The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help
hotel spotless, rooms comfortable and well decorated, staff excellent - nothing too much trouble
BREAKFAST WAS FABULOUS
PARKING WAS VERY RESTRICTED AS HOTEL SITUATED IN TOWN
Excellent service from the lovely receptionist. The room was not made up as the twin we had booked so went back to reception and was immediately given another room that was perfect (and I am very fussy about the quality of my room...lol). The décor was stunning in all the parts of the hotel I saw. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in any hotel in the world!!! Top notch!!!!
There is very limited parking.... but what can you expect in the town centre. The recommended car park was not too far away but I still didn't feel too happy about leaving the car exposed like that (but all was well and it came to no harm). The service at breakfast was quite slow but it was well worth the wait because the quality of the food on offer was fabulous.
Location was central rooms were decorated to a high standard Bed was comfortable very nice atmosphere
Although we rang 3 days in advance our room wasnt ready on our arrival. As we were attending a wedding we had to take a smaller room or change in the toilets! Room hadnt been hoovered the carpet was a mess. The hotel had a smell to it like dampness not pleasant. No hairdryer Had to take 2 seperate lifts to our room. Take a lift to second floor walk to other side of hotel then another lift up to our floor. We were then placed in the back of the building which felt like we were in a cupboard. The noise from the main road kept us awake as the rooms were too hot to close the window. all-in-all we had no sleep!
Room was clean, bar good reasonably priced. Good location.
Musty smell on 3rd floor. One of the regulars said it had ben there a few weeks earlier. Didn't permeate in to the room too much.
Location was what we needed for an overnight stay before the great north run in Newcastle. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
Room was noisy due to catering staff below and into the early hours due to a party in the nearby function room. Cold shower in the evening but ok in morning. Musty smell in corridor and room. Breakfast basic and kept warm.

Ideal location. Didn't use any of the hotel facilities but they looked good.
Too warm in the hotel.
the centralisation of the hotel and the pleasantness of staff also the quality of food
the bath was in a bad state of repair - and the ceiling above the bath was damaged by water leakage and their was dirt in the bath. the toilet paper was of a poor quality (and very rough)
Parking area too small.
I would just like to say that my friend and myself had a great time and staff were so helpful, and very pleasant too... Breakfast was Fabby and the room was big and spacious . I will be back for another break very soon .
Location of hotel
Location of room To hot Noisy generator View not good
Room was spacious. Bathroom clean. Staff friendly. Good breakfast.
Location modern fit out and clean. Enthusiastic and friendly staff if poorly trained.
Awful pillows, no air con and stuffy room as you couldn't open a window due kids skateboarding into the late evening. An older building so lots of noise from other rooms. Poor level of restaurant food
The staff were very helpful with everything we requested, the location is really good for shops, restaurants and the dolphin centre which we used a lot having two small children would definitely stay again.
The room was very hot, but the hotel provided us with fans which helped a lot.
Clean, fresh well furnished rooms. Great location.
Very helpful, friendly and attentive staff, especially Lewis.
Comfort Friendly staff Pool Middle of town
Restricted parking around back A lot of traffic in town with limited parking
good value hotel nice décor bed ok but not fantastic. food in restaurant very good . staff excellent.
parking very poor
Great breakfast, nice bed and bedding.
Had to get into a second lift on the end of the hall to get up to level 3. Sound insulation could be a bit better.
Nothing to be liked in the hotel.
The service we got was so bad that we had to level for town and got back to the hotel late. At the breakfast table all what we ordered was totally different to what we were given. Rang the reception from our room to let them know we needed some more bath soap, all we got from the receptionist was "I will get some to you" and that was it nothing came to the room and also we checked out and forgot my boot went back to the hotel round about 19:20 and the lady at the reception wasn't helpful at all and the most annoying was the duty or shift manager was there watching and looking didn't even say a word to us. It's all down to our colour and it's the worst hotel have ever stayed in
The hotel was very clean, staff were attentive and pleasant. Although the room was not very spacious, it was very comfortable and peaceful, as we were to the back of the hotel. The food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. 12 o'clock check out allowed us to have a browse around town before we left on our homeward journey.
At the moment there are extensive roadworks on the main road which I believe are to be ongoing for about a year, and if it hadn't been for my phone app, we would have struggled to find the hotel as it is in the centre of a mainly one way system. Although the hotel has no control over this, maybe they could have signage in place to direct drivers to an alternative route.
