I very much enjoyed my stay at the Kings at the Queen Hotel. We had to move rooms for breakfast where it was manic and we had to wait to be seated. Also it was self service with a long queue. Not what I would expect for the price. |

Was not told there would be a Christmas party underneath us until 1.00 in the morning. Felt like we were away from the hotel through a corridor which was very misleading.Had to wait three hours for dressing gowns to arrive. We had a dirty cup in our room. View was over a carpark. Very dissappointing stay. |

Good sized room with all mod cons for a 4 star hotel. Good quality food. Breakfasts especially good. Restaurant good if slightly overpriced. Very busy with the start of Christmas festivities but this did not cause us any problems. The Kings building at this hotel had only been opened for about a year and we did have a couple of minor problems with the room i.e. shower tap falling off but this was resolved by the staff shortly. TV was not very good quality and very slow. However, overall it was a pleasant stay. A minor point was the complimentary toiletries in the rooms, which were large - fixed to the wall containers. These were very difficult to use and I feel that a hotel with 4 stars should not offer this type of containter - it smacks of penny pinching. Face cloths were also not standard. Minor points but worth mentioning. |

Excellent room decor and services. Very relaxed breakfast experience, with good quality food. The staff were all very polite and helpful. My only disappointment was that I was unable to book a table in the Grill at a suitable time for myself on the Friday night. I had forgotten to book before 5pm and unfortunately I hadn't been asked when booking in. |

It was a very interesting hotel with lots to look at. The rooms were very comfortable and the bed was great. It was also very convenient to have a bath and a shower in the room. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal. It was also very handy having the courtesy bus running every 10 minutes to the town centre (you can get this bus outside the train station opposite the hotel). We visited the hotel as it was my partners birthday and we had a brilliant time. We would go back again. There's not a lot to not like about this hotel, just a few tiny niggles like not having a tea spoon at breakfast and paper napkins! |

The interesting artifacts, the quaint way the rooms are all linked with a King and each floor is a different country. The comfort, the staff, the food. Everything. Nothing whatsoever. Just the boys running and making a noise at 3.00 am. |

Our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was excellent with a big bath and a separate shower. We ate our evening meal in The Waiting Room. It was quite busy. I ordered fish & chips which came with bread & butter and a cup of tea. I had to ask for the bread and butter and the tea. The b&b arrived but no tea. I felt awkward having to keep going to the bar to chase so I left it. There was also no salt in the salt pot, nor in the replacement that was brought. I mentioned the problem at reception when we checked out but did not receive a particularly 'bothered' response. |

A hotel modern in design, clean bathroom and room with flat screen tv and ipod speakers etc. The bar prices were very expensive and was disappointed with the size of the room compared to our friends room which was much bigger even though we paid the same price |

The bedroom was brilliant, with a very comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also faultless with a separate shower and bath. Also liked the art work in the lobby. Also found that parking on the train station car park was roughly £4 cheaper than parking on the hotels carpark for 24 hours. The only problems we experienced were: On arrival we were told to check-in in the Kings quarters, however when we checked out on Monday as there was no sign of any staff members in the Kings we had to walk through the hotel with all our bags to check-out in the Queens hotel. Surely if the King at Queens hotel is classed as a more luxurious upgrade to the rooms in the Queens and you're paying more for the service the recpetion desk should be manned at all times?! Also on the Sunday night the restaurant and bar did not open in the Kings quarters. The service at breakfast was a little lacking, on Sunday morning we were able to eat our breakfast in the Kings restaurant but on Monday had to go through to the Queens. |

Ideally situated near to Chester city centre, extremely comfortable and luxurious with excellent quality food. Car parking was horrendous at £8 per day with insufficient spaces available, The barrier frequently indicated that the park was full not allowing entry when spaces could be seen, Abysmal!! |
