The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tv in our room was a nice size and The room it's self was very comfortable The breakfast was very good and served with very polite and helpful staff.
On first impressions the carpet in our room was in need of a clean as their were some stains on verious areas. The bathroom became very hot after a short period possibly due to it being so small. Some of the lights on the stairs and landing areas were flikering and in need of replacement.
Close to everything in London. Only five minutes to tube and buses. Several restaurants and mini markets in the same area. Staff was very helpful
No elevator in the hotel. If you get a room in 4th floor, you might struggle with your heavy luggage.
Location was good and breakfast was reasonable.
Room very small, carpet stained, bathroom was tiny and room very hot.
Disorganised chaos and booking system, did not get rooms we had booked. Unclean including bedding! No lift and steep stairs with spirals, bathroom facilities, no shower head! There was no positive comment for this hotel and spoilt our holiday :(
Can get hot in the summer without a/c.
One member of staff very helpful Good access to paddington station Good access to buses and Hyde Park
No fresh milk Sheets didn't fit bed Information folder very dirty Very noisy from 6 am Cheap bread No marmalade for breakfast
Good location, near transport links.
Bathroom was very small.
Comfortable bed. Close to Underground. Adequate food choice for breakfast. Reception staff helpful and efficient.
Limited choice of TV channels. Flickering passage lights - could cause seizure if guest epileptic. Noisy talking at night from somewhere close - could have been hotel staff. Disinterested attitude of dining room staff.
Location was excellent - just a couple tube stops away from many of London's main attractions. Staff were pleasant and helpful (the free bottle of bubbly was much appreciated!) The mini fridge in the room was very handy. Beds were comfortable, room was a decent size for a triple. While the decor was a bit dated, it was decent value for money. All in all, a good place to stay for our city break to London.
Breakfast could have been better.
Good price for good location!. The family room IS very small and so is the bathroom/showerroom, but it is just a place to sleep at night after all...Friendly manager(but dont go for everything extra he wants to sell, like bustrips or other tickets...). Overall I still think this is good location for the money..since we new about the stairs, and we are speeking London and England after all,(they didnt have lifts when the building was buid! :-), so no problems!.Very friendly manager(but dont belive everything he sells)
Have to be aware of the stairs, no lift, very small room and bathroom(like beeing in a boat...) (this was the familyroom on 5th floor) Dont buy tickets through the hotel...you get much better deal outside the hotel...
Location good for Hyde Park and close to Paddington Tube. I also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine, along with a note, that was left in my room...for no apparent reason!
My room was a the top and involved a LOT of stairs (no lift). Also, a lack of desire to respond to questions prior to visit via e-mail. Not enough tables in breakfast area - had to queue.
Great location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Will definitely stay again.
Only downfall was not having a lift.
Good location with easy access to underground.
Small bedroom and tiny bathroom and no lift.
The room IT is not a hotel it is a bed and breakfast the bathroom ,was to small, the hair dryer was broken.
Location, room size, helpful staff
Had to request remote for TV ? Drain smell and stench in bathroom, quickly fixed though Breakfast was pre cooked but not too bad Bottle of wine given to compensate for our troubles which was appreciated
The staff attempted to be helpful and were able to find a better room for my second night.
The presentation of the hotel on the website is far from the basement room, hallways stacked with laundry, dirty carpets that I experienced my first night. The room was so small I could not open my suitcase on the floor and still walk from the bed to the toilet. The second night, on the 3rd floor, had an adequate sized room. However, the bed was broken, the carpet is warn and dirty and the TV did not work. Also, I had to ask the desk to fix my room key-card. I heard another guest having the same problem.
Staff very helpful. Room we had for a 5 night stay was extremely small, so a kind staff member changed us into a more comfortable room with little trouble. The hotel also allowed us to leave a lot of excess luggage there for 2weeks. We stayed twice.
Breakfast just adequate, no fruit, little choice of cereals, condiments. TV reception very poor in our room.
Convenient and comes with breakfast
Didn't like staying in basement Small room for family of four No view at all
Staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. Booked for a single room for 3 nights, and was told I was upgraded to a bigger room (twin room) free of charge! However, like others stated this was in the Admiral Hotel two buildings down, rather than the Kingsway Park hotel. Which did not bother me that much! Room was tidied everyday; beds made, bins emptied. The price was brilliant! Very cheap with a good location - only a 15 minute bus ride or tube ride away from Westminster! Nice en suite modern shower and toilet!
If I am being strict then yes the signal on the TV is not perfect. But I was out for the majority of my visit so this did not really matter much to me. The breakfast room is on the small side and was usually full up as soon as it was open (7.30 am). So it was difficult for me to eat breakfast before I had to be in the center of London for 9.
its closeness to oxford street and tube.
not the room that was advertised and not clean at all would never stay again.
No lift which is difficult when you have heavy suitcases and no help to drag them up to the room, the toilets didn't work properly, the shower in room 209 does not drain properly, no face washers and TV in room 307 didn't work and when we rang reception there was no answer, we ended up calling the direct line and got an answer immediately.....hmmmm. The bread for breakfast was also mouldy. Will not stay again nor recommend to anyone.
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, we would stay here again any time
The location was good in close proximity to the tube, and some local shops and facilities. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, and even gave me a bottle of red wine when I asked for a glass to pour the wine into that I had just bought. I couldn't carry the wine home, so I had to leave it.
A combined shower and toilet is NOT my idea of heaven; consequently I did not shower during my stay. The room spec promised a large plasma TV - it was small and suffered from a poor aerial signal which caused the picture and sound to constantly break up. There was also a mini fridge promised, but that was not there. The bed squeaked to the extent that I woke up when I turned over, and the room was frighteningly small, although clean.
great breakfast . staff very helpful
Location was good
Room key wouldn't work, hair in the bath no inside lock on door which wouldn't be an issue if room key worked , tv wouldn't turn on , bathroom door got stuck , loose cables everywhere rickety bed and out of date furniture. Not good value for money would not stay again
