Very helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, even when they appeared to be very busy. Gave directions and assistance in how to get about. Also made recommendations for eating out. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

The hotel was central to the town. Underground car park was excellent, considering position of the hotel. It was ideal for a shopping trip. As my husband was in Darlington Memorial Hospital it was good that the hotel was in easy walking distance. The staf were extremely helpful. Hope to return soon but not with husband in hospital! Hopefully acompanying me!

The staff were relaxed, friendly and helpful and really made the stay an enjoyable experience. The room was fine, clean and comfortable and the location was ideal - right in the centre of Darlington, close to local restaurants and town centre. It was super value for money. Personally, I would have paid a bit more to have a cooked breakfast. I have toast and cereal at home on a workday- want something more when I go away.

A very good position, very close to the city centre. Very old and with dirt carpet, cleaning of the room was bad.

It is in an excellent position for what we needed quite cosy and comfortable I think the room was nice and excellent for all amenities that you required but there was quite a few cob web's that needed getting rid of. Also a smoking room was requested and didn't get one.

Very helpful, friendly staff and good, secure parking. (basement of building, roller shutter door controlled by Reception) Breakfast/menu was simple, but well prepared. A cooked breakfast would be a great addition.

The Hotel is fine for a short stay. It does however, need a refurbishment as I don't think any improvements have been made since the early 1970'S.

Good location fior the purpose of our trip and delighted it had a secure car park. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Cleanliness of the room - bed clean but bathroom could have been a better standard. The room was cold, thankfully an extra blanket was available; decor was poor and dated. Very limited breakfast.

I considered the hotel excellent value and well ru. My onky small problem was the absence of any soapin the bedroom. I would certainly recommend the hotel and would visit again should I need to stay in Darlington. My only complaint is,as stated above, was the lack of soap

As an ex resident of Darlington, who used to regularly visit the bar and cocktail bar of the King's Hotel I was somewhat disappointed that the Hotel was undergoing renovations and the bar service was limited. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff could not be faulted and indeed vere very friendly and professional. The central location of the Hotel makes it the ideal accommodation for visitors and I highly recommend this Hotel if one wishes to stay overnight in the area of Darlington. No complaints. Staff - brilliant, location - fantastic
