How comfortable the rooms were. The breakfast was lovely on the Sunday morning with live singers. I think the patisserie section of the breakfast should be fresh rather than pre-packed.

Lovely room and bathroom hotel very nice and comfortable.Reception very good. Breakfast average. I think the car park should be free for guests this needs to be made clearer on booking.Close to train station but quite a walk into the city.

The room was lovely and big. The bed was sumptuous, masses of room to stretch out and was so comfortable as was the bedding and pillows. Couldn't master the heating/air con unit. It was either too hot or too cold.

Lovely spacious rooms with amazing bathroom. We had his and hers bath robes, slippers. Each room also has climate control. Breakfast was great choice and freshly prepared. Lovely cocktail bar with wide range of drinks. Staff were not very attentive in bar when it was busy other than that they all were lovely oh no iron in the room once mentioned to reception was in our room with 10 mins.

This was a fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful but also professional. The room was spotless.and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was amazing and the breakfast was equally good, both in choice and quality of produce. The parking fees are a bit steep.

Excellent location - literally across the road from the train station. A ten minute walk into town centre. Lots of really good restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Really helpful and polite staff. It was my boyfriends birthday - they were very accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable. The only negative thing I'd say is we didn't have enough time there!!!

The design/theme was unusual with lots of interesting features and historical items of interest. The Main hotel was very friendly and the Kings Quarter gave the feeling of being slightly more secluded. All the staff were very helpful and they had live music at breakfast and dinner both of which were a very good standard and the selection of songs was also varied and interesting. The food was nothing special but we really enjoyed it and the quality of presentation and service was good. The Full English Breakfast was also very good and they served until 11.00 at weekend which was good. Found a great pub for lunch on the Canal Path called The Old Harkers Arms It felt very removed from the shopping area/city centre although in practice it was only 10 minutes walk before you got into the main area. The canal walk was ok but would recommend a taxi at night if you go into the city centre.

all excellent - easy to find, quick check in and in our room with minimum fuss, totally unique room and hotel, short walk to the city centre. parking was expensive at the hotel, but there are alternative options nearby if you are willing to walk a bit. the residents bar closed at 11:30.

The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The hotel was convenient being across from train station where you can walk to city centre or take the shuttle at the train station for one pound. Breakfast was very good with many choices.

On the whole everything was good parking fee for residents abit of a cheek, and the extortionate price of a run of the mill bottle of wine which wasn't in the room on arrival

The duty manager was very helpful. Breakfast was good. They hadn't got a record of our booking. Good jo I checked night before. I was told we'd have a superior room but when we got there it was an executive shoe box next to a very noisey lift. We were offered room in main hotel we took it for the space but regretted it after as bed was awful and pillows and very tired and dusty. Also no remote for old tv. Really felt quite agrieved that we payed 179 pound for b&B. Would not stay again.

not much! a cold weekend but on arrival room was FREEZING. We were told that heating not on until 5pm Not good as my wife wanted to 'pamper' but couldn't even take coat off in room. We were moved to the Queens but room needed updating. we paid £209 for B&B but would have expected a rebate on the room we moved to. In the bar had to sit in overcoats as so cold in public areas. We cancelled table as thoughts of sitting in a cold dining room was too much and went elsewhere to eat. The walkway from reception to Kings Quarters was like a fridge. Best part breakfast but was glad to go home next morning.

Spacious rooms. Room decor Friendly staff The live music at breakfast Parking seemed a bit of an issue. I risked leaving my car in the 30 min drop off zone over night as the car park was full. Luckily I got away with it but felt uneasy doing it. However I understand space for parking is limited due to locality of the hotel and train station
