This was a birthday treat for my mother -what a beautiful place-scenic room, great staff, lovely food-what more do you need for a mini break!
From a 4star hotel i would expect better, staff unhelpful, food was poor, and the cleanliness of hotel was poor grime andand dirdirt in breakfast room
It was so cold. Room heating controlled centrally and impossible to get warm. We had to ask for a heater in the end. Taking a shower in such a cold bathroom a terrible experience. I have never been anywhere so cold in my life. Incredibly uncomfortable stay as a result. Please put the heating on
Loved the room and the grounds the hotel is set in as its beautiful.
We went for breakfast got shown to our seats and told staff would come over and take our tea and coffee order. We went and had our breakfast had it ate and still no member of staff came to take our order so we had no tea or coffee with our breakfast.
Only thing I'd add comment on is the food, which was delicious! Though it was only a one night stay, we were refreshed by it, which is what we had hoped for. I requested a room with a lake view & was delighted that we were given one. It was lovely.
Good friendly staff
Everything was to our satisfaction
The lack of the main dinning room for dinner
Beautiful location and grounds. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Had a good sleep.
Had requested a twin room but given a double. This was efficiently rectified by helpful staff. Thought the Grill was overpriced for what it was although the food was tasty. Live entertainment was rather loud .
Friendly staff, comfortable well equipped rooms
Breakfast starts way too late for me.
Bathroom facilities, bed comfort, breakfast and staff at breakfast were excellent.
Quality and price of bar food. Being Canadians we are well accustomed to burgers etc.but served with hot aoili and pesto on full side of plate made it totally unpalatable. This would be OK. maybe on a gourmet meal, but we had no choice but to fill up on crisps.
Nice hotel in a picturesque location. Friendly, efficient staff, nothing too much trouble! Wonderful spa. Very good breakfast. We'll definitely be back - we can avoid the things we didn't like!
No air conditioning in rooms, having to push past people smoking at the entrance, lunchtime carvery was reminiscent of a school canteen, limited and food got cold while we queued to pay. Desserts hugely over priced for the size of the small portion. Paying for a swimming cap to use the pool. The dreadful piano music in the Boat house restaurant at night!
When I booked this hotel for the weekend of my wife's 60th birthday the implication was I was booking a double room which was advertised at £220 for two nights on 29th and 30th August. The night before our departure to Enniskillen I checked to see my reservation was in order and I realised by my original booking the room was for one guest only??? I subsequently added my wife's name to the booking and was consequently charged a further £100. Having been to dozens of hotels all around the world, most of which were booked online, I have never come across such an arrangement as this. We enjoyed our stay in the Killyhevlin. However, our stay was not worth the extra £100 and it somewhat marred what should have been a memorable occasion for my wife and I. Sincerely, Adrian Cathcart
Brilliant location and the views from the hotel are magnificent. Really good breakfast.
We had a bar meal which was very disappointing. My wife had the cod and chips and I had the special - chicken in a sauce. Very average indeed and poor value. I am sure if we had gone to any of the local restaurants or bars we would have had much better.
Food was good; room was clean and fairly roomy
Hotel was very crowded and very noisy; lots of children running about Service in restaurant was very slow; Had to park car far away from access to hotel--a real problem for elderly person who uses a cane.
everything was lovely although it is on the expensive side. Staff great, food delicious , rooms and view lovely, grounds and location brilliant
Small touches missing e.g. no bottled water or Minnie bar in room. We were put into a disabled room which we would have preferred not to be but it was ok.
The friendliness of the staff; the views, the food
As we had driven from England I had asked for car parking. An area was roped off for us. We received a very warm welcome. I had requested a lake view if possible. Our room was very clean and had a lovely view of the lake. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay again.
Nothing. The whole experience was great.
Had enjoyed ourselves the first day.and then on Thurs morn my husband jim took unwell. The manager of the dining room and table staff were very helpful in gettingan ambulance service to the hotel very quickly. I would just like to thank you all very much for the kindness and help you guys have given us. Beatrice&jim reid .
Everything was perfect in every way, from Room Service, Facilities, Staff always helpful. The Room, Bathroom were big with plenty of space to walk around. I will definitely use this Hotel again
Hotel was very clean, room very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Spa was very nice. Food very tasty and did not have long to wait on it.
Breakfast order was incorrect but the staff were quick to rectify the issue.
I asked for a view overlooking the lake & was delighted that my request was taken on board. Beautiful rooms ...clean...staff were excellent!!
staff were efficient and very friendly. food was excellent. I would readily recommend this hotel to anyone.
The friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The relaxed atmosphere and scenic views of the Lough. Loved the live recital on the baby grand piano in the lounge in the evening. The excellent food and wonderful Spa. We'll be back.
Room was too warm even though we kept the windows open. Duvets were too heavy and there was no air conditioning.
V comfortable bed. Nice roomy berth room. Lovely view from the Bar Grill. Reception staff helpful and friendly.
Noise from the road. Room a bit stuffy and then too noisy with window open.
It was just so relaxing The atmosphere is cosy without being intrusive The spa and hot tub looking onto the lake was great
nothing -just wish I had money to return!
