“ The hotel staff were friendly and very welcoming. The bar had a lovely traditional feel with a nice coal fire. Hotel exceeds expectations for value. ”

Very friendly &obliging staff. The breakfasts were very good Good location The room was rather small to be classed as a double room. The lighting was extremely poor.(Energy saving bulbs with dark shades) The shower was too small, the door was loose & there was nowhere to place toileteries etc.

The Killin Hotel is absolutely ideal for dog owners as they are very pet friendly. We stayed in the annexe which is even more suitable because when you open your front door there is a park right opposite the hotel for walking your dog, very convenient. Food, accommodation and friendlieness are of a very high standard. The only complaint was the bathroom as there was no heat in there and therefore uncomfortable when it's a very cool April morning. Also the shower either had the drain in the wrong place or the bottom was angled the wrong way because, after every shower there was a puddle diagonally opposite the drain where water leaked out from inside the shower to the floor outside. It really seemed like there was a downward slope away from the drain, instead of towards the drain. Had the slope been towards the drain, there would have been no puddle. When I contacted the hotel regarding the above they did respond saying "We do have a program of refurbishment ongoing in the hotel at present to refurbish some of the bathrooms"

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast and dinner was quite good. Location is well suited for exploring the village, Falls of Dochart, Ben Lawers. Decor in room was cheap, outdated and quite worn. Room was really quite dusty. En-suite decor was needing some tlc. Shower was not very hot. Guests in room next door had a dog that would not stop barking in the evening and morning.

The main hotel seemed nice. The breakfast was lovely. I didnt like our room. I appreciate the hotel was full and we may have got one of the last rooms and therefore the worst. The annexe room had a hard, bare and cold feeling; austere, no pictures on wall or curtains. When I sat in the horrible disabled en suite people walking past the window could see mesitting on the toilet. The ensuite was like a supermarket disabled toilet. The washhand basin was tiny and low down so brushing teeth or washing face was difficult. It was impossible to fill the kettle because of the tiny hand wash basin. The toilet still had its stickers on it, half ripped off. The bed was far too soft like a marshmallow with the springs hanging out the side, very uncomfortable. Bed linen was worn and ripped and the rug was filthly. It was such a shame as with a little more effort and a decent sink in the bathroom , wall lining on the bathroom, a shower curtain and a few pictures on the wall, some curtains, the room would have been transformed.

Warm welcome, clean rooms, good food and new conservatory. The decor is looking a little tired. The chips in the paint work, wee peals in the wallpaper and missing trim in the bathroom seemed like an easy fix that would have made a big difference to the room and entrance.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. The Annexe rooms are well equipped and clean. The food was very disappointing the Salmon was cold and raw in the middle and this was after waiting a very long time for the meal. We emailed before booking to ensure the hotel served gluten free food as my has coeliac, we were in formed this was not a problem. After arriving for breakfast we were told they had gluten free bread and that was it, fortunately we had brought our own breakfast cereal just in case. All in all a disappointing stay.
