipass and had excellent transport links right outside the hotel every 2-3 mins with a bus route straight into the city taking 5 minutes. I left my car on the car park and used the bus (daily ticket £3.20 - use as many times as you like). The breakfast was the best cooked breakfast I had ever had. We had fresh towels daily and the room was cleaned daily. All the communal areas were very clean. The hotel is a victorian house with many original period features. The shower was good , and there was toiletries in the room. The television was good. We used the WIFI. There was a ipod docking station. The staff were helpful. Other guests were British and American city weekenders and business trippers, so the nights were very restful. We heard no noise from other guests. There is an honesty bar but we did not use it as we were out all day People who have difficulty with steps would struggle with this hotel. My husband needs disabled facilities, therefore, I can only use this hotel when I travel without my husband.
