Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble
Still some parts of the Hotel which need updating ,we were told it is an ongoing project
I had a room facing the ocean. There were 2 chairs & table in a bay window where you could relax and watch the sea. Also you could hear the tide coming in while in bed. Lovely
We could take our dog
Not enough parking. We ordered breakfast but serving staff weren't told and head waiter made a bit of a fuss about making room for us
Friendly staff, good location, good breakfast (although it did take time to arrive)
Parking was a nightmare and the car had to be moved after 9am or risk a ticket which was fine for me but might cause issues for leisure travellers.
We liked everything about it. The staff were excellent even at 7.30am Nothing was two much trouble. Over all it was excellent.
Good location on seafront. Good night porter.
Musty smell in room. Not very clean in toilet area. Towels not changed and coffee sachets not replaced.
Nice location but view was ofa brick wall. Bed very uuncomfortable. Noisey every night. Staff emptying bottles from bar in the bin. only one mug in room. Bath slippery so had to buy bath mat. Staff not helpful. Drunks. Spoilt our weekend.
staff breakfast location dog friendly
bin full on arrival. tv broken sliding door off runner shower scalding or cold bed lamp switch difficult position and nearly burnt finger
The seafront position.
Room was in an annex, looking otherbuildings. It was small and uninviting. It was difficult to turn on taps on the sink, the bath was half size shower quite dangerous for our age group. Towels thin and small. Kettle could not fit under tap to fill. Had to askeach night for tea bags and milk. Staff not very friendly. Noise in room from bins filled up with bottles. We paid £100 plus breakfast per night, which is the most expensive we have paid in Worthing. We were paying for the seafront position. The worst hotel we have used while staying in Worthing for over nine years.
staff were very good
no air con
Amazing sea view good beds and lovely staff.
Hard to have a proper shower
Amazing view Comfy bed Friendly staff Didnt try the amenities but the bar was full when I got back after an eve out.
small niggles I would advise store label being removed from item. No safe or fridge.
Room in need of refurbishment very limited free parking 7 spaces to be exact. beds and pillows really uncomfortable, asked for extra pillow as it states in brochure to ask if required only tobe tols hotel was full so none spare. kettle in room full of chucks of limescale.
sea view, car parking, spacious bedroom, lift, public rooms, location, friendly helpful staff.
top floor room very warm, unable to open 2 out of 3 windows (room 34) shower dribbled, shower head not stable, no fruit/herbal tea's for breakfast, only grapefruit or prunes for breakfast.
They gave me an upgrade to a family suite since it was a last minute booking. Good location right on the beach and central.
No complaints here.
Staff were more than helpful friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend!
Stay wasn't long enough.
Standard of food was poor.
Location was great, on the seafront within walking distance from shops.
Water damage, toilet didn't flush properly
Excellent location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, I would stay again, good parking facilities good value for money.
Noisy sea gulls waking me up early in the morning
Good food, comfortable bed.
No air con and hot weather meant needed windows wide open: exterior noise kept us awake. Inadequate parking, especially for mobility impaired guests like me. Room décor in need of some TLC.
BREAKFAST BAR SERVICE VERY HOT ROOMS
On arrival the hotel had updated us to a room overlooking the esplanade and sea. Because the room was not ready for us, we were given complimentary tea and coffee. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Food was hot and average. The breakfast was also freshly cooked and tasty. We shall certainly recommend the hotel to friends and would visit again if we were in that area.
TV did not work when we arrived but this was put right overnight.
Hospitality tray consisted of One tea bag. Dirty tissues on the floor. Had to spend 40 minutes to get the TV to work. The cables had been unplugged. Parking half a mile away, and having to remove the car by 9am. 105 GB Pounds per night? For a single occupancy? I don't think so. No internet in the rooms?? It's 2014!
Service: The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. We were travelling with two large dogs; they were not just tolerated they were accommodated. As an example, when we came down for breakfast on the second morning a table had been laid for us in the lounge where the dogs were allowed to join us. That is thoughtful service - above and beyond, in my opinion. Accommodation: The rooms were comfortable, clean and equipped to the standard expected in the price range.
The only fault was the plumbing. The shower heads in both rooms were broken. The hot water pressure was a mere trickle. The usual hot/cold/hot cycle in the showers was annoying. The sink drain in one room was stopped up. In a hotel where the staff try so hard and do so well, it seems a shame for management to let the pleasant environment that they create be undone by terrible plumbing. This is the only reason I could not recommend the Kingsway. If they were to install commercial grade plumbing with thermostatic controls and an adequate hot water supply I would definitely recommend the Kingsway.
