Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness    

Our room and breakfast was excellent. The piano and singer in the bar were a lovely surprise.

The pear and cheese tart in the Conservatory restaurant was tasteless as well as soggy. The duck was too well done but my fault for assuming it would come 'pink'.

Everything. Welcome was good, upgraded to an executive room on arrival. Room was everything I expected and more. Huge very comfortable bed. Breakfast surpassed expectation. Would stay again.

The relaxed atmosphere

The hotel was not worth the £200 price. The room was very basic and had a distinct dirty smell. There was barely any furnitire and the price did not match the service or expectations. There were building works going on at the hotel wheich we were not informed about at the time of booking.

We stayed in the new Spa building. The room was luxurious and spotless, facilities were great and the location was a short walk from the town centre. The welcome message piped in chocolate, together with a freshly baked chocolate muffin was a lovely little touch.

Breakfast was extremely poor standard. We had full breakfast but only the eggs were freshly cooked - everything else was obviously pre-cooked and kept heated. It was greasy and didn't taste good. Very disappointing. For this kind of money I would expect excellence and nothing less.

How friendly and helpfull the staff was. the rooms were immaculate.the food was excellent.how one of the staff found my partner purse in the room and handed it in at the desk.it was a great relief the purse was found.

I did not get the chance to thank the staff member for finding my partners purse.

Helpful staff

Poor breakfast!! The hot buffet was cold and hard - needs to be freshened up more frequently. Very disappointing.

The staff were brilliant nothing was a problem, very polite, friendly and welcoming. They came across very sincere and were never too obtrusive either. The facilities were of the highest standard.

Couldn't access Internet even though the fee had been paid for and passwords had been provided. This was not an issue as I was able to use my mobile but not ideal to do work.

Staff very friendly . Room excellent with a seated area outside the room overlooking the golf course. Breakfast was also excellent.

Cannot fault anything

The hotel foyer area was very attractive which gives a good first impression. The bar, retaurant and conservatory were all very comforable and well appointed areas.Staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.The food quality was excellent and table service professional even with a large group which can sometimes be difficult for less competent staff.

I am not keen on a separate charge for veg. With a meal. This is the cheap component and it is nice to have it as part of the meal and not an extra.

Huge and very comfy beds, excellent restaurant, very helpful and friendly staff.

Bedroom and bathroom too hot, even with radiators turned off. Being charged £20 per night for the upgrade when I had been told £10 - they neglected to say on the phone that it was £10 each, so I felt I had been mislead. Building work at the hotel not mentioned when we booked or checked in. This didnt affect me, but was right outside my business partner's room and was very noisey. He was told that the the building work would not continue at the weekend, yet he was woken up at 8am on Saturday by the work! Not impressed!

Everything was lovely

The Kingsmills spa was very comfortable and modern. The bedrooms lovely and very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and huge. The staff were very helpful.
