Uniqueness of the hotel, has appeal for a stay in the Cotswolds. Food was good for dinner and breakfast
Low entry into bedroom, kept hitting head on low beams. but given the building was built 16th century, I suppose this was only a minor irritation.
The Kings Head is situated in a wonderful village, the staff were great and the food was fabulous! really enjoyed the area with great walks and relaxing atmosphere. The locals and the Pub area was also very friendly.
would have preferred a shower rather than a bath but I suppose that's the age/character of the Place!
Lovely little find in the Cotswolds. Cosy and warm with lovely rooms, very clean, and friendly service. Dinner at pub was great. Breakfast included in room rate was excellent quality.
My friend's room was on the pub side and she did say it was very noisy when she went to bed both nights, as conversations travelled straight up into her room.
venue, setting, comfort luxury, bar, general atmosphere, staff etc
the breakfast wasnt particularly nice bit greasy horrible sausage
The whole place was lovely and the staff were great, the bar was very cute as well!
Best breakfast Comfy beds Great location
Visited the Big Feastival and simply booked a night stop. Was very pleasantly surprised! Great value for money - lovely room, maybe the bathroom was a little small. Great breakfast - we will return next year!
Beautiful place, excellent dinners, very friendly and quiet.
A bit isolated and nothing to do in the village. Footpaths were not very comfortable.
Quiet, comfortable and a good dinner.
Would have appreciated some bread, we did not order a starter so our wait for the maincourse would not have seemed so long withsome breadto nibble.
Excellent in all respects
Friendly helpful staff, superb food, great conversion of old pub
We liked the 'quirkiness' of the room/Inn. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were helpful, polite, friendly. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room. Restaurant excellent, as was the food.
There was no disabled parking. Not enough electrical sockets in the room.
Beautiful situation, gorgeous courtyard at the rear leading to the outside rooms. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The kitchen team even came in early to accommodate our early start to the Game Fair (without being asked, they volunteered!) Relaxed dining, delicious food. Would definitely stay again.
Mirror in the room was too high on the wall for me to sit & do makeup/hair whilst his lordship was in the bathroom. Built in wardrobe could have done with a hoover out, & the shower screen wasn't quite as clean as it could have been, but these really are just minor gripes. Overall first rate.
Excellent beer, excellent breakfast, king size bathroom with excellent range of toiletries
The food was excellent as was the old bar area.
As to be expected with such an old inn, the noise from drinkers, etc was loud, but all was quiet by midnight.
The setting was beautiful, just what we expected. The food was excellent and beds were very comfortable
No reduction on meals when you ate at the inn which we did both nights. Service charge added even though we were residents.
Welcoming and helpful staff. Very pleasant room with plenty of space. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Dinner was excellent.
Bathroom a little small and shower a bit temperamental. No handles to help with getting in and out of the bath. Only very thin sliced bread at breakfast.
the location , the staff.
Fantastic stay, no complaints. Good quality, fantastic food, nice rooms. Friendly feeling.
Great location Excellent staff Really pleasant atmosphere Great pub
Wifi didnt work No mounting for shower that was attached to bath Restaurant menu a bit limited but quality very good
great ambiance, good food, friendly staff
Nice comfortable room Pretty area
Menu limited and expensive Not much in the immediate area to walk to.
Good food, good beer, lovely atmosphere.
Although utterly charming, the rooms are somewhat basic
Really beautiful place and bustling pub. Food was great - breakfast and dinner. Comfortable. Efficient, well trained staff.
Shower rather than bath would have been great. More drink/tea choices in room. Not hitting our heads on the beams in the corridor.
The building had plenty of character
The rooms were rather cold
