Great beer and great food,
Friendly staff. Hotel a bitt tired but food and welcome we're very nice
Single woman staying felt very safe second time I have stayed and was very comfortable
Felt the waitress was a little impatient
The Reception. The staff were excellent very accomadating. Evening Meal was very good
Garage quite small remember to reverse in. Bacon very salty at breakfast.
Food was good and bedroom comfortable.
Poor service at breakfast. Left waiting for 40 mins. and no one took our order,we had to ask - yet table next to us were being attended to.
The staff were nice and friendly.Comfy bed and space in the room for 3 single beds
Car parking was in a local car park so had to lug the bags a bit of a distance
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff and the ability to have meals on site.
Shortage of rails/rings to hang wet towels.
Made very welcome - including the dog Family room thoughtfully laid out giving greater privacy to older daughter Good breakfast Great central location
The Wi fi was fairly good and the shower was fantastic. I was disappointed with every other aspect of this hotel
There is nothing for kids to do or see in Lockerbie. The hotel is in need of some modernisation, painting, cleaning etc... The hotel would be ok for a group of workmen/ sportsmen looking for somewhere to get your head down but the prices are crazy for what the hotel has to offer
Loved the novelty of the place, it's old fashioned but clean and the staff are friendly.
The toilet in our room would not flush properly, and with a group of friends it could have been an issue but luckily was not as we have known each other for years!
The location is easy to access. The room is comfortable and a good powerful shower. Good food and friendly staff. Glad to have chosen this hotel en route to Scotland.
Absolutely nothing that we did not like.
Comfy bed, clean bathroom free wifi
The hotel was nice and quiet although there were plenty of guest's staying. An ideal location for a stop over on our way up to Scotland and they were more than happy enough to accommodate a 6.30am breakfast which is earlier than normally served.
There was a little mix up with our evening meal which we ordered in the hotel, leaving us with a wait of over an hour. They were very apologetic and offered us a free desert for the inconvenience. When the meal did arrive the food was lovely and plenty of it.
My partner had the Prawn Salad, never seen so many prawns on a plate, incredible value. A quaint old genuine Coach House.
Made very welcome
Staff. The manager seems to be little impatient towards our group (Indians)
location, staff were ok,
found empty wine bottle in wardrobe, the throw on bed had dirty mark on it, room was very small, for being a double,
Convenient location. Typical pub food reasonably priced. Good hot shower.
Limited parking. Breakfast was a bit limited if you did not want a full English. Could do with some updating.
food was very good loved the home cooked scones and cakes, welcoming fires, quick and friendly food orders, nice crockery. good selection of wines and beers. Nice bar staff girl even offered to give us a lift when a taxi wasn't available and we needed to get to a funeral
No Heating in the bathroom[room no 11] tried leaving door open for heat to get in but door hit the bed. none of which was a big deal though. check out time is a bit early as is 9am finish for breakfast.
Excellent breakfast. Hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable
Proximity to the station. Centre for meeting friends who live in the area. Excellent food. Quiet background music Friendly and helpful staff
Nothing really, but for an 84 year old a lift would be an advantage, especially when carrying luggage.
The room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable. The food was good. I would surely stay there again
one member of staff
My room was just what I needed. The spacious en suite facilities unusually included both a bar and a shower. The food was good; and the "senior citizens" menu prices for dinner were a big plus. The staff were friendly and obliging enough but seemed to have had no proper training in hotel work.
The management style was amateurish. On arrival I was not welcomed, merely instructed to fill in a registration form. On departure, I was not asked whether I had enjoyed my stay, nor was any feedback sought. Even though there were few residents and only one other gentleman who was a solo traveller, none of the staff took the trouble to address me by name; and I found the manager's attitude rather condescending, even though he was at least five years my junior. I had the impression that he didn't much care whether his guests would come back again and, sorry to say, I probably won'T.
