We'd just missed the farmers market on Friday which was a pity. Science convention in the square on Saturday. A real hive of activity. Lots of lovely historical buildings and the Abbey gardens were lovely even on a wet march day.

We live in Leeds so the trip to Abingdon is one of our favourites .A small market town with lots of places to eat and lovely Oxfordshire countryside and wildlife. Nearby Bletchley Park is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of places to walk in Abingdon and lots of history to discover. Oxford is only a bus ride away and they are very regular .Would never drive there.

Check there is not a party or wedding reception the night you are staying. The restaurant, bar and lounge are unavailable and the music goes on until midnight. Not inform of the lack of facilities before or on arrival. Received standard email with restaurant and bar opening times the day before we were due to check in.
This was our second stay in a month at the Hilton Gardens in Abingdon, and we loved every minute. the hotel is immaculate, the staff are delightful and we’re so welcoming of our 2 young Pug girlies, and treat them like royalty. The room is immaculate, the bedroom a lovely big size, my husband walks with a large walking aid, so plenty of room for that and an amazing wet room facility, with a gorgeous shower and tons of hot water. Its truly like home from home, and I can’t wait to stay again soon, when visiting my family in Abingdon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dinckley Court. It’s a beautiful property located as it is alongside the River Thames and the perfect spot for visiting Oxford and other nearby parts of Oxfordshire. There are many great options for eating nearby. We received a very warm welcome from Annette and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay at Dinckley Court again!
Very handy location for us as family live in Steventon. Stayed in the accommodation that is situated off the courtyard / beer garden with your own front door. Bus stop to Abingdon and Oxford very short walk and also a coop which was handy. Car park was right next to accommodation as well so overall really handy for getting bags in. The beds were very comfortable and we would book again.
Overall a very enjoyable stay. Very good parking by door, good sized utility and downstairs WC. Excellent, spacious and comfortable downstairs with lounge and kitchen dining areas and very large TV. Both bedrooms were very comfortable, one having an ensuite. Heating effective throughout. Oxford buses stop near but and Waitrose excellent. Abingdon Museum worth a visit.
The apartment block was quiet and the other residents respectful of the no noise after 9pm rule.
Great central location close to Abingdon town centre
I highly recommend breakfasts at R&R and a visit to Mostly Books around the corner.
There's buses regularly into Oxford from just round the corner every 20mins.
Good central location in a lovely part of Abingdon. Free on site parking. Very close to town centre, supermarket, Abbey Meadows and the River Thames. The hotel has its own Pod Point EV charger, and there are plenty more available in the public car park a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
This place could not have been more perfect. It was beyond spacious, homely and really close to the town center. We had a washer and dryer which was wonderful. It had great parking, two spaces which is hard to find in Abingdon.
We had a wonderful meal when we arrived, not too long to wait. Enjoyed the room.
We could sit inside or out at the dinning and drinking areas.
Very close to beauty spots and Oxford.
Great location for a wedding in Abingdon. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Shower was very good. Continental breakfast choice was fantastic. Staff were helpful.
The Breakfast more than adequate, nice & fresh in the fridge. Excellent location especially for Didcot Railway Centre, Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Food was delicious.
the buffet breakfast is fantastic. coseners is great for abingdon. if you want cheap eating out, wetherspoons The Narrow is excellent, in the town centre.
