Good value. Not pretentious , but comfortable with all the required facilities. Good standard of bathroom fittings , and clean.
had everything we needed Clean freshly cooked & generous breakfast let us leave bags there after checkout short walk to the river, Naval College, Maritime museum etc.
pub entrance was slightly off- putting credit card machine not working
Convenient for Greenwich events. Recently refurbished bathroom. Free drinking water in corridor, facilities for making tea and coffee, stable wifi.
Quite noisy street (better ask for rooms on back side). Not close to any tube stations. Furniture very basic if you plan to work: one chair, no table. Breakfast very slow because it is served, no buffet, and most options are based on eggs and butter. OK for tourism, reasonably priced, would not recommend it for work.
Staff was very professional; Very clean; Very nice bathroom; Very pleasant breakfast
Room was too noisy as it was facing the main road with lots of traffic Restaurant was not working (for dinners)
Nice, cosy hotel. Friendly staff. 4-5 minuttes wal to the Light Rail, from where you get a train to central London in 15 minuttes. 5 minuttes walk from the Greenwich Median Line. Very nice neighbourhood, very London-like :-) Would absolutely stay at King William again :-)
Friendly and approachable staff. Location. Value for money
Busy road, but didn't keep me awake.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel close to amenities, the manager was friendly and helpful.having tea and coffee facilities in the room is nice to have even if you only get two milk on the tray..
Quite noisy at night time ,the full English breakfast was not nice.would be a good idea to have the cereals, and other breakfast items out so guests can help them selves, teapots would be good too instead of being given a just a cup of tea or coffee..
Location is good. It was clean enough.
No parking, rooms are tiny! Staff were not very friendly esp the breakfast host.
I had a one bedded room, which migh be of the size of the double rooms too, but for such one it was spacious enough. The bus runs just from in front. Generally good service to get to the city. Greenwich is a very nice part of London, and the hotel is quite close to most of the sights too. Friendly staff, very pragmatic from the beginning.
This is obviously not the drawback of the hotel, but on weekend, if one want to get to the city early by ToL and the Jubilee line is not working, this may take some time...
There wasn't a plug in the room near to a mirror so I could see to straighten my hair.
The lady at the reception was very helpful and very friendly. Defiantly we will be back to this hotel if we will come to greenwich. Thank you very much
The staff was very friendly, and extremely helpful. Really liked the food, the Veggi King breakfast, was my favorite. It had nice sauteed mushrooms and the eggs were well done. The location was very convenient for my getting to the ExCel exhibition center for my going to The World Science Fiction convention. The bus being right outside, the door, was very convenient. I loved the fact that except for the one time, the water, was nice and hot, so much that it was nice having to turn it down. Where I live, the water, can sometimes, be lukewarm, so this was nice. Overall a good experience.
As a person, with some walking problems, and finding stairs a bit of a pain, I would not recommend it for anyone with that problem. Also the boiler broke, on Wednesday morning, and I had no hot water, to shower and wash my hair, that morning. However, the hotel, did get it working by that evening, and the water was as hot as before. There was a bit of street noise, and some of the people from the Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights, were a bit loud. However, it did not really bother me, as I used to live in NYC and got used to street noise. Others however, may not like that, and should get a room on the non street side of the hotel. Being a larger person, that bathroom was quite small. That should not however keep anyone else from staying there.
could not turn the water off in the shower and the bed was very good
big room at a cheap price for London, breakfast was good (though pancakes like crepes), not so far from train station, good restaurants nearby, bed comfortable, small fan in room, nice art on wall
very old-fashioned shower from up high and unmovable so hard to rinse lower half of body
Very efficient and helpful staff who took time to contact us re some articles we had left in the room.
No Aircon so can be a bit stuffy in the room even with window open.
I liked this hotel because it tries to have a character and personality. The location is good too because you can walk to the tube (if you don't have too much luggage). But the road in front of the hotel is really annoying and noisy!
I had my breakfast while the large dining area TV was playing loud Jeremy Kyle show!!! Horrid way to start your day. And this doesn't match at all with the character this hotel is trying to achieve. Where was the manager to prohibit this? Later I wanted to stay more in the hotel, have a coffee etc till my meetings but I left it because the TV was also playing loud stupid shows and news. The artwork in my room was horrid. Did they buy it from Argos? It d be better if walls had nothing.
Its an older property and has character unlike a lot of hotels. There is a bar on site which also serves food and its also well serviced with nearby shops and bars etc.
There is no elevator.
Free wifi. Friendly staff. Accessible to bus. Bus stop is right in front. Free breakfast.
The carpet needs to be cleaned. Pillows and bed not too comfy. There's no lift.
the receptionist was excellent.
Dingy corridors , loud music from the bar - no air con. Breakfast was awful
Good value for London. Good location for Greenwich and O2 Parking locally is residential but available to everyone after 16:30 up to 11:00 next day
Road a bit noisy, but then it is in London
The helpfulness of the staff. And the value for money.
There was an issue with getting the room pass to work after check-in.
The room was a decent size, with nice decor. We were able to check in before check-in time
These are minor quibbles: No soap only shower gel which was secured in the shower, tiny amount of toilet roll (tho more supplied when requested). Big quibble: Breakfast was good but you have to pay £5.00 more if u want 2 items (such as wanting cooked breakfast as well as cereal). Bizarre and not a pleasant surprise.
The whole experience and location to the concert I attended
I was expecting a little shabbiness given, the price,it's exterior and that it is in the poorer part of Greenwich was we had a super room, clean and comfortable, the staff were polite and welcoming and the breakfast beats a formula type hotel hands down. Also to get back and forth from the O2 was unbelievably easy by bus. Who needs a taxi?
