Staff is indifferent, almost rude, they barely speak English. They made us pay up front for all the stay but said it was not their problem when I said payment usually comes upon leaving. There was no cleaning during our stay (2 nights), towels were not replaced and they don't dry in the cold and moist bathroom, which is otherwise run-down and mildew-ridden. Grouts in the shower cabinet had been calked over to disguise mold but only up to eye level, now who does that?! Cleanliness is a major issue. Windows are cheap and drown off NONE of the street noise. There is no thermostat and heating can only be regulated on the radiator knob - provided heating is on which was not the case during our visit. The room was cold throughout and noisy both from the street and from the hall side, like there was no door at all. During our stay some remodeling of the restaurant was going on with two major side effects: works started early in the morning so we were woken by the hammering off old tiles as early as 7:30 AM. Plus, the breakfast gear in the restaurant including glasses, bowls and spoons were covered by sawdust each morning. BTW, breakfast is only between 7:30 and 9:30 which is kinda tight. It was apparently for a reason that this was the only place in the neighborhood with rooms available.

Location Location Location Clean comfortable bed, bedding and towels. It served my purpose fine. I have no real complaints, except constructive criticism in order to help the hotel and not intended for general consumption. I understand the high volume of use in a city throughout the year, meaning little opportunity to keep the building fabric in top condition, but some of the 'edges' and 'fabrics' are in need of repair and upgrading. There was a strange smell in the corridors and stairs. A cross between socks and kitchen?. Perhaps the kitchen ventilation needs looking at by a building surveyor. Maybe not enough negative pressure on the extraction fan?

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. The room was as we expected, with all the requirements met for our short stay. The staff helped with any further requirements we asked for in a dignified manner. Parking facilities are excellent and we felt the local amenities were plentyful including excellent access to public transport facilities. Only negative note was the fire doors made a lot of noise on the corridors.

Very little. The only good thing that we can say is that the bed was clean. The hotel is certainly not 4*. It was very dated, the staircase behind reception is very narrow with threadbare carpet in places. Our double room no.72) was right at the top of 3 flights of stairs - no lift. Room was very basic, old furniture and no towels supplied. I had to go back down to reception to ask for towels which had a smell off them.I Also asked for extra pillows but got none - only 1 on each side of bed. Walls between rooms thin and you could hear voices in neighbouring rooms. Bathroom was small with badly polyfilled surround to shower cubicle and back of washhand basin. Pedestal not properly connected either. Did not have breakfast due to general dissatisfaction - bad value for money at £64-00, only worth half that price, if even that !!! This is the first bad booking that we have made on booking.com.

Northing it was abismal,,,,,,,, I would never recommend this hotel its one of the filthiest hotels I have ever seen the pictures are misleading and the bedlinen never gets changed. The hotel is like a bombsite it smells of urine and it definatley is not 1 star let alone 3 star. I would never recommend this to my enemies let alone a human being..

We lived in a family room and the room was huge! Just perfect for us. The rooms were also clean and quite nice. The rooms were cleaned and we got new towels every day. The hotel was only a 5-10 minute walk from the tube and bus station. The staff was also very nice. If you were missing something in the room, you could just ask and you got it! It was not very good choice of breakfast, but the food was okay and simple. You got very much for the money here! The walls were very thin, so you could hear everything from the other rooms.

The only thing I can recommend about this hotel is its location: 5 mins from Golders Green tube, and just in front of the bus station. The room was very dirty, even after the daily cleaning service. It was very annoying to have to pay for the wifi. The towels the hotel provided me was also dirty with stains.

Location was perfect for my conference. Location also good for local restaurants and amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant and breakfast area very nice and modern. Fresh bedding and towels daily. Kettle with tea and coffee available and good power shower in en-suite. Room was basic but nice, warm and clean. No lift therefore had to carry heavy suitcase up stairs. Stair way to room was very foul smelling, carpets definitely need changed and place better cleaned. Rooms were clean but the en-suite still had a strange, not so pleasant smell. My room was situated above the restaurant therefore was wakened at about 5.30am with staff shouting and preparing for breakfast. My room was also next to a loud generator which constantly made noise therefore was difficult to sleep.

The Hotel was in a good location with a bus stop outside directly to Wembley Arena. The complimentary breakfast was adequate although the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant and a la carte menu were excellent and the prices were reasonable for the sizeable portions. The heating was in good working order. The corridors were quite narrow and there was no lift which made it difficult for a mobility impaired person to negotiate. There was only one waste basket for the suite, in the bathroom, and the outlet for the kettle was near the floor under the desk, which was difficult to reach. Although it was a family room booked for three people, on our first night, only enough towels for two people had been laid out.

The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. We had just had the coldest week of the year when we stayed but our room was so well heated that we had to sleep with the windows open. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent.

It is what it is. It's an old building that tries to be a new, purpose built Travel Lodge. It fails but is neverthless, clean, cheap and convenient.

Good value for money (kosher breakfast, rooms and facility gradually being refurbished). Car park convenient. Lots of hallway door slamming by inconsiderate guests at night. It may be good to install door stoppers which buffer 'impact.'
