Firstly let me explain that I did not stay here but I sent one of my employees. This then created a problem when the said employee arrived without my credit card which I believed I had paid on. My employee was informed that my card details had been taken only to confirm my reservation and the card had not yet been charged. Also my employee was informed they could not charge the card without the card and cardholder present and that she would need to find an alternative way to pay for her two night stay which amounted to nearly £400 or she would be unable to stay in the hotel. My employee, a twenty year old female was very upset by this as she was on her own in london, had no way of paying for the room herself and no where else to stay. I spoke to the duty manager (Robyn) and asked if I was able to pay over the phone or send a cheque but this was to no sucess. I was informed that the only way my employee could stay with them was if I returned to my place of work (after hours) and sent premier inn a fax with my card details and written autorisation on letter headed paper from my business. Obviously this put both myself and my employee in a difficult position as I was nowhere near my business and she was alone in the centre of london at night. Eventually Robyn agreed to let my employee take an emergancy room for two hours whilst I sent the autorisation as she was crying and clearly distressed. However, the room was tired worn and had a ripped carpet, the location meant she could not recieve reception on her mobile phone which was a worry as we would have liked to be able to contact her. When she asked to leave the emergancy room she was told there were no other rooms available. I feel outraged that anyone could treat a young woman in this way and also that I was never properly informed of the correct payment methods.

The hotel was well situated, the check in computers were excellent. Having costa coffee close by was superb and the restaurant and breakfast on the morning were excellent also. The hotel was clean, friendly and as a first timer at a premier inn I was very pleasantly surprised bu many of the aspects. The bed was not comfortable at all. It said a double room, but this was 2 singles clipped together which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. The girl on the check in said there was a guaranteed refund if you didnt have a good nights sleep, however that did not materialise. I could not also open the window and would have liked to have had some air in the room and not air con as it was winter and the air con was unecessary. There was also a huge sofa bed type thing crammed under the windo so I couldnt look out and it also made access to the full length mirror very difficult Having a restless night made for a very difficult day the following day as we had a conference and did not leave London until 7.30pm. The comfort was something I expected given the conversation with the staff about its guarantee. But the bed was very uncomfortable, I could not open a window and there was far too much furniture in the room. I also wondered if there had been a fire and the window was the only way out, surely this is a H & S breach having no keys to unlock them??

We were staying in London for one night & then travelling on to Paris on the eorostar. On the night we stayed we went out with relatives who live in London. St Pancrass being the terminal for the Sheffield to London train & London to Paris train it seemed like the obvious choice. It was the first time we have used a Premier Inn and we were very impressed with eveythig about it.

The whole experience was excellent. The only problem we had was that our daughters beds had been made up without the mattresses. So they slept on the bases all night. When we went down to breakfast we mentioned it to Sami on reception who was more than obliging and gave us a full refund. Apart from that we could not fault anything. I have stayed in premier inns lots of times for work and leisure and it certainly has not put me off. The duty manager somny was also very helpful and accommodating.

Friendly, courteous staff Breakfast very good Dinners good Location good *Would only reccommend Premier Inn to overnight business travellers or budget conscious families. Bearing in mind that we are Canadian, and basing our comments on Canadian & American Hotels, we experienced substandard accommodations, as follows: tv & Chanel selection terrible Lighting in the room very poor Seating in the room non existent/very poor Very very small bath tub Soap dispensers in bathroom not appealing Minimum towels availability and substandard towel policy King size bed uncomfortable, especially so with the join down the middle. *All of the above substandard to Canadian/American Hotels in same price range.

London is an expensive city, but the Premier Inn near St. Pancras/Kings Cross offers good value for the money if you really need to stay in that area, as we did. The caveat is that it's a bare-bones, no-frills type of lodging: no fancy shower, the container for boiling water for coffee or tea is plastic (who can use that water, with tiny bits of plastic floating around, for tea?), and do NOT rely on them for a wake-up call (no clocks). Ours came 35 minutes late - good thing we were already awake! The minimal service and comforts.

Very comfortable room and helpful staff. The only "negative"aspect would be the fact that in the breakfast room the reception staff are often forced to carry out double roles, I.E. welcoming guests and checking their room number to ascertain whether breakfast is included in their hotel bill as well as accompaning them to the breakfast room to select a table. At peak hour this can be time consuming for those who have joined the long queue! Perhaps it would be better to leave the table choice to the waitresses assigned. Personally I found them very pleasant and helpful.

Good location if you are planning to use the tube to get all around the city, and especially the international train. Good enough places to eat, have a drink. And it is safe area. I was expecting much more. Nice, clean modern hotel, but the room was very ordinary. Room was uncomfortably hot, couldn't do anything about it. As a young couple, the bathtub was a disappointment. And why put the safe on floor and make me crouch all the way down? Zero wow factor and some minor annoyances means I wouldn't recommend to a friend. I wanted something to like and nothing stood out.

Traveling from Brussels to London by Eurostar that stops at St Pancras, I found the location of this hotel is just superb. It's basically just next to the station and is very convenient for me who travelled with big suitcase. The hotel is also just next to the King's Cross tube station making my city trips very easy. The room is very quiet although it is in the first floor and its window is facing the lobby. The room is also big with king-sized bed. 30-minute free wi-fi is given everyday.

We came to visit my friends son, so Kings Cross excellent for tube/bus service. Hotel reception staff very very pleasant and helpful. Restaurant staff friendly, and especially one of the trainee's Mia who was outstanding, and showed empathy when my friend was unwell and unable to eat breakfast on both occassions. Nora McClenaghan Premier Inn in London just a bit more expensive than their prices here in Northern Ireland.
