Restaurant and bar area very nice and cosy. Food excellent. Room nice.

Very noisy at night. Doors banging, keys rattling. Rooms not very sound proofed. Could hear toilets flushing, tvs and talking.

    welcoming staff.

overcharged in restaurant without an apology when this was questioned on settling the hotel bill following morning. Area a bit rough and lack of onsite parking with worry of need to move car from local pay and display car park by 8am not needed when on a break away.

We chose this hotel as it was different to all of the big chain hotels we could of stayed in around this area . The room was nicely decorated in a boutique style.

As it was a hot evening we had the windows slightly open but being on the main road the recycling lorries were very noisy at 6:00 am so maybe next we would ask for a room at the back but this isn't the hotels fault and wasn't a major issue . The bathroom did have a slight sewage smell which was a bit off putting when we opened the bathroom door for the first time

The staff were great, extremely friendly

The room we had was very basic and for the price I paid for 5 days, I expected more. There is no AC in this hotel and no in room facilities, like a fridge for example! The noise in the hotel is extreme, you will hear everything through the wall so don't expect a quiet stay!

big comfortable room, and hotel was within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants.

The boy racers of Maidstone used King Street as a race track until 5am. It only happened on the Saturday evening so be prepared if you are booking a weekend. We only got one key for the room.

    IT WAS GOOD

WE DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT THAT WE WERE TOLD WHERE WE COULD PARK BUT WASN'T TOLD HOW TO GET OUT OF THE CAR PARK/SHOPPING CENTRE. BEING NEW TO THE AREA WE HAD NO IDEA WHERE WE WERE.

Location is very good, a very short walk to the city centre. Bed was very comfortable. Sadly we arrived too late to dine in the restaurant but it looked very good and has impressive reviews. The staff were very friendly on the phone.

The hotel is only staffed until 6pm, which is also when the restaurant closes (or at least it did on a Sunday). We didn't see any member of staff or event a single guest since we arrived after 6pm and had to leave early in the morning. It wasn't a problem, but just quite unusual. The staff were very friendly on the phone.

The rooms were a good size and staff really helpful. Really liked the style of the decor of the hotel

The rooms could be cleaner and the toilet system is very delicate and could do with some work. Just minor finishing touches like these would take it from being good to excellent.

the staff were very friendly and helpful. the hotel retained original features with the modern perks. would be happy to return.

paying extra for breakfast, I think its a psychological thing!

We were very pleased about our stay. Upon arrival, it became clear that we had made a reservation for a wrong date. However, the staff was very helpful and provided us with a free upgrade since our room type was no longer available. The room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel is really well situated: right in the city center. The restaurant was very good too. A fine cuisine and a nice atmosphere. I would suggest this hotel to everyone visiting Maidstone!

The room didn't have a minibar.

The emergency lights came on the middle of the night. I pointed this out in the morning, Later in the day I ha a phone call telling me that my room fee had been refunded, great gesture. During my short stay the service was excellent

    The restaurant was great.

They are doing the best that they can with this hotel but the location is on a busy street which makes it tough. I had to switch rooms from the one I booked (which was nice but on the busy street) to the one at the back (which overlooks a parking lot).

Free upgrade to superior room which was large & comfortable although a bit hot and with some noise from the street. Nice breakfast

Decoration was looking a bit tired in places. Lock on bathroom door (room 3) ineffective
