St Neots, Cambs
This bed and breakfast offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms in a peaceful courtyard. It is within walking distance of the middle of Abingdon and has a heated indoor swimming pool. An excellent alternative to hotels in Abingdon, this bed and breakfast is on the outskirts, just 8 miles from Oxford. There are amenities such as gas stations, cash points, stores, many restaurants and a sports center all within walking distance. All rooms include private door access, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. You can leave your car in the ample private parking lot and, on a sunny evening, enjoy the walk to the local pub on the banks of the Thames River. A continental breakfast, including fresh coffee, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, juice and toasts with butter and jam are served in the guests' room at a time of the guests' choosing. Hotel Rooms: 10

The location, nice friendly staff, breakfast included within the price. It states on your website that b&b users can use the swimming pool for free from 7am to 8am, however when I got up at 7am to use it, it was locked and I later found out there was a charge for using it. - Confusing.

A nicely renovated farm with unique rooms, small but all done very nicely. We were on a short visit to nearby Oxford, but would be happy to come back with friends for a longer stay. Full breakfast brought to the room is a nice touch! The driving instructions provided from the Booking.com website were completely wrong! They sent us to a health facility in the centre of Abingdon (Cranberry Lane). Fortunately there was a man on the street who was able to give us directions to find the cottages - otherwise we would never have found them. An off-hours telephone number on the website would help as well. Please review the driving instructions to ensure they are corrected!

Room chilly, unable to turn heat on at night, plug sockets not conveniently placed, lighting very poor, drapes did not keep out light from courtyard, nowhere comfortable to sit and read or use laptop, bed very soft (2 mattresses!) bathroom fan noisy and seemed to go on for ever.

Not a great deal. Apart from the shower in Room 1 and the heated floor. The Barn looks great but we were not in the barn we were in the chalet type accommodation at the back of the barn. Just had the feel of low quality accommodation. My colleagues room was worse than mine - smaller, cold, a rail and a cutain for a wardrobe. I just think it was poor value for money - not worth £55-60 - breakfast was cold and you had to eat it in your chalet !

The staff were very friendly and approachable. The chalet type rooms are quirky with outside seating areas to relax with a coffee. Over all it was peaceful in a beautiful setting. We didnt enjoy having to go in to town every evening, then have to find somewhere to park to go for an evening meal. We would gladly have chosen and paid for an evening meal 24hrs in advance, if that had been an option available at Kingfisher Barn.

Unfortunately we were unable due to our lateness of arrival were unable to use the swimming pool - we will have to save that for next time. The breakfast service was excellent and the lady that brought it was very accommodating and polite We turned up at 7.30 and everything, other that other guest rooms was in darkness and we were a little unsure how to check in. Clarification should be given to guest when booking what to do as once we found the telephone number it all worked very smoothly but took us about 10 minutes

Reception welcome and carried my suit case to my room was excellent service. The room was very clean and inviting, had everything you needed. Walk in shower was very clean and decor was excellent. Ground floor with a view of the court yard with lovely flowers and an outside table with chairs on your own patio was a very nice touch. Full English breakfast brought to my door by the chef on time was fantastic. I will be coming back very soon and I will be recommending to my work colleagues. Shame it does not have a restrauant

Lovely buildings, staff welcomed us warmly and the room we had (b&b) was not awesome but still really nice No Wi-Fi (the code was missing in the room and when we asked the code we were given the wrong one) about the breakfast, a few things like one orange juice for two only?

Nothing Room 5: room dirty, bathroom floor tile broken, bathside hanging off, stains on sheets and pillow, bed worn out, decor damaged, hair on microwave, only one toilet roll (had to ask for more), room next to heating system so noise all night from boiler and circulation pump, plastic hangers in wardrobe. This is rated as a 4 star! We give it 2 star and that's generous. Staff apologetic but ineffectual (can't contact manager for four days).

Although close to Abingdon was surounded by fields, a beautiful setting. It had lovely areas outside our rooms to seat and the added bonus of a swimming pool.

Friendly staff who went out of their way to apologise for the noisy guests in the adjoining room, (party until 2am) and the lack of working lights in the room. Other than that the location was good as we were attending the cla Game Fare at Blenheim Palace.

As I stayed in the bed and breakfast as opposed to the self-catering it was nice to get breakfast brought to your room at a time of your chosing. Like the fact that you can come and go as you please. Very peaceful and quite.
