Noise of Taxis arriving at night to pick people up from pub, and sounding there horns.

Warm welcome, the food, comfy room sand very good value. Massive convenient car park. Pleasant town centre feel with space around and much greenery yet in prominent position so very easy to find. Enjoyed ambience so much we went back for lunch on the way home.

Two minute wait to be let back into the bar breakfast area in the morning. But then lovely fresh tea and toast came in another two minutes. Thankyou!

the bedroom was just missing a chair and the bed was uncomfortable due to the fact two singles were joined together to create a double. i awoke with backache on both mornings

A lot of traffic road noise due to its location on a busy junction. The heating contrils for the radiatoes in the room was loacted in the passageway! Guests should be informed how to operate the heating on arrival instead of wasting time trying to locate the thermostat.

The pub is located in central Lanchester, on the green overlooking the church, so it's all very beautiful and central. Beds are comfortable and en suite, tv in room. Not too small.

The rooms are not very clean or glamorous, but are fine for a room over a pub. The main issue is sound, though. The pipes howl when the neighbours flush their toilet, and I was woken up by the snoring of the man in the room next door. We were not especially refreshed! Breakfast is bread, a toaster, milk and some boxes of cereal. This is fine as far as it goes, but a shame there's no cooked breakfast on offer, given this is a pub which mainly serves food.

room very small, but did what we needed, it was a little strange making your own breakfast in a corridor, and then not having space to eat. we took toast and cereal back to out room and shared the dressing table to eat. only suitable for very short stays.

Meals were excellent and good value for money. Breakfast facilities were mentioned on the website so this was expected and we did not have a problem with this, unlike other guests who obviously did not read the information or know abouth this arrangement. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely location and near to Beamish which is why I chose the Kings Head.

Wi-fi could not be picked up in room 6 on my laptop or on the landing as the signal was very weak. It might be different on the latest phones, I-pads etc, I don't know. Because of this I think either a booster should placed somewhere on the landing or the statement "Wi-fi is available in the entire hotel" and is free of charge, is reworded to account for this. Loud water noise from adjoining room of the toilets filling up or the taps being turned on did keep us awake at night and woke us early morning. Some very small issues we came across but that may be a bit pickie. These being the vent axia extractor fan did not work and the soap dispenser was empty, and there was no real pressure of water in the shower itself. To be honest, the water noise from the adjoining room was the worst thing of all. Apart from this, I would recommend it to people and we would stay again.

Nice personal hotel in a picturesque village

Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Wifi was hopeless, shower even less powerful.
