Quiet, nice atmosphere, close to city centre, but far enough away to have quiet. |

It was good. The mirror in the bathroom was so high, I could only see the top hairs on my head! |

The hotel was ideal for our purposes, being a few minutes walk from our son's house. The room was adequate - overlooking the back kitchen area of the hotel, it was fairly noisy. The restaurant was excellent - a good menu selection and reasonably priced. Our only disappointment was the refusal to provide bread with our dinner as they only had enough left for other people still to come! Perhaps a more mature waitress would not have repeated that sentiment as it didn't go down too well! |

The hotel is pleasant and attractive, and in easy reach of the city centre. The staff are friendly, natural and helpful. The food is good and value for money. |

The location. Ideal for visiting the town or the local sites. Also the surly staff we read about in earlier reviews must have left because the staff we met, from cleaners to reception and bar staff were simply great. The breakfast wasn't great and the evening menu was very limited. |

Excellent, efficient friendly service from staff. No requirement was a problem, the management was extremely accomodating for my 20 friends and organised a delicious dinner in the private dining room within the hotel restaurant. The rooms were beautifully furnished in a traditional and comfortable style. |

The Hotel was quiet considering its proximity to the city centre. It was on a good site surrounded by lovely trees. The food was excellent and the staff most helpful. Our twin-beds were very comfortable with good bed linen and the bathroom a reasonable size - altogether good value for money I think plastic flower arrangements detract from the image of a good hotel. |

Staff were friendly, helpful and polite.Quiet atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were good. Sometimes service at breakfast was slow and the one evening meal we had in the restaurant was not particularly good |

The location of the hotel was good for walking into the city centre, the hotel has a lovely beer garden and is decorated and kept to a high standard The breakfast service on a morning seemed to be a bit of a shambles and you got the feeling that the quicker you werein and out the betternot a good atmosphere to eat |
