Very comfortable, well appointed room. The porters and concierge were very helpful, thank you.

We found that the reception staff were not very welcoming on arrival. Some customer service instruction might help. The main door to the minibar and tea and coffee service wouldn't shut properly and the light kept going on and off intermittently.

Clean and well kept hotel with an absolutely unbeatable location at this price and standard. Easy access to Covent Garden (four minute walk) and the West End (ten). Tons of bars and restaurants nearby; or grocery stores if you're staying in. I've stayed a few times; quality is consistently very good and staff always friendly. I always wonder what the catch is.

Cimate control is pretty basic and may surprise some americans with its primitiveness. Not a huge problem in practice unless in heat of the summer. WiFi is pretty expensive at £15 per device connecting (fairly prohibitive for a family).

The location of the hotel is amazing. It's only a walk in distance from British Museum and Oxford Street. Holborn Station is only few minutes walk from the Hotel and easily connect you to other stations

Spacious room, good location

Wi-fi not free. I don't stay in the room a lot and it bugs me to pay for expensive wi-fi that I hardly use.

Room size was decent, and bathroom, although only 3 fixtures, was well appointed. Doormen/porters were very polite and efficient with left luggage.Effective heating/cooling system control in the guest room.

Lack of truth in marketing. A standard double room was listed as one price, a "deluxe" double room with a higher price. I went for the de luxe, and was given a room that looked on to a blank wall and offices ten meters away, and to the left the wall of the hotel back wall (the building is a T shaped), hardly a deluxe situation. Room energy system is deactivated when key card is removed immediately instead of timed to de-activate power some 30 seconds later, sensors in mini bar also activated on immediate removal of items, not after a pause, causing charged to apply immediately. Lighting poor for reading purposes at easy chairs. Windows were locked shut, although could be operable with governon, and hence no chance of fresh air into the room, a missed opportunity. The interiors all round are tired and a substantial interiors refurbishment plan is required to maintain an edge in such a good location.

A bit draughty in the bar and in the seats by the glass wall in the restaurant. Wi-fi should be free.

Very distressing situation with i-net. Even cheaper hotels have free access. Very bad situation with breakfast. I tried to order it when booking the room but was refused and as a result had to pay almost twice the price as if I was smb "from the street" and not a person spending several nights in the hotel. My previous visits the situation with it was better.
