I liked the olde worlde charm of the Kings lodge. It gives a warm welcoming atmosphere, but small enough in size to be personal. Our room was well appointed. The hotel is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We would definately stay here again. The Kings lodge is within walking distance of both the bus and train stations, and close to city centre.

A very pleasant stay in a good standard hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Convenient for city sightseeing yet close to countryside. Finbarr's restaurant was excellent, really first class food and service in relaxing surroundings. The car park whilst perfectly adequate can be congested when the restaurant is busy- arriving to check in during mealtimes should be avoided.

Very convenient .Good breakfast. Excellent helpful reception staff. Breakfast staff didn't smile and as such this had an effect on the overall atmosphere- it would have made all the difference in us being made to feel welcome.

The location within walking distance of the cathedral. The bedroom was very cramped, only one comfortable chair and no drawers to unpack your clothes.

Location The fact that on an evening the hotel was not staffed by "Hotel Staff". Only a mobile telephone number to call if ant emergency was to arise. Could do with a Night Porter to oversee eventualities.. Bar and Restaurant is a seperate concern so staffed by own employees. Bar closed at 2300hrs and therefor as hotel guests unable to get drinks "after time" so to speak. Bar staff a bit grumpy. Could do with self service breakfast facility (for cooked breakfast)

Comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. Food tasty, good selection and not overpriced. Larger selection at breakfast including fish-possibly smoked haddock?

Room comfortable, facilities good. Easy car parking. Good breakfast. Nicely appointed dining room (Finbars) where we had breakfast, but had previous arrangements so did not eat there. Courteous staff. Quiet room during night, could hear buses after 6 am not very intrusive as our room was a distance from the neighbouring bus depot.

We went for our anniversary and found the hotel very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely meal in Finnbarr's and an excellent breakfast in the Hotel. We have been previously to this hotel and would definitely return and recommend it to friends and family. Good value for money and an excellent central location.

Room was comfortable and warm. Plentiful tea and coffee available. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were very helpful. Shower wasn't very warm on the first morning, but I suspect this was because a lot of people were showering at the same time. It was fine on the second morning when the hotel was quieter.

Good, clean and friendly with good facilities at a reasonable price. Woken up at 6.45am because of noise, whether from some kind of heating/cooler whatever I don't know but that was a shame and the only blot on the stay.
