Staff were so personable. Rooms were lovely x food was out of this world
Friendly staff close to town nice accommodation good breakfast
Parking is a bit awkward
Restaurant menu and presentation excellent. Staff very helpful, cheerful and well turned out. If we visited the area again would happily stay in hotel .
Hotel position but can't be helped, nor lack of parking. Quite good arrangement with the local store car park. Suggest "Hi Guys" to pensioners is a bit inappropriate but person was very helpful and well mannered.
location and quaint rooms
whole place smelt of chip fat, we were sick all night as the stench in our room was so intense. Safety didn't appear great someone booting door in middle of the night, someone roaming around courtyard shouting middle of the night then someone creeping around outside my room... no sleep and no apology...I did not pay for my room was offered £10 discount ...joke!!
Liked the clean spacious airy room x
Was woken by someone emptying the bottles in to the bottle bin right outside the window
This hotel is ideal for us when visiting Maidstone. It is personable, friendly and well kept. It has a central location and the room has most of the facilities we want, including wifi. The cooked breakfast was very fresh, high quality and cooked to order. We will stay at the Townhouse again and I don't think anything speaks better than that.
No shaver socket
Noisy - could not get to sleep due to the proximity of the room to the reception/bar area which also woke me in the morning. This is the second time I have staed her and was happy with the first visit. I will give it a third go. Breakfast was good but service poor with no milk, butter or sugar available. The tables were poorly prepared.
we liked the location, very convenient.
Room was very Hot and quite noisy near the road.
The Staff went out of their way to make our stay welcoming and the food was great to.
No Carparking and Had to move my car twice and I got a parking ticket, Thank you Maidstone Council for the welcome!!
We stayed one night in the hotel, the room was quiet and comfortable and smelled nice, the staff was friendly and helpful
Wifi didn't work at all, connected but nothing worked. The carpet in the corridors was really dirty it definitely needs changing
Lovely room with bay window and sunny morning aspect. Easy walk to town centre.
Rooms. Good and Staff. Cosy atmosphere. Great for lone travellers.
Limited free parking meant that I ended up in a public car park further down the street. I got a £50 parking ticket as the machine wouldn't take my coins! Limited spaces wasn't mentioned on the hotel website.
Breakfast, room, staff, décor and location all good.
No parking(parked at shopping mall, £8 overnight), poor wifi (slow/not working properly when I tried).
Dinner menu fantastic, food wonderfully presented - art on a plate. Good quality fluffy towels. Friendly staff.
Smell of cooking oil/fat in bar area in middle of afternoon. No shelving in bathroom Lack of privacy glass in bedroom windows. Lead for kettle tool short to reach wall socket. Wifi not working initially. Continental style breakfast horrible - no cold meat or cheese and no bread rolls just ghastly sweet pastries and soggy toast.
Small but pleasant room. Nice toiletries. Great cocktails in friendly bar. Good meal in restaurant in a relaxing atmosphere.
View over sainsburys car park and a full rubbish skip. Decor (carpets in hallways) needs a bit if renewing.
Comfy bed, nice shower, polite staff
The staff were lovely and friendly, and very helpful. The location is superb, just a couple of minutes from the town centre and 5-6 minutes walk from both Maidstone East and West stations.
The rooms are tiny and hot - even with the window open it was hot and stuffy
The added entertainment of a totally over the top middleish aged hen party!
nice little hotel with delightful staff and great on site restaurant
the hotel inspector would have field day, someone needs to go around with fresh eyes and correct a lot of little things, not that impact the visitor particularly but just to display a certain attention to detail that is lacking. like the safe in the room is still in its grubby cardboard packaging. not really inviting me to use it is it? everything about a hotel should be inviting.
i travel a lot with work and this was the best room i have had in an hotel. The dinner i had in the restaurant was michelin star star standard. The staff were attentive without being overly attentive.
Car parking is offsite at £5 a night
The hotel has been refurbished since I was here 2 years ago and is much improved. I stayed in one of the new rooms at the back - pretty much standard. Breakfast was well worth the extra £10.
There was quite a bright light on the smoke alarm and a couple of spotlights came on for a short time in the early morning.
Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Location and overall impression was ok. Decoration of dining room was lovely.
Double bed room and bathroom was very small. Lamps didn't work. Breakfast was good, however had to wait too long until order was taken and until we were served.
