I stayed at this hotel when visiting family nearby. My room was comfortable and warm (I could adjust the heating). The staff were pleasant and the help yourself breakfasts very good. All things considered, a relaxing stay. Room service meal promised in 15 minutes, took nearly an hour.

We were starting a 200 cycle ride in a day from the hotel and they were very helpful. Gave us somewhere to store our bikes over night and put together a fruit breakfast due to our early leave in the morning before breakfast was served. The location was great, rooms clean and staff friendly. Our over night stay would have been great other than the evening meal. It was a let down and everything seemed like a frozen packet meal. It was all edible but just a shame really. The mixed grill wasn't bad but though I'd stay there again and am doing so, I'd have to consider eating somewhere else.

The staff were polite but the hotel itself looks run down and in need of modernisation. The carpets in the public areas were filthy and stained. The rooms are dated as were the bathrooms. An old tired hotel that needs a complete refurbishment.

The staff were great, such a change from the usual 'budget' hotel production line. It was just a little 'tired', clean but in need of a little tlc. This would not / will not stop me staying again.

Past its best: stained and worn carpets, dodgy window opening, poor ventilatipon and a faintly "drainy" smell in the bathroom. Decent restaurant, but a bit pricey given the quality of my room. Not a really pleasant experience.

The staff were polite, helpful and always had a smile on their face, even at silly oclock in the morning It isnt just this hotel, all hotels do it..there is never enough milk in the rooms. There is always only ever four sachets of milk and you need all four if not more just to make a decent cup of coffee. It would be helpful if there was a tabletop fridge in the room with a pint of milk, if that was possible im sure a few people staying there wouldnt mind if there was a charge if more milk was needed. Also the coffee in the resturant is disgusting, not everyone likes the coffee you use and it would be nice if we was given a choice, myself and my wife prefer mellow birds, it isnt too strong. But with your coffee no matter how much milk you use its just not nice at all. Talking of milk, it would be nice to be given the option of wether we had whole or semi skimmed, neither of us like whole milk but was the only option we had

I found it good value for money. I found the evening meals expensive particularly as my husband was ill and unable to eat the meal ordered, and through worry I was not able to eat mine , but I came back to the table as we were with a party in the name of newbould. I appreciate the food was cooked for us but a reduction would have been appreciated. After a visit to the hospital my husband is now on the mend.

Ease of access to major routes and specialist areas of Norfolk (eg, tourist attractions, Sandringham, National Trust, preserved railways etc) The evening meal/s offered are not good value. I would suggest B&B only and there are some wonderful pubs and restaurants nearby offering very reasonable evening meals.

“We stayed here one night as we were visiting relatives and this was close by. We usually stay at a well known lodge type hotel but wanted a change and preferred to look for a hotel with a restaurant instead of the usual pub type menu. Found this on booking.com for slightly less than the lodge price and would certainly use this hotel again. Much more than a lodge, friendly staff, a lovely bar area and a restaurant too. We had dinner here and had a choice of bar meal or restaurant. We chose the restaurant menu and the meal was lovely, freshly cooked and served on bone china plates.Breakfast was freshly cooked and served by the chef. He was most helpful with local car park information for the local town. Ideal location close to Kings Lynn and not far to the coast road.” , Mansfield |

“The staff describe themselves in the brochure as a hard-working and committed group working together to produce a good stay for their guests. This is 100% accurate and we experienced the results of that - a very pleasant stay. The room was well appointed, the food was good and there was a spirit of generosity not often found.” Anthony, Edgware |
