Good location, great facilities, friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast; spacious and comfortable room, friendly proprietor. Easy access for town centre and out into countryside. parking at door
Great place. Good location for zoo trip
Location + very clean staff very friendly .
Lovely, warm welcome from the couple who owned this lodge, nice shower, good location
Squeeky floor boards, metal fixture sticking out ground which we stumped toe on, french doors didn't open onto the garden as described on website
Spacious room Large bathroom Good facilities Free wifi (good signal strength)
Had a quiet peaceful night. Comfortable and clean room. Good shower in morning plus tea. Quiet reading time. Excellent breakfast. Left refreshed. Thankyou.
Bumped head once slightly on a ceiling roof projection because I hadn't spotted its implications. I'm tall. Happy to use that room anytime.
Location is excellent. Couldn't have been better. Very close to Chester Zoo, which was the main purpose of our stay. Parking really convenient, right in front of the house. Friendly welcome. Bathrooms very clean and functioning well. Wifi worked well.
Though we were there for 2 nights, service is okayish (apart from a friendly welcome), not great. Wouldn't put them above a Holiday Inn or even a Premier Inn. Decor though pretty was a bit dated and dusty. Bedside lamps did not function, so at the end of the day when I wanted to read a book in bed, couldn't. Cant say too much about breakfast as we had basic stuff.
Location and friendliness of staff was fantastic.. Lovely stay.
There was nothing that as a family we didn't like.
Comfortable top floor single room; not ensuite but bathroom opposite that 'nobody else uses'. Satisfactory breakfast.
On first arriving, parking necessitated blocking in a van that evidently was owned by workers who were staying there. When I first pointed this out, the response was 'but how will they get out in the morning?' (Though this did beg the question of why they were parked there at 4.00 in the afternoon.) However, another person - who appeared to be part of the management of Kilmorey, appeared and removed his car, allowing me into a space that did not obstruct the van - and, yes, the van was driven away at 8.00 am next day. So that worked out for me but I would be wary about taking a car as the parking is very limited. Also, OK, my room, though not ensuite, was opposite a bathroom but this was not pointed out when I was first shown the room. Finally, although I was asked what time I wanted breakfast, when I went down at 8.30, there was no space. Not a great inconvenience for me as the meeting that I was due to attend was not until 10.30 am. but it could cause problems.
My friend and sister booked the triple room on the ground floor for one night. The room was beautifully clean and well equipped. The breakfast choices were extensive and well presented. We would definitely recommend it and will book again on our return visit to Chester....well done and thank you.
Friendly helpful staff Great breakfast Beautiful room Comfortable beds
Breakfast was good
Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable Workmanship of Decor could of been better
Very helpful family . The owner removed his car to accomodate our's.
Wifi was not good. Had to come to the lounge to have access to the wifi. It is a bit far from the market area.
When we arrived we were meet and greet which we was glad to see on our first time staying in Chester
there are 3 flight of stairs to go up wide stairs till we have to go up to the attic where we have to bend our necks to the sides as it was in an angle room 7 we stayed in triple room family of 3. Soon we walked in it was so so hot in the rooms the windows wasn't open and we asked for a fan but there wasn’t one! The double bed was made but the single bed wasn't they were still waiting for laundry delivery at 4pm! When we came back from a walk it was made up but like they couldn't be bothered one side of the sheet was tucked the other wasn't and bonus the duvet cover was inside out! Anyway the views was either the main road or the back of the houses I find it noisy transport passing and people screaming when last orders over the road, we had problems connecting to the WI-FI so they got Wi-Fi code from next door B&B it works on and off so u better off going over the pub connect to the Wi-Fi there. Bathroom was lovely expt the bath and sink takes about 10 min to empty so I take the plug off and it was blocked with other people hairs and uuurrrghhh it was disgusting, the fan was noisy too and it wasn't cleaned. Next day for breakfast was ok you help yourself to cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt, tea or coffee, the waitress comes ask what u like for breakfast and we all said full english, but it wasn't according to the board we had everything expt hash brown and fried bread! She didn't even asked how we like our eggs as it said, boiled, fried, poached or scrambled. So I marked it 4/10 we went to Chester Zoo and City Centre when we came back the double bed was made beautiful expt the single it still inside out the room wasn't hovered, the tea and coffee condiments wasn't refilled! No clean towels either. Over all our rate we say is 3/10 the staff we fab but who ever is the cleaner needs major improvement more training.
Friendly and welcoming staff. The 2 boys are a credit to their parents
Lovely B&B - very clean, well decorated room and en-suite. Friendly hosts (family-run) and a delicious continental or full English breakfast. We would definitely recommend this B&B.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly
The drainage from bath & sink was very slow and the toilet flush kept running. One of the lights didn't work.
loved the location nothing was a problem would defo stay again
Close to town centre. Good accommodation. Would Recommend.
Very clean room, well furnished with great decoration. Comfortable bed and an excellent English breakfast. Jo, the owner was very friendly and accommodating, Will certainly advise friends to stay here.
Pity about the roadworks that were being carried out on the day we stayed, however it certainly didn't detract from a thoroughly enjoyable stay
Freshly cooked breakfast to order. Good location for leaving the car parked while we looked around Chester. Pleasant owners who answered questions about local facilities knowledgeably.
My booking stated a room with French doors facing the garden. We were given an upstairs room at the front of the house overlooking a main road which was noisy from early in the morning.
down to earth reception. Breakfast acceptable I absolutely loved the bed and it was very comfortable.
Was in the attic which was very cramped and claustrophobic It seemed very expensive for this room over two nights.
Hospitality was less warm than some other B&Bs
