It's like a hostel!!!! Never again.
i liked how quick the staff was to resolve problems and they were very friendly also the location was great and easy to get around London on public transport.
I was meant to have a double room which was meant to have a double bed but instead they gave me 3 single beds there is only one of me what am I meant to do with the other 2 beds also it wasn't clean very damp and there was a damp smell as well. Breakfast was just toast and orange juice should be a full English and didn't get any help with my bags and suitcases which they should have offered.
The entrance to the hotel was clean and check in was quick
Dirty small rooms with untidy finishes of silicon smeared all over bathroom. Freezing cold rooms, dirty sheets, dirty carpets and hallways are horrendous. Staff are nice, breakfast is unusual.
Value price - shame it was a dirty dump. Staff were as helpful as they could be in the situation.
cleanliness hotel in state of disrepair Bed was awful bedding ripped & unclean bathroom covered in mould windows not sealed and dripping with condensation Regardless of 'value' price - not clean, modern or remotley acceptable
Location Safe and friendly Comfortable room Nice breakfast
No bath in room
absolute rubbish, everything
nothing was ok apart from price
Underground is near, good transportation Some shops around open until 11pm Nice silent neighbourhood
There was no hot water on the first day High wifi rates Poor breakfast
This is a budget hotel so don't expect a big room! I think others are expecting too much for a room that costs £49 per night in London. I've stayed in two different rooms there. One was small and the other room & bathroom were both more than double the size of the first room (room 80 if you try asking for it). The rooms are clean and the bed is fine. The hallways looked like they could do with a hoover, which I did see a few hoovers left lying around in corridors. The staff are friendly and polite. The hotel has limited free parking and a restaurant. I never ate there but it is well presented and looked nice. There are plenty of restaurants within a 5 or 10 minute walk, as is the nearest tube station. The only drawback for me was the expensive WIFI. Overall: Cheap & convenient.
Nothing except location was near tube station
The room was dirty, and poorly decorated. It is too small to be considered a double with the bed crammed into the corner, the door had been rehung to open onto the corridor. The sink is cracked and the shower room not particularly clean. The room lacked electrical sockets and was equipped with a 4way extension lead, on the whole very very poor.
Breakfast was very good.
Room and building was very dirty, mould around windows and generally in a poor state.
Location was good 5mins walk to the tube
Bottom bed sheets only covered 3/4 of the mattress, quilt cover was to small for the bed, room to hot, shower was small and filled up with water, rooms need updating. There is parking but not that good got blocked in by van.
The only thing about the hotel that was good was the price - cheap.
Small, loud and at about 5am we had a man try and climb in our room as he somehow got onto the roof of the hotel!!!!!!!
Looked great on Booking website Reception and dining area about the only areas that were presentable. The corridors were narrow and smelly There was paint coming off the doors The room i was given was tiny The door to the shower would not open as bed was in the way walls paper thin People running the business were obviously doing very well tow big black Mercs outside. Come on stop ripping people off
The breakfast, the helpful staff, the location.
The bedrooms were very noisy. The first night we were unable to sleep. We could hear water going through the pipes all night, when other people used their wc's & showers. The following morning we changed rooms, no pipe noise but our window was facing a brick wall. The mattress was very uncomfortable and up to today i have lumbar pains.
Proximity to the venue of my meeting, Very nice breakfast.
The toilet location made using it difficult. The pillows were too thin, I shade to use the two pillows and the cushion to sleep. The shower tray was blocked and I had to bath standing in unclean water.
nice location, nice entrance, fair price
not clean enough, the white curtain at the window was not white, the vent in the bathroom sealing was obviously not cleaned since long time, the floor had holes, luckly they were covered by the thick carpet. The staff never said at least "hello".Maybe this means polite in London....
Everything else! Rude staff, lots of banging & noise, dirty bedclothes. Damp musty smell!!! Soo expensive for what it was!!! Pictures on net of rooms highly deceiving!!! Would NEVER recommend to stay here!!!!
The place smelt bad, the carpet was dirty, the paint was flaking of the doors. The bed didnt have a head board. You could feel the bed frame through the matress. The bathroom was too small to even turn around in. So bad, i complained and even though i had been in the hotel for 5mins, i only got half my money back. Dissappointed. Would not recommend. Never again. I went around the corner to best western and was much happier.
MY FIRST ROOM WAS A LOWLY room, tiny, smelled of mildew. My next room, for 10 pounds more, was so much better. Lofty and large. although far from central London, I loved this neighborhood. Every kind of food, the tube nearby.
The first room, clearly.
The quietness of the environment
Unavailability of 24hrs restaurant within!
The bathroom suite was very nice and almost as big as the room itself, but much nicer. The breakfast was ok. The night clerk was very helpful and did what he could. Can't say that about the young lady in reception in the morning.
Where should I start? The Bedroom was very small. I think that jail cells are bigger than the room that I was given at this hotel. There was no place for luggage, there was neither a nighttable nor nightlamp in the room. There was no shelf or place to put your clothes. There was no remote for the TV, and none was found despite the night clerk searching the hotel for one. When I arrived (11PM) there were no towels in the bath and I had to go down and ask for them. The clerk showed up with them a half hour later. The bed was very low, poor and bumby, an old spring mattress that had long lost any signs of springiness. I am 180 cm tall and just fitted in the bed. The actual look of the room and the hotel is far different from what is shown on the booking site. There was no place to put your clothes.I would not reccommend this place to my worst enemy.
Unlimited free parking - very good. Buffet breakfast - acceptable. Not far to tube.
Miserably unhelpful night receptionist. Hopeless tap in the bathroom. Too few pillows.
For the price its the place is more than acceptable. Comfy bed and modern bathroom. Large TV in room and a modern looking restaurant. Reception staff were pleasent and helpful. Toasted Bagels for breakfast and good coffee.
The room needed a coat of paint - ceiling water damaged. Carpet stained and grout / silicone needs replacing windows and curtains need a clean - corriders are shabby poorly decorated and thread bare carpet. This is a Large rabbit warren of a hotel and work was in progress in the foyer. Tuna and egg mayonaise with salad for breakfast was unusual. I can't imagine it closing for a week - but if it could a dozen decorators and handymen could blitz the decorating - replace carpets and touch up where needed it would meke a massibve difference
quality of sleeping facilities, breakfast menu, helpfulness of staff.
premises under reconstruction - unable to entertain family we were visiting in the area as no bar facility available.
There were no towels in the room. This wasn't mention on the website and none were offered at check in. I had to ask for one back down at reception. The towel used to be white but was now grey and old. There has been a poor attempt at refurbishment at some stage and the photos don't reflect the standard of the room. Maybe once a three star, this hotel is more like a two star at best.
