Nothing. We keep coming back because the place never lets us down
The staff. The rooms and the general ambience of the place is so lovely and relaxing
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for walks and touring Gower
Accommodation itself was very nice but thought that compared to similar priced properties stayed at, that restaurant dining facilities for breakfast quite tired and could do with upgrade.
Great location and staff all v nice
The dog hairs on the floor
The location, the room
Beautiful scenery.. friendly staff. Food ok. Bed was absolutely appalling..we was in room 20.. we didnt sleep for 2 nights...
No wifi in the room
Lovely room and great location
Staff were friendly and helpful
No WiFi access in Annexe where we stopped. So that is the only criticism as it does have WiFi in the courtyard buildings.
Scenery, peaceful location even though it was busy at mealtimes. Lovely atmosphere. Very friendly staff, nothing to much trouble. Beaches glorious. Accomodation definitely 4* Food very good. Breakfast delicious. King room was big.
Accommodation was idealic overlooking gower coastline ideal for ramblers .
There were lots of children in the bar that kept going in & out and leaving the door open. As it was very windy it was quite annoying.
The room was spacious and luxurious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great, including breakfast.
being told that breakfast was included in the price. we were told it wasn't free half way through the service. very poor
the room with a view
As I was staying alone this time, I felt welcome and at ease eating alone in the restaurant off the cosy fire lit bar. The food was ideal (tasty and good portion size) after a day walking the coast path. There was another bar for customers with dogs .
Good location and very comfortable and clean room.
the room was high quality and the location was ideal
The pub!! In need of a spruce up, menu choice not as good as it was a year ago!
Receptionist was really friendly, and rooms were fabulous.
The room was lovely, the bed was great and the staff were fantastic they set up the room as requested and had chilled prosecco waiting for us on arrival.
The accommodation was excellent. The pub food was very good and the staff were very helpful.
no internet or mobile in room. avoid room 2 for that reason. poor internet anyway.
friendly good service.
The staff were fabulous nothing was too much trouble , in both the hotel and the pub
Rooms were really nice and clean. Staff really friendly.
No carpet in the rooms (not even a rug) which didn't make for a cosy feeling. Tiled floors are not easy for dogs to walk on or to stand still on when feeding as they tend to skid which was problematic for my old pup. Also, if you want to take your dog into the pub you have to eat in the bar area amongst the pool playing and loud music which wasn't great. (Shame really as on my previous visit the dogs were allowed on the other side of the bar near the fire which was fab).
Visited the King's Head before but had never stayed overnight. It seemed just the job so I made a point of returning at my next available opportunity. The oversized bath is fantastic. Great after a wild wet walk on Broughton Beach. It's in a lovely location and the staff are very friendly. The food was pretty good too and not overpriced. My main reason for choosing it however was because they allow dogs (at a very reasonable £5.00 per night).
pleasant helpful staff great location spacious room perfect for pets(made our puppy's first stay away from home easy)
Our room was situated by the outside door which was slamming closed all night Unfortunately because of the pet friendly tiled floors the footsteps upstairs echoed all night The hot water pressure was extremely low in the bathroom, also the lights around the mirror didn't work Underfloor heating didn't work The pump in the cupboard was so loud, soundproofing this should be a must
Cleanliness of room How dog friendly the entire place was, including the pub Staff were lovely Evening meal and breakfast were lovely
Our room was cancelled despite a 50% deposit being paid 5 months ago! Disgusting. The staff weren't apologetic. We had been moved to a lovely little bed and breakfast and the owner of which implied that the Kings head had cancelled rooms before. Please beware! And our friends who stayed there said that we had dodged a bullet! The rooms were poor and service very slow. Avoid!
Don't expect a signal on your mobile phone. Shower a bit intermittent and water drained slowly.
Modern rooms, underfloor heating, helpful staff, good food, great beer (brewed locally on the Gower), Welsh whisky also very good. A welcome sight as darkness was falling and not far from the Wales Coast path. Wales Coast path in this area has enormous beaches, empty at this time of year (December)
