Friendly, comfortable, clean, brilliant evening meal, good company and a good breakfast
Wasn't keen on the homemade bread with breakfast (flavour)
Staff and food excellent
very busy road outside so Traffic noise made it difficult to sleep
The actual pub looked lovely but didn't get to try the food.
Booked the on-suite room but didn't expect a sort of porta cabin. However. it seemed well appointed but the carpet hadn't been cleaned. The problem was that there was a smell in the room and my wife became asthmatic. We had to check out as the room wasn't suitable but had to pay the full charge of £80.00. A small discount, maybe as we didn't have the breakfast would have helped.
Staff were very helpful could not have been better
It was cold and lots of traffic noise
Had a good night evening meal was very good and also breakfast in morning pub very cosy log fire and vine pint
Excellent value , friendly staff , good food , free WiFi , comfortable clean room.
Location on a busy road leads to some road noise.
Location was perfect for me going between Stansted Airport and Ipswich, price was great, breakfast was massive which covered me until dinner time. There's a big friendly dog!
Some traffic noise at night being on a main road - but i still fell asleep! Some people might not be fussed on a shared bathroom but it was clean and tidy - didn't bother me!
Friendliness of staff / flexibility.
Nice pub, very nice evening meal. staff very friendly, good value.
not for light sleepers - as close to a busy road A120.
Friendly, helpful staff; comfortable bed in large room with good ensuite; tea, coffee and toiletries included; very nice breakfast; excellent room rate.
Great hotel, staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend
Super clean confortable rooms with everything you need. Fantastic breakfast & lovely owners
Road a bit noisy at night if your not used to traffic noise.
Lovely friendly host as well as there three dogs. Breakfast was great value for money which was included in the room rate while the room was of descent size with adequate facilities.
This is only one problem which you cannot help and that is the road noise but other than that it was lovely.
We booked an on-suite room and on arrival found we had a chalet with its own garden in the grounds with toilet and very hot shower. The biggest double bed we have found, our own wi-fi router, TV and DVD player. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was superb with friendly and very attentive staff.
It would be very picky to complain that I had no bedside light on my side of the bed but it did make life difficult when I needed to use the en-suite during the night.
My room was separate from everyone else. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Room warmed up quickly with controllable/manual heating.
Shower, no bath... They served 'dinner bread' at breakfast (bread with herbs and bits in it!)
Very relaxed and friendly
The staff are lovely, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was hearty and they accommodated for one vegetarian meal too. The flowers in the garden and at the front of the pub were beautiful. It was a good location for the wedding we attended at a nearby golf club.
It is on a very busy road so it is very noisy. Our bedroom had one window with no curtain so we were woken up when the security light came on and dawn broke (but good heavy curtains on the big window). The toilet made strange noises in the night like it was filling the bowl, despite it not being flushed
The room was lovely, very homely with tea coffee, books, DVDs, hair dryer, fab TV. The bathroom was very clean and had an always hot shower. The food at the Kings Arms is an absolute sensation, we had a sharing platter and soup for our evening meal and it was both filling and extremely tasty! Breakfast was included in our extremely good value rate, there was plenty of choice and excellent portions. We had a fabulous stay at a very good price and would thoroughly recommend the Kings Arms both for the quality of their food and for a very pleasant stay :) thanks guys!
Terrible traffic noise Sash windows wouldn't shut.
Location for our purposes was great.
We were not told we would be staying in the out-house and not in the pub. We booked a double room and recevied a twin. We were informed breakfast would only be served until 8.30am, which on a Sunday morning is very early, particularly as the owners know people are staying over in paid accomodation because they have had a late night. We were told there would be wifi in the room and there was none. The shower did not work and constantly switched between boiling hot and freezing cold. To be charged £80 for a room we did not expect with no working shower was in our eyes very disappointing as it seems very little care was given to advertising the room accurately and towards the comfort of the guests during their stay.
The very friendly atmosphere.
The location on main road meant noisy traffic.
The welcome, beautiful gardens, playground for children, comfy room, super breakfast
Real ale friendliness cleanliness food superb
Very family friendly. Staff couldn't be more helpful, really lovely team.
