very good ,nice room very good restaurant with good food and good prices
Food was good and plentiful, large room, problems dealt with quick. staff good and friendly
no privacy in wet room for toilet, a glass door would help but a private toilet would be better. To get to room had to go through one of the many function rooms, set up like a permanent venue. Reception not at entrance door, not good for security or a welcome to guests. Needs a redesign
Free upgrade of room to the nice cottage types
The tiles in the wet room were very hot!
good bar, lovely room, friendly staff
We had one of the terraced bungalows which was very spacious and had a large bathroom (wet-room). It was quiet and had a great view over the countryside.
There was a bit of building work going on which didn't really bother us but detracted from the ambience a bit. Also there was no WIFI accessible from the room. The bathroom was great but lacked shelving.
Double bed was 2 singles zipped together. Well we thought was zipped together until we fell through middle! Other than that excellent hotel.
The view from the room was far reaching. The bungalow/room was well equipped and modern also very quiet and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Would certainly return.
Unfortunately there were no instructions for the heating/lighting and tv. The bathroom door is a little too clear (easy to sort) and the noise because of the design of the bathroom isn't brilliant. These are very minor things that in no way detracted from our stay
the meal the staff the rooms everything
haveing to leave
Wet room very wet!!
Even at the special price of £80, the upgrade bridal suite was totally overpriced !! 2nd room for mother was cold, did not heat up for hours only one TV channel. Uncomfortable bed springs Shaving foam up the rafters Bulbs missing from lights No toilet privacy ! Noisey workmen and machinery at 8.20 am right outside our window Grubby dining area
The bed was really comfy and the staff and quality of thefood excellent.
My room had a wet room which personally I'm not very keen on.
I was on training in Featherstone and having King's Croft as my choice of accommodation was the wisest decision I ever made. The hotel is close to all the facilities that one needs in everyday life. The staff are very so courteous and friendly one cannot fail notice that it is a enterprise. It is indeed a home away from home. Besides, it is good value for the money.I will always recommend this place to all who want a vacation that is quiet and fulfilling.
It was convenient - stayed for Christmas party. Small bathroom was nicely finished.
Difficult access to the room - due to building works had to enter via a fire exit. The external door wasn't locked so concerned about security. Very small room needed better organising - had to boil kettle on the floor.
The friendly atmosphere, the size of the rooms and the location were all great. My friends wedding was the next day and the reception was held here as well. The food was amazing and the staff were helpful.
The shortness of my visit to Pontyfract.
I have stayed at his hotel on a number of occasions. The staff have always been very good. The owner is always approachable and open to any suggestion of ways to improve. This is a forward going hotel, it is comfortable and easy going. Parking is excellent and the setting and surroundings are superb also finding it is a doddle. It is well positioned for all motorways.
Only the bad weather on he day before leaving.
A really nice atmosphere lovely people will stay again.
I was in one of the 'bungalows' which was great for quietness and comfort plus parking outside.
Friendly staff, great breakfast
Restaurant food was well presented, well served and good. Wine list was pleasantly inexpensive.
Strongly disliked having to go outside in the rain, round the back and up a fire escape to get to my room. The only inside route goes through a function room so if there is a function on, you are in the cold. Unexciting, impersonal non-comfy bar. Poor signposting, maze-like route to restaurant, disinterested staff. Apart from one lovely waitress Katie. No phone in room. Wifi slow. Cramped toilet/shower room
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Noisiest bed in the world. Had to ram pillows down the back else it rattled and banged when you breathed. Hair drier didn't work. No bedside lamps so reading by ceiling light. TV remote chained to the bedside table... really? Broken bedside cupboard. Door fell off if you opened it.
Staff moved us to another room without any problem, smaller room, but glad to be away from the noise! New room basic but clean and warm. Breakfast was good, all you needed and more. Staff very pleasant at breakfast too.
Family room directly above function room, very noisy!! The room was cold, radiator cold in the twin room. New room standard basic, no shower screen and after four people having showers the bathroom definitely became a wet room! No hanger in bathroom for clothes so these had to sit on the floor too! Tiled throughout in the bedroom main area, not really nice when getting out of bed.
access, comfortable bed
room very cramped, whole of wet room floor deep in water and therefore dangerous and unpleasant to use
As I said, did not know the hotel existed but will certainly be using you in the future for our many visits to Pontefract and District during the year. We have been coming to Pontefract now for 26yrs. wish we had known of your existance before. Cannot find fault with anything 5*.
No Faults with anything.
Breakfast was excellent wifi signal is very good and fast the building is beautiful as well as the surrounding areas
Loud music until 1:30 in the morning was a massive annoyance where the breakfast was held needed to be directed a lot better and general maintenance needs to be done inside few leaks from ceiling in hallways little bit of damp in room skirting boards coming of in places for £60 was ok but won't be staying again
