Kingsburgh House  

There was nothing I didn't like, breakfast was fabulous and would rival any 5-star hotel (and was included in our stay). Bus service just outside the door made it very convenient to explore the city.

Would enjoy a more consistent WiFi.

This is a very interesting place to stay. Room decoration is traditional and unique. Breakfast is huge and delicious.

Bathroom is a bit small.

The owners are probably the kindest hotel managers I've ever met

Complementary cherry in your room. This 5 star guest house is brilliant for a short stay. Right outside the door is the bus stop serving about 4 buses into the city. Murrayfield statium is also directly across the road

Stayed in the twin room. They were only single beds, but infairness you wouldn't have fit 2 doubles in the room. The power kf the shower was also fairly weak

Welcoming host who made us feel very much at home. The breakfast was outstanding, the location very convenient, all the little extra touches in the room made our stay feel special.

My boyfriend and I highly recommend Kingsburgh House to anyone looking for special experience and great services. Our host was very nice and friendly. The hotel room was really clean as well. The breakfast was really delicious and the portion was really big. We loved the lobby as well as it made us feel so warm and comfy. We had a wonderful time here for our honeymoon trip.

Staff were really friendly, breakfast was perfect. Room was tastefully decorated and spacious. It was a very pleasant place to be.

The only flaw I noticed was the shower. It took ages to get it to the right temperature and it had no pressure whatsoever.

From the minute we arrived Andrena and Alan made us feel welcome, they knew it was a special occassion for myself and my husband and had cards and chocolates in our room. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We will definately be going back soon and taking our daughter with us. Bus service is brilliant and you are only minutes from centre of Edinburgh. 10 out of 10 from us!!

The friendliness of the owners, the comfort of the room and the excellence of the breakfast.

The hospitality of the owners was outstanding, the decor was beautiful and the location was perfect. Stayed with my partner and my parents and we all enjoyed our stay.

The owner was so friendly and most obliging. We found Kingsburgh House so relaxing, comfortable and excellent value for money. Nice and close to the city for visiting the shops and you can leave the car safely and travel by bus to the city, bus stops just a few steps away. The bed was soooo comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic, had the best selection on the cold table. We will definitely go back to stay when next in Edinburgh and will be recommending to our friends.

My boyfriend and I loved this place. We had a honeymoon alike stay at Kingsburgh House.

We liked/loved everything about Kingsburgh House. The parking is off road and secluded and as we entered, the hall was huge and tastefully decorated with christmas decorations. You could see the real fire burning in the front lounge even though we arrived quite late and were welcomed warmly and shown to our rooms. The stairs and landing, as we approached our room, were beautiful with fascinating niknaks from around the world. Our room was gorgeous and the four poster bed and matching old solid oak furniture exceeded expectations. On top of this they had provided champagne and chocolates, as it was our honeymoon, and there was also a decanter of Sherry, bottles of water and mint chocolates, full freeview, a wide and generous selection of shampoos, conditioners, body washes, sewing kits, vanity kits and more as well as towelling dressing gowns. In the morning breakfast ran like clockwork and I was very impressed with the way the staff/ owners managed to find time to chat as well as time everything so perfectly. The array of cheeses, fruits, smoked salmon and crackers provided were a lovely addition to the huge cooked breakfasts. These were so big and piping hot which is rare with cooked breakfasts in my experience. As we stayed for three nights, we had to requests slightly less, just because they were such generous portions. On new years day we were offered Bucks Fizz which was another nice little touch but not surpising of the Kingsburgh because it seemed to focus on making sure the little things were perfects as well as the bigger things. It fully deserves it's five stars and I know myself and new husband intend to return if we visit Edingburgh again. Amazing from start to finish!

Having to leave food but the breakfasts really are that big!!

We were greated with a smile when we entered to when we left, I would highly recommend the kingsburgh suite as it had luxury in abundance!. Would definitely stay there again 5*!!!

The wonderful welcome and care given to us during our stay

We were met by the lovely Andrena who was super informative re all the local attractions and the easiest way to get into and around the city. She showed us to our beautiful room, gave us drinks and snacks, Andrena couldn't have been more helpful, the perfect host. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was amazing. So much to choose from! We will definitely stay again and will recommend to all our friends and family.

The shower in our room could do with modernising a little. The water pressure wasn't the greatest. However this is just my pickiness as I'm used to our power shower. It in no way caused a problem to our stay.

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed here. We had a lovely time and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

A friendly welcoming greeting that a larger hotel could not attain! The feeling of warmth and homeliness was superb, and the many little touches add up to a really nice experience. The offer of wine or beer on arrival, the sherry decanter, water, and juice in the room along with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and quality biscuits make this the place to stay in Edinburgh. The style and charm of the 4 poster bedroom with ensuite makes for a good nights rest.... and then the breakfast in the morning! The breakfast is big enough to keep you going all week!
