Firstly let me explain that I did not stay here but I sent one of my employees. This then created a problem when the said employee arrived without my credit card which I believed I had paid on. My employee was informed that my card details had been taken only to confirm my reservation and the card had not yet been charged. Also my employee was informed they could not charge the card without the card and cardholder present and that she would need to find an alternative way to pay for her two night stay which amounted to nearly £400 or she would be unable to stay in the hotel. My employee, a twenty year old female was very upset by this as she was on her own in london, had no way of paying for the room herself and no where else to stay. I spoke to the duty manager (Robyn) and asked if I was able to pay over the phone or send a cheque but this was to no sucess. I was informed that the only way my employee could stay with them was if I returned to my place of work (after hours) and sent premier inn a fax with my card details and written autorisation on letter headed paper from my business. Obviously this put both myself and my employee in a difficult position as I was nowhere near my business and she was alone in the centre of london at night. Eventually Robyn agreed to let my employee take an emergancy room for two hours whilst I sent the autorisation as she was crying and clearly distressed. However, the room was tired worn and had a ripped carpet, the location meant she could not recieve reception on her mobile phone which was a worry as we would have liked to be able to contact her. When she asked to leave the emergancy room she was told there were no other rooms available. I feel outraged that anyone could treat a young woman in this way and also that I was never properly informed of the correct payment methods.

Friendly staff, convenient location near Kings Cross Station. When we moved into our room in the late evening there was terrible cold, probably about 15°C. There was a heater in the room, so we turned it on as well as changed air conditioning into heating mode and it slightly improved the situation after one or two hours. But we had to have air-conditioning turned on all the time during night to have quite comfortable temperature and it made quite a big noise so we didn't sleep well at all. In the morning we complained at the reception desk about the temperature, they apologized us, but no one offered us a refundation althought there is a "good night's sleep guarantee".So I don't know how it works as we definitely didn't have good sleep.Overall we expected more comfort from a room we have paid 116 GB

The hotel was well situated, the check in computers were excellent. Having costa coffee close by was superb and the restaurant and breakfast on the morning were excellent also. The hotel was clean, friendly and as a first timer at a premier inn I was very pleasantly surprised bu many of the aspects. The bed was not comfortable at all. It said a double room, but this was 2 singles clipped together which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. The girl on the check in said there was a guaranteed refund if you didnt have a good nights sleep, however that did not materialise. I could not also open the window and would have liked to have had some air in the room and not air con as it was winter and the air con was unecessary. There was also a huge sofa bed type thing crammed under the windo so I couldnt look out and it also made access to the full length mirror very difficult Having a restless night made for a very difficult day the following day as we had a conference and did not leave London until 7.30pm. The comfort was something I expected given the conversation with the staff about its guarantee. But the bed was very uncomfortable, I could not open a window and there was far too much furniture in the room. I also wondered if there had been a fire and the window was the only way out, surely this is a H & S breach having no keys to unlock them??

The location is very convenient. The breakfast was very good: not too much to choose from (only a problem if you stay > 3 days) but quality wise, very nice. The staff is untrained, rude, and unwelcoming. Check-in and check-out are slow. For all basic services (like printing boarding pass, wi-fi, internet, anything really) you have to pay a lot. Anything not purely basic, just doesn't exist. The room is small and very outdated, in desperate need of refurbishment (however, it was kept fairly clean). The comfort (by that I mean a good night sleep) will vary with the room assigned: some are nice and quiet, some are noisy (I know that because I changed rooms). I've seen many bed and breakfasts nicer than this hotel and in it's own league (hotels with the same number of stars) it's the worse I've stayed in. The price / quality ratio is bad (this is a statement compared with other hotels in London).

The room and bathroom were clean and the location just down the street form the King's Cross station were the best qualities. Spartan room for the price. TV remote didn't work, no tissues or shampoo, no washcloths, minimal space to stack clothing let alone store it, noisy. To pay that price and have a room on the bottom floor next to the alley where the trucks are unloading something in the morning was unjustified.

Check in from 2pm - excellent Very fast check in very helpful staff clean, spacious room, comfy bed, good size bathroom negative was the safe issue - paid for when we checked in 1.30 hours later after 2 phone calls and 1 visit to reception still not activated so we had to go out for the evening with all our cash and passports etc in our handbags - not happy bout that! Breakfast great happy friendly staff. Premier is what it says on the can - would definitely use again think they've got the market just right Clean, friendly, great value for money, good breakfast, and friendly staff! We asked and paid for safe on check in went up to room 1 and half hours later after phone calls and visits to reception it still was not activated - we had to leave the hotel carrying all our money and passports etc round with us - not happy about that cos no-one seemed to be able to sort it.

Close to the Eurostar. Given a room when you are painting the hallway. Paint smell in room. Yes the desk did change us to a different room. Why would you paint at the start of holiday season?

Lovely staff, very welcoming and good location for North London Room was cold like the weather, the heater did not work in the morning. Good ingredients for breakfast but toaster facilities need expanding ( a lot of queueing) and more fresh fruit and better selection of buns would not go amiss. The queue to in to breakfast was slow. Not expensive.

Very Clean and the Staff was extemely helpfull and tended to all our needs very quickly. Breakfast was incredible compared to the normal hotel breakfast across Europe. althought the website said free internet, it was only 30 minutes and then you were required to pay. Even the computers in the lobby charged a fee to get online.

Very central to all rail links we required and to shopping areas. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The temperature in the rooms was oppressively high and did not lead to a comfortable environment. We did mention it to a member of staff but were told that it had been cold the previous week and the heating had been turned up. My thoughts would be that if it could be turned up for a cold spell it could be turned down for a mild spell. This is really the only problem we had with our stay. The room rate was a little expensive but I suppose for central London it was to be expected.

The staff during the breakfast service especially the chap who was cooking were exceptional The tv ads are lies - this hotel is overpriced by their own standards and gives a bad impression of London and the uk as a rip-off culture.

Excellent location! You get nothing more than a small room. For every additional service (internet, breakfast, late checkout, etc.) you have to pay extra charge.

Had to leave for the airport next day, really close to Piccadilly Line Kings Cross. Really nice looking hotel. Great food in Thyme restaurant at reasonable cost. Nice touch the diner and breakfast special deal. I found the room rate a bit pricey, but then I did book at last minute. The Premier Inn does have special room rates at times.I had to take a family room with sole occupancy as no single rooms left - but it turned out to be a double room with king sized bed. Nice.

Hotel was well located close to the international train station and kings cross. Plenty of transport options and taxis easily available. Breakfast had a good variety and well worth the price. Rooms were of good quality and quiet. self serve checking in system not user freindly when wanting same floor rooms. Wi fi and internet systems require payment. Would have expected free wi fi. Lighting in the rooms also poor.

“The staff were fantastic. We arrived at the hotel around 10am after travelling from Australia for 27 hours and they immediately arranged a room for us, so that we could check in early. Breakfast downstairs was fabulous and large variety buffet. Rooms were perfect with all facilities meeting our needs. Right around the corner form Earls Court train station and a great variety of eateries. Thanks Premier Inn for a wonderful stay.” Karla, Rowville |
