Set in the tranquil surroundings of its own 28-acre estate, this characteristic and charming residence is found deep in the Warwickshire countryside, within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon and...

very good breakfast, parking, bar and restaurant available. quite area.
the room was... ok but cannot complain with the price. bit noisy with live music on saturday night but nothing that would be too annoying
Very helpful staff, Great buffet breakfast, friendly bar area, with good selection of food
Really impressed with the quality of food, evening meal in the bar was very nice
Reception staff were responsive to our concern and immediately changed our room. The meal in the restaurant was good.
On entering the room we noticed a few flies and initially dismissed this however there were actually 50 - 100 flies which reflects that something had died in the room as there must have been fly larvae in the room for this to occur (I have been in the pest control industry). We got a can of fly spray from the reception and sprayed the room however then realised that it was unhygienic. We had no response from management only from the reception staff. I asked for this to be specifically followed up with on two occasions.
bar food expensive
Lovely location in beautiful countryside ,able to walk in the lanes after a long trip, friendly staff and a quiet nights sleep
Quite expensive for off season but that could be due to location for the NEC and similar prices to other hotels in the area.
Excellent breakfast, full credit to the chef, the eggs were straight out of the pan, although a buffet breakfast it didn't taste as though it had been left in the heated containers for ages, our bar snack the night before was also good.
The room was excellent. Food and service both very good.
Constant humming noise from adjacent extractor or fan - 24 hours!! It took nearly 20 minutes to get a basin of warm water - very slow flow on the tap.
Fantastic t bone steak. Great traditional bedroom in the original part of the hotel which really suits us, but there are two new blocks of modern rooms which are also very comfortable in which we have stayed previously. Lovely gardens for al fresco eating and drinking when the weather is good.
the staff from front of house, breakfast service, bar staff and housekeeping where professional and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and quiet.
Rooms are nice, beds comfortable, food is good, staff are great.
Good spot for where we needed to be and convenient for Stratford and other sights including National Trust properties. Breakfast and Bar meals were excellent.bed was large and comfortable and we loved the big, beamed bedroom.
Better bedside lights needed for reading in bed. Heating needs attention. The bathroom was cool and the radiator did not work.I was glad it was not the depths of winter!
Very good all round.Staff very helpfull
2 chairs in bedroom windows that opened properly Loads of cushions and very good pillows pen and note pad - very handy
No light on main road to illuminate sign. We missed it twice in the dark. Bathroom floor VERY slippery
The relaxed atmosphere and facilities
I didn't like the old rooms I've had in some prior years stays, but it appears they are upgraded now and certainly the one I stayed in was great
Room was extra large but then I was upgraded free of charge. Free wifi was very useful and quick. There were even power spckets cloae by the bed which is unusually convenient. Room as clean and the bathroom was beautiful. Breakfast was one of the best I have had. All in all a friendly, comfortable and relaxing stay.
breakfast was fantastic, flexible let us check in 1 hour early
pillows were really badly stained
Dirty stairs up to the room The one line photos made the room look quaint when in fact it was faded, dirty and in need of repair. Noisy room from Bar
Receptionist on the booking out in the morning was very understanding
Bed was damp Room was dirty Bathroom had cobwebs Hall in the ceiling was blocked up with tissue
All was good
Room stunk, filthy carpet, filthy furniture, filthy bathroom, insects in bathroom which couldn't be removed because housekeeping had gone home. Don't not under any circumstances stay in the old section!!!
Spacious comfortable room. Wide selection at breakfast and a good value evening meal upgrade
Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spacious !
The only niggle we had was that one of the rooms was near the door way. As the night progressed the door was being slammed shut. Would benefit from a slow door hinge ?
It was peaceful and comfortable and the food was good. Reception staff were friendly and polite.
The hotel was not as clean as it could be, there were cobwebs in our room. And the windows were dirty! With birds nesting in the eves. Our room was part of a family suite, with an interconnecting door, although we were travelling as a couple, so this was not required. The door was not sound proofed in any way, and there were people next door, we could here them clearly and vice versa. Also the hotel fire escape doors were left propped open to the outside, which allowed lots of flies into the corridors, the staff just ignored them, no attempt to spray or eliminate the flies, very unpleasant. Another aspect we didn't like was the internal fire doors were also left open, which worried us. We also felt the cleaning staff were noisy from quite early each morning, the maids door to their office/ store was left open and we were next door to it. In fact the staff seemed preoccupied with chatting to each other throughout the hotel, which I found disrespectful. There were major roadworks taking place outside the hotel and it meant a very long detour to get to our destinations as we could not turn right once leaving the hotel. This was not pointed out by reception and was very inconvenient. Overall this was not the relaxing break we wanted at all
