Loved the location, so handy for the station and tubes. The breakfast was fabulous and so reasonable. The staff were so pleasant and friendly. The room was top notch from the huge bed to the lovely clean bathroom (very important to us women) Also having tea and coffee in the room was very welcome after all the sight seeing and shopping!

Close to the King Cross railway station

The windows in rooms can not be opened. We asked for another room several times. First of all the staff did not want to do anything. They say, it is the protection against thiefes, finally after asking several times they found another room wth the possibility to open the window. Moreover, the smell in this room from bad sewerage system was terrible. It was a great relief to check out at last

Serivce and clean rooms

The hotel was convenient and comfortable.

Although I asked for a very quiet room (I am an extremely light sleeper) I was put on the front of the hotel overlooking the road. I therefore didn't get as much sleep as I had hoped for.

things were satisfactory until the mismanagement and lack of common sense in dealing with a technical temporary problem

our evening meal was severely delayed because the computer was out of action despite the availability of a chef, food to cook and drink.Your computer failure brought service to a halt because nobody thought of keeping running records of orders for later transfer to the computer

Warm comfortable room. Good toilet and shower. Nice to have decent cup of tea and internet access.

Bed comfortable initially however woke with very stiff back. Also insufficient pillows. Face cloths would have been nice.

Lady at checking in was fantastic. Friendly and very helpful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The meals were quite good with large portions and good service.

Wi-fi is free only for 30 min a day

Nice big bed, hotel felt very safe (important for a woman travelling alone). A bit pricey, but so much better than the tourist traps around Kings Cross so in the end it was worth the extra outlay.

Self check-in didn't work (my card was refused) and staff were a bit off at first, though they proved much more friendly and helpful later on. Had difficulty getting a table in the hotel restaurant (was told it was full) but when they finally speeded things up I discovered the place was almost empty. Shame about the noisy air-conditioning which couldn't be turned off.

Chaous when I checked in. It took a long while to check in. When I went to the room, there was someone else in that room already. The front desk didn't believe me and made me wait longer while they went to check. Finally got another room, literally a few moments later the fire alarm went off. Won't be staying there again. Too painful!

Rooms on the ground floor like dungeons with zero mobile reception. York way very expensive at £160/night. It is a premier inn after all

Price, canister with the soap in the bathroom didn't function so I had to pull it handly, paying immediately, could be more towels in the room...
