Best steak sandwich ever Said there was car parking but when I got there at 8 pm it was full. Moreover, it was an elongated garage with about four lines of cars in two rows, so I presume a hotel employee would be moving cars around to let others out. I was advised to leave the car in the surgery car park further around the back. This car park was deserted except for 3 'boy racer' cars diling around. No security and no obvious overlooking houses. No thanks. Had to leave the car parked by the main road all night

Location was good. Room was comfortable and clean. Food was not as good as expected and food is only served in a very small window of time which is not sometimes convenient.

The first thing that we encountered when checking in was the extremley helpful and friendly staff. We ate in the hotel on One of our nights and the quality of the meal was 1st class, as was the quality of the breakfast. Our 7 year old daughter tends to eat what she knows and is used to, this was no problem for the staff who were only too happy tp oblige. We were given lots of helpful hints and advice about the local area, and the whole experience was very enjoyable. When we checked out, the bill was very acceptable for value for money. Perhaps the time limit for breakfast could be reviewed on Sundays.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Lack of real ale in the bars. Surely there would be enough customers to make it worthwhile to offer eg Deuchar's ipa.

Comfort of room and good power shower. Very noisy guests returning late at night/early morning in creaky old corridors & stairs, banging doors and talking at the tops of their voices. But not really the hotel's fault!

The welcome was nice and friendly and the food was very good and well priced. I noticed a smell as we walked in the hotel. The room also was smelly and unpleasant however the room was clean and the bathroom was clean too, but on flushing the toilet it made a very loud noise which went on for rather a long time especially late at night when we were in our bed. The bed was also very uncomfortable and myself and my husband kept rolling into the middle of the bed. We had a very uncomfortable nights sleep. We had a nice breakfast in the morning and left after paying our bill and found another hotel near by. For the money we paid for the room including breakfast I found this to be over priced.

The friendliness of the hotel staff is a key ingredient in this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Overall the Staff makes the place a pleasure to stay in. The Meals such as breakfast and dinners were deliciously made to a very high standard. Outstanding value for the Money !!!!! Christopher and Michael Mullen ( brothers :) ). Everything is Top Notch, No Downsides to the Kings Arms Hotel

Just a couple of minutes from the motorway, the Kings Head is ideally located as a stopover. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, bathroom was fine, the staff were friendly as were the locals in the downstairs bar! Great breakfast in the morning too. Free Wi-Fi a bonus. I won't hesitate to use this place again next time I am in the area, and would recommend it to others. I did not get a chance to sample the food as last orders were at 8.30pm, so I had to eat elsewhere. The food looked good though and reasonably priced, if the breakfast is anything to go by I am sure it is delicious!

Booking in was very welcoming. Breakfast service very good. Disappointed that we arrived 15 minutes after last orders for food. Thought 20.30 a little early to close the kitchen.
