A smallish hotel that rings out it is Scottish with its castelations and turrets. Tartan carpets, timber panelling and the quiet "feel" of the place all went towards a relaxing atmosphere in which to sip our malt. The room (oil rig facing!) was very confortable bordering luxurious. Bed superb. In the en suite there was none of your modern kidney saving low squat toilet bowls here; it was an old fashioned high one which, if it were a sofa, it would have been a Wesley Barrel! The food was good but its eating didn't quite match its presentation which was superb. Quite expensive too but it was 4 courses and included little pallet cleansers in between. A good wine selection and price range. Service was efficient but mostly by young trainees spouting the usual phrases which you feel obliged to answer politely. Nevertheless the Kingcraig is difficult to beat if you want a quiet relaxing couple of days north of Inverness. I would say excellent.

1 the weather 2 there was no Auchentoshan behind the bar! (Plenty of other malts though.) 3 the breakfast waiter's shirt looked as ruffled as the highland mountains themselves. Seriously, there was nothing I disliked about this hotel and will come back again given the opportunity.

We liked everything in this hotel.

The excellent service. The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them. Kincraig Castle is a beautiful building with lots of interesting features. Very comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful setting, great friendly unobtrusive staff and above all fantastic food. Would definately recommend. Can't wait to go back.

The Staff were pleasant and professional - welcoming wouldbe a good description. Ll areas ( espcially the bathroom ) were scrupulously clean.

Slightly too expensive

The hotel is a beautiful old building, the rooms are lovely and spacious, with views out to the gardens and beyond. The staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service. The food was delicious. Very enjoyable stay.

Hotel davvero bellissimo, aree comuni (saloni, sale da pranzo, bar) di ottimo livello, bellissimo giardino a disposizione degli ospiti. Camera grande elegantemente arredata, ottimamente accessoriata, bagno grande e pulitissimo. Tenete presente che si trova in posizione piuttosto isolata, a 30 miglia da Inverness, quindi per la cena organizzatevi in anticipo. Si può cenare (bene) in hotel a prezzi mediamente onesti

Un pò lontano da Inverness, ma forse è anche un pregio, dato che si trova in una splendida posizione.

Uitstekende keuken

Es war das schönste Hotel auf unserer Reise,und wir hatten viele schöne Hotels! Es stimmte einfach alles. Ein Traum !!! Das Restaurant entsprach der Spitzenklasse. Das ges.Personal war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr schön eingerichtet, Anlage sehr gepflegt. So kann man in einem Castle übernachten und hat sich nicht finanziell ruiniert. Eher etwas für ältere Ehepaare oder Gäste, da wir mit Abstand die Jüngsten waren, und sind auch schon bald in den 40zigern. Schöner Auftenthalt und gutes Frühstücksangebot.

Nous avons goûté le temps d'une nuit et du breakfast à la vie de château et ce, à un prix aubaine. Nous n'avons pas eu de fantôme mais nous avions les tourelles, le lit à baldaquin, les boiseries et l'ambiance cosy. C'était l'Ecosse jusqu'au petit-déjeuner avec du saumon sur lit de scambled eggs ! Fantastique !
