good location of hotel close to stations and shops, restaurants reasonable price for stay
no lift installed in hotel basement level windows without views breakfast just adequate paying deposit for TV remote
The old Victorian style of the house!
The heater did not work upon arrival! The washroom was without a heater and the window couldn´t be closed correctly! The breakfast was very poor!
Good location and reasonably priced
Windows a bit drafty and a lot of street noise from outside
The price was excellent value for money. I read reviews on here and was very worried but now I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. You pay for what you get. This is a budget hotel but it's clean and does the job. If you want more pay more simply. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate and filled us all up
The room was below ground with no natural light but only one night so not concerned
The location is very good. Very clean.
We had the room in the top floor (4 double floor) with a very steep staircase... no offer of help. Very difficult to reach the room with luggage. Wifi only in common areas and very weak.
Great location and the room had all that we needed. Big enough for a family of three. Breakfast was basic but for the price you can't expect 4 star dining and suited us just fine. Staff were lovely.
Small double bed (3/4 size). Just something to be aware of and not really a bad thing.
Room was sooo dirty, not just room was dirty but wall, carpet everything... we felt very uncomfortable there. This hotel need reconstruction!!! from standart is this veeeeeeeeeery far away
Hotel is in a great location close to shops, restaurants, bars and tube stations. Room on the 1st floor was clean and tidy with very comfortable beds.
Staff not very polite didn't see the man on the desk smile once. Offered a room first in the basement which was very dark and had a very strange smell I declined to room would not have been happy if I had to stay there. Breakfast was poor only offered no-frills bread and fried pastries. Had to eat out for breakfast. Says on the website that the hotel overlooks Hyde park but it doesn't as it is of down a side street. My window view was someone's back yard.
Perfect location, beds were confortable we we in a room for 4 which was decent. The breakfast was very basic but nice. Very good to visit London with friends
The bathroom walls needed a good clean but the rest was OK.
Clean sheets Situated well for our visit Able to walk to Albert Hall within 30 mins through Hyde Park Near to tube station Staff helpfully and pleasant aririved before book in time but staff labelled our bags and looked after until we booked in at 2300. So check in is 24 hrs as advitised.
Bathroom area for number of beds Breakfast did not start till 8 and we had an early start
Great value especially for the London area, good location on a quiet street, many attractions within walking distance.Very helpful and friendly staff, clean comfortable room with all expected facilities provided. Although there are some uncomplimentary comments posted for this hotel I have to say we really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank the staff for making us feel welcome.
Breakfast, choice is very limited but it wasn't a problem as we decided to eat out locally. The hotel information does state buffet breakfast so we didn't expect a feast especially for the price we paid for our stay.
the staff was helpful and agreeable
Breakfast: cold milk, no chocolate at hand, no eggs & bacon
Narrow Single Beds
Easy to get 'halal' food
WiFi in Rooms. Lift is a must. Better Breakfast. Cleanliness not very good. Telephone boot always out of order.
The hotel receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Especially MARIA. The hotel has not to much to offer but they do what they can afford to help u. The renovated rooms was perfect need nothing more for the amount of payment . breakfast was fresh simple. (french breakfast ) bedsheets r clean and fresh.
The non renovated rooms needed a quick renovation for the bathroom need a bit attention. Bell capital to assist with the luggages. A must elevator should exsist.
We liked the location near the Hide Park and 5 minutes walk from the tube station. It was a Christmas trip and we were very much pleased by the proper heating at the room. It was warm and clean. The room was quiet, with a good working shower and hot water. There was a good teakettle, milk and instant coffee provided by the hotel in the room, which was very comfortable for us as soon as we travelled with a 5-year old kid and needed tea and other food staff to be at the room. The staff was always polite and welcoming.
Shower awful, continental breakfast is not toast and croissant! It is just toast and croissant! Charging to store bags for a couple of hours after checkout, when they r just stored in a corridor, with no security! Stay away from this hotel and pay a little extra, it's worth it!
Ideally located for tube and venue. Basic room, but clean.
Rooms not as expected so we had to be moved. Double beds should have been twins. 1 room was in basement, no outside window so we kept the curtains closed. The other room was in need of upgrade. The staff were unable to communicate and were unattentive. The toaster didn't work and you had to lean over the bread to get a cup and saucer. Small detail but could have been so much better. The price we paid reflected what we got but we have stayed in much better for the same price. Sadly, we wouldn't stay there again :(
friendly staff nice breakfast excellent location
room is a bit small
Nothing except the location which is very near to Bayswater and Queensway tube station.
Everything! First I've booked the room 2-3 months earlier. Arrived before 2pm to check in (I knew we couldn't but I just arrived early), put our bags (no storage whatsoever) just put it in the lobby, asked about our room, said everything is fine, it's on level 4. Went looking around London for a while, came back at 6-7pm to check in, they said there was a problem with our room and didn't even apologize at all. Just a very arrogant staff saying we got two separate rooms now on two different levels
The room was clean and beds very comfortable.
Not enough tea and coffee/mugs for the six of us staying! Couldn't get wifi in our room and the tv had no signal.
No stairs Not much choice of breakfast Having to pay £5 for the remote Cleaning could be better
The location, it's within walking distance of tube stations and right beside Hyde park. The staff are friendly too :)
The room was small and cramped for 3 people, 3 single beds all very close together, the tv couldn't be watched from the 3rd bed. You have to pay £5 deposit if you want the tv remote. Don't go to this hotel if you have mobility issues - no lift.
Nice and convenient location near Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, underground stations and Oxford Street, rooms clean and comfortable, coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Generally, I haven't expected that much for such a low price.
Small bathroom, limited choice of food for breakfast (but still, everything was fresh and tasty and cofee was great), additional fee for card payments.
