Overall,I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and warm, and the food provided by the hotel certainly deserves a 5*. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying at Darlington
Even though the Wi-fi was free, it was very slow majority of the times.
Gemma who was working in the bar had brilliant customer service skills, a very professional young lady.
Next to my room, 407 there seemed to a air duct or fan that made a humming noise, which was quite loud and made for a troubled sleep! On check out, no one bothered to ask how my stay was!
Great location, 10-min walk from the train station in the centre of town.
The restaurant food was fine/mediocre.
I like every thing, lovely food, great location, good value for money will definitely stay again
Pigeons can be abit noisy early in the morning if you have the window open, but not the hotels fault.
We went there on valentine's day, lovely restaurant, great food excelent service!
Noise.there was a constant noise above our room. Sounded it air conditioning unit - did report it but no real response from reception. Shame. Got used to it but difficult to get off to sleep.
Cold showers some mornings
There was a party going on in the room next door, lots of foul language too. My 12 year old daughter could not sleep. Tom, who was on duty, swiftly moved us to another room. He could not have been more heloful. He told the occupants of the room there had been a complaint. Tom delivered his message in a calm, quiet, non confrontational way. Great service.
Very good location. Reasonable sized rooms with excellent fittings, all spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and polite. Would definitely not look to stay anywhere else if I was in the area again.
Very small car car full & having to extra to park a fair distance from the hotel Radiator would not turn off in room 312
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was a gorgeous hotel in a lovely area and we will definitely be coming back.
It's location was very central, staff were very helpful and pleasant. Generally the hotel was a very good choice for us.
Nothing really, except the room could have been made up a little earlier. It was usually in the afternoons rather than by mid-day
The decor was all very new and we liked the Cocktail Bar. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The food was good and the beds were large and comfy.
The hotel was well situated and the staff were very helpful in finding us a restaurant on the Sunday evening.
The hotel was clean with excellent decor. We particularly liked the Cocktail bar. The bedrooms were clean and very comfortable.
Nothing worth mentioning
Great value Next to shops
Breakfast not worth £10 per person, plenty of decent cafes outside hotel
Stopped there for 1 night lovely quiet hotel friendly staff and a good breakfast
Wifi doesn't work oh well
The location was great
The carpark was a bit tight for larger vehicle's. .
Location was great. Very central for what we wanted.
As we arrived Sunday we were disappointed the restaurant was not open.
in the centre of darlington free undercover car parking. large clean rroms
central, clean all good
Rooms clean, tidy and warm Excellent location
Breakfast, dirty table, understaffed, waiter said he would come back to take an order. Never did. I left after half an hour with no cooked breakfast.
Was ideal that it was in the centre.first time we stayed there
The pillows were rock hard on bed not much parking bit of a a treck to room,
This hotel is lovely with excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. In the centre of Darlington is very easily reached from the Railway Station and near to Civic Theatre and Restaurants.
I found the room uncomfortably warm especially during the night. I couldn't open the window due to the noise from the traffic and also the gonging of the clock, so unfortunately didn't sleep at all well.
Great central hotel that is lovely and modern with nice comfy beds. Great value for money.
Wasn't keen on the layout or design of the wheelchair friendly room. - No mirror shelf in bathroom and Murrow too low down. Didn't like the distance from reception. Will still book again but will request closer to front of hotel and not with a wet room.
