staff were all very helpful room although on the small side for 4 of us was clean and functional breakfast was good location great Good value for money would stay again
bathroom door didnt lock but not a problem
Shower broken. hair dryer not working properly. the bed has springs sticking up so had to put a blanket on the bed under the sheet. heavy suitcase carried up 5 flights of steep stairs. however the next day reception very helpful and friendly. breakfast good. value for money and great location if you dont mind roughing it
The location is great and the staff is very helpful on reception and accountants especially. They considered prompt the moving us to other room.
The furniture was older and the bed was very uncomortable for sleep, sheets, pillows and towels was very old
Upgraded from a quad room to two doubles. Received gifts from the staff (wine/chocolate). Close to the tube. Excellent breakfast included! Comfortable bed and nice tv. Friendly staff.
Rooms need upgraded comforter and shower curtain.
A location is really excellent, Westminster square, just a 15 minuts walking to Guiden Park, 3 minutes -- to Tube Station Paddington, beautiful building, beautiful street. It was so nice after far travel in the everning to find in the room the teaport, tear, koffee and sugar! I was very thankful to Hotelholder for such kindness. I 'd like to remind about very good typical english breakfast
There is no possibility to print out 1 page of document. I had to go for lookking for an internet-cafe. It was first such fall in whole my experince in different contries , towns, where I visited...
Helpful and friendly people.
Not really clean
Don't expect loads of room in your bedroom, very compact but if you are only using it as a base and sleeping I suppose it's ok. We actually stayed in the 'Admaral hotel' 2 doors down. Checked in at the kingsway but were sent to this one to sleep. Not a good sign when the are advertising for staff 'urgently'. And we could see why. Breakfast is from 07.30 to 09.30. Went for breakfast on second day at about 09.10 and it was chaos. No forks, ran out of sausages and white bread, and people who came in after us got our food!! The staff work hard but it seem they are doing everything, serving, washing up etc. got there before the rush next day, but still had to wait a good while for good and 3 of us finished ours before my wife even had hers!! If you don't want frills and want location I suppose it's ok for the money, but would go room only if I had the option next time as there are plenty of cafés within a stones throw who offer good deals on breakfast.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tv in our room was a nice size and The room it's self was very comfortable The breakfast was very good and served with very polite and helpful staff.
On first impressions the carpet in our room was in need of a clean as their were some stains on verious areas. The bathroom became very hot after a short period possibly due to it being so small. Some of the lights on the stairs and landing areas were flikering and in need of replacement.
breakfast in first hotel balmoral l was ok rooom in hotel admiral was good
sleep in diverent hotels then booked 1st hotel bamoral room very small 2nd hotel Admiral breakfast disaster
Close to everything in London. Only five minutes to tube and buses. Several restaurants and mini markets in the same area. Staff was very helpful
No elevator in the hotel. If you get a room in 4th floor, you might struggle with your heavy luggage.
Not having parking on site no tea and coffee making or fridge in room although all were advertised in booking info. room or parking available although requested 6 months previous to booking . Parking was quarter mile away and was £10 dearer than quoted. On finally managing to book in were told room was reallocated and sent to sister hotel across road where we had to pay £2 50 per cup for a weak tea bag and jug of hot water. Breakfast was dried bacon cooked and heated in microwave. Good for new soles in shoes not for eating. Ask for ketchup told we don't have ketchup here. Cold tinned tomatoes. No baggage leaving opportunity had to leave bags in car for the day. Daytime check-in person was rude and very abrupt. The night attendant was helpful in the circumstances as we were then tired and weary and then had to walk another 500 yards to the other hotel (even though directly opposite). Then we were hit with £2 50 per cup of tea. Formal complaint by letter and email received no responses from management clearly showing they have no respect or care for customers but with such a good location they will probably continue to be fully booked. I have previously stayed in better in the same street.
Location was good and breakfast was reasonable.
Room very small, carpet stained, bathroom was tiny and room very hot.
Disorganised chaos and booking system, did not get rooms we had booked. Unclean including bedding! No lift and steep stairs with spirals, bathroom facilities, no shower head! There was no positive comment for this hotel and spoilt our holiday :(
Can get hot in the summer without a/c.
One member of staff very helpful Good access to paddington station Good access to buses and Hyde Park
No fresh milk Sheets didn't fit bed Information folder very dirty Very noisy from 6 am Cheap bread No marmalade for breakfast
Good location, near transport links.
Bathroom was very small.
Comfortable bed. Close to Underground. Adequate food choice for breakfast. Reception staff helpful and efficient.
Limited choice of TV channels. Flickering passage lights - could cause seizure if guest epileptic. Noisy talking at night from somewhere close - could have been hotel staff. Disinterested attitude of dining room staff.
Location was excellent - just a couple tube stops away from many of London's main attractions. Staff were pleasant and helpful (the free bottle of bubbly was much appreciated!) The mini fridge in the room was very handy. Beds were comfortable, room was a decent size for a triple. While the decor was a bit dated, it was decent value for money. All in all, a good place to stay for our city break to London.
Breakfast could have been better.
Good price for good location!. The family room IS very small and so is the bathroom/showerroom, but it is just a place to sleep at night after all...Friendly manager(but dont go for everything extra he wants to sell, like bustrips or other tickets...). Overall I still think this is good location for the money..since we new about the stairs, and we are speeking London and England after all,(they didnt have lifts when the building was buid! :-), so no problems!.Very friendly manager(but dont belive everything he sells)
Have to be aware of the stairs, no lift, very small room and bathroom(like beeing in a boat...) (this was the familyroom on 5th floor) Dont buy tickets through the hotel...you get much better deal outside the hotel...
Location good for Hyde Park and close to Paddington Tube. I also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine, along with a note, that was left in my room...for no apparent reason!
My room was a the top and involved a LOT of stairs (no lift). Also, a lack of desire to respond to questions prior to visit via e-mail. Not enough tables in breakfast area - had to queue.
Great location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Will definitely stay again.
Only downfall was not having a lift.
Good location with easy access to underground.
Small bedroom and tiny bathroom and no lift.
The room IT is not a hotel it is a bed and breakfast the bathroom ,was to small, the hair dryer was broken.
Location, room size, helpful staff
Had to request remote for TV ? Drain smell and stench in bathroom, quickly fixed though Breakfast was pre cooked but not too bad Bottle of wine given to compensate for our troubles which was appreciated
