The location was good, only 10 min walk from buses and tube. A lot of shops and restaurants around.
The hotel was very basic. Rooms were not very clean. A lot of noise and shouting during the night. At arrival I asked for a taxi to be booked later in the evening and I was simply told to go to my room and come back later when the person at reception might have more time to look into my request. If only looking for a place to crash for the night it's ok but I would not recommend this hotel as good!
The central location and good parking facilities outside hotelun
Unfriendly staff, no BBC on television, only one pillow each on bed, had to put kettle on the floor to reach the plug, decor and paintwork needs attention!!
Some of staff, breakfast( could be better though), location.
Some of staff(not welcoming at all), dirty towels, too short pillow cases for pillows(which were extremely dirty), only 2 hangers, the bathroom(too small, broken shower), noise of banging doors in the corridor late at night. Not value for money at all.
Family atmosphere, nice breakfast
Staff were pleasant but we felt not in our nature to complain.
Room smelt of smoke. Kettle lead did'nt reach so had to move cupboard. Table lamp not near a plug so unable to use.
The hotel was shabby and run down.
Unclean, smells, poor rooms, awful beds and covers dont even fit them, the bathroom was horrible, cant even stand up in the shower...basically have to sit down (it also took about 15 minutes to get hot water), noisy, even the corridors are awful, basically a hostel. Im really not eveb fussy about a hotel for one night but just avoid it!
The location is good with excellent transport links to the city centre.
Just returned from a weekend stoping at the king Solomon. I have been to many different budget hotels around the world but this one was by far the worst. I have seen a few reviews saying what do you want for £60per night, I expect something better than the dump that is the Solomon that's for sure! Firstly upon arrival you are greeted by by the shoddy and aged exterior of the hotel and the reception that looks like the builders gave up half way through. Secondly the corridors of the hotel are as shoddy as the outside and the doors with the security lock on were open all our stay which was worrying as anyone could wonder in/out as they pleased, also the stairs up to our room smelt of sewerage. Then last but not least was the room, it was very basic and poorly designed, things like the bathroom cabinet above the sink came out further than the sink! Also there was no lamps so if you didn't want to sit in the dark you had to use the bright led ceiling lights! The safe didn't work and there was holes in the walls! ... A truly horrible place for human beings to stop at!
Free parking, friendly staff, warm room
Wi fi was expensive at £9 per day, corridors looked shabby with paint chipping off. Mattress not comfortable.
liked that it was close to the underground station and quiet at night
light from street can enter the room
Radiator was on constant and kept our room lovely and warm all night. Defo go back.
Convenient location for me, and free parking was available.
The first room I stayed in smelt like a sewer, and the room was grubby and dark, nothing like the photos online. The next day I was moved into a smaller but nicer room. The showers were bad, the first night the water ran out mid-shower! The second night, there was enough water but it was freezing cold. the TV didn't work, and the staff were miserable, although helpful when asked.
The luxury room with ample space.
Simple check in with 24 hour reception. Room was reasonable size and quiet from outside road. For the price was overall very good value for money.
Room 7 was right next to stairwell which was a little noisy through the night. Shower was warm not hot.
if you come to see London and not use the hotel for more than sleep, shower and a light breakfast it is the best deal in town good location solid breakfast clean enough we came ready for much worse for this price
noise and light gets in the room from the street
there was nothing to like.
It was unclean and the beds had not been changed. They had no record of my booking. The where unhelpful and the hotel was dirty. would like to have a refund but could not fine anyone.
Breakfast poor Carpets dirty Drain smell in bathroom Mould on bath sealant Broken tiles in bathroom Broken chair Bed uncomfortable Road noise Corridor noise Lack of plug sockets
only location is good
Room is smelly and Bed is so small, not very clean
Breakfast was the best part
First room had dodgy sparking power points and leaking shower skylight that was mouldy. The room stank so bad I had to be moved. Fair game they moved me, but next room stank of cigarettes from outside smokers and the noise from other guests meant no sleep for three nights.
Budget hotel so the rooms are small. Cheap Parking Friendly staff. Plenty of restaurants in local area.
The location was good
The hotel is run down. The bathroom was mouldy and smelt . The room was in need of decoration
The location was ok.
The heating was over powering! Breakfast very basic, seriously needs an upgrade and decorating job!!!
Location, price, stayed there before with no problems, good value then
Rooms smelt of drains, leaking gutters pouring water onto the metal stairs could not sleep, moved to another room, corridoors stunk of dope and parties going on in room next to us, walked out at 2.30 am
