The room was lovely, big fireplace, big windows, comfy bed Breakfast was excellent.
Freezing cold bathroom when trying to get ready to go out for the evening! Light above mirror in bathroom not working so difficult to do make up as no mirror in main bedroom either. One bedside lamp not working. No drawers to put underwear etc in. No full length mirror.
Room spacious and well furnished - nice old fashioned features.
Bathroom a little chilly with the faint odour of cigarettes from the vent axia. Room located above the bar which was noisy until the late hours. Music from the bar audible from 7am on Sunday morning. Location on the street was noisy with a lot of shouting and yelling from below. Breakfast was adequate, although their was no fresh fruit.
Room was basic , cold and not very clean. The bed was not very comfortable and do not consider it is worthy of being labelled a "boutique hotel". No parking facilities. Noisy delivery of beer barrels etc immediately below our window very early in the morning.
Genuine hospitallity and efficient helpful staff.. Thank you.
Clean, comfy, well decorated. Love the idea of "boutique" rooms. Lovely pub.
large room, good bathroom with luxury toiletries, tasty breakfast
noisy rooms, no off-road parking, bedroom lacked character - furniture looked too cheap
Parking, or lack of it.
Very welcoming staff and big, clean, well furnished rooms. Good breakfast.
You are above a pub on the main high street so expect noise until late and early morning deliveries.
clean, recently refurnished, close to the train station
no free parking
although the room itself was well appointed with a modern bathroom it was very small and expensive for what it was but the main complaint was the horrible staircase carpet upto the room with a filthy rear fire door that was always open which was the main way to the room. the breakfast staff were marginally off.
Room near dutbins
Food & service
Bit noisy until around midnight
very nice restaurant
i had a very small, and warm room. 1person. maybe the dubble rooms are better?
seize of the room
trucks unloading under the window from 06h00 - 07h00 very poor working wifi no shower, only bath difficult to step in
Would not connect to laptop, only to phone. Strange
Great location and good accomodation. Helpful staff and clean accom.
Unfortunately I stayed the night they had tradesmen working till 1 in the morning and drunks yelling at the outside bar. Was offered a new room away from the noise and treated well.
Good if you want to be in the middle of Berkhamsted. Bed was quite comfortable with a good bathroom and breakfast fine.
room was a little small, not particularly well ventilated, quite expensive and with a good view of bins (with quite a lot of noise early in the morning). Ridiculously priced mini-bar.....
Good location and helpful staff very enjoyable stay
Central location Pleasant ambience Decent food
No parking Bar area and immediate outside can be noisy, especially at weekends.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly.
stuff were very friendly. sitting in the lobby I felt so comfortable like to be at home :)
Internet was a little bit slow
The location was great. The bathroom was very nice. The room was very clean. The facilities in the room were very good: a fan, ironing board, iron, hair dryer, fridge, nice quality toiletries and tea making facilities.
For the money I was paying for a small single room, there were some disappointing aspects to my stay: Only 1 out of 4 light bulbs worked, despite telling them about after my first night, the bulbs did not get replaced. The water pressure on the shower was very poor. Nowhere to put clothes except on a shelf. My particular room overlooked where deliveries took place, so every morning around 5am I was woken up by delivery vans.
Great staff, pleasant restaurant
Rooms overlook road and or bar area. Very noisy with late drinking. Breakfast starting at 7.30 is way too late from a business mans perspective.
Room and food very good
No parking at the hotel, on main street or public car park. Breakfast started too late 07.30 am
Small single room.
