English hospitality at its best! A helpful receptionist who actually cared that you had the best possible stay. I was given an upgraded room overlooking the seafront which truly enhanced my visit to Worthing.

Spacious and pleasant twin room, with table and chairs in the bay window; lovely view over the beach. Good beds. Good lighting. Quiet. Wifi in lounge area. Breakfast freshly cooked. Bathroom slightly tired. Dreadful coffee.

There were car parking facilities and the location was near to the Pavilion Theatre as we came to see a show there. The decor was very dated and the furniture was broken The curtains were off the track in some places and at night you could see lights shining through the holes in the curtains. For the size of the room, the T.V. was too small! The refreshment tray was poorly stocked with only two milks and broken biscuits! The waste bin in bathroom had not been emptied. For the price charged, the full English breakfast was not value for money! As we were a mature couple and our room was on the third floor, on our day of departure the lift was out of use being serviced, which meant we had to use the stairs. Could this work not have been done out of season.

We were on a one night stay for a family gathering. We had a room with a bay window at the front, with lots of room. Everything worked, the bed was warm and comfortable. The weather was dreadful, so we used the bar and lounge, and had dinner in the restaurant. All perfectly OK - and you don't get any of that with some of the competition. Never bothered with the car park - off peak you can leave your car over the road at no cost.

The faint odour of stale cooking oil in reception was unpleasant. The requirement to pay 20p per item for further tea and coffee room supplies was unreasonable - given that only 2 of each item were porvided. I have never found this in any other hotel.

It was a convenient location for the work I had to do there. Very friendly staff. Rather expensive for a 2-star hotel in Worthing out of season. Horrendous traffic queues getting in and out of the town. It is a resort that has seen better days. Needs a good make-over.

I liked meeting Ray, the owner of the hotel. She made us feel welcome and special. The venue was overlooking the sea and could not have been better. The hotel is in a developing stage of refurbrishment and when complete, will have tjhat "wow" factor that at the moment is sadly lacking. This is not a complaint, but ways the hotel where guestsl can be made even better. It would be nice to have some entertainment at the hotel. This could be musicians playing, themed weekends/weeks such as planned walks, link to shows in Worthing, murder/mystery weekends, changes in meals such as French week (where guests experience menus from other countries), dancers, bands, ect. The room we stayed needs quite a bit of work doing on it. The beds had springs coming out of it making it very uncomfortable, the boelin the bathroom and the bath had mottled cracks in them. There were only two pots of milk and one of these was cracked and the contents were sour. The decor had a few repairs that were crumbling and inadequate.

The Kingsway hotel has a great location and is quick to check out. The decor in the rooms is poor, the quality of the bathroom is bad and very old and looks awful. Windows don't shut and blinds that don't work.

The staff are very accommodating, although I didn't appreciate a knock on the door at checkout time at 11.00 A.M. The hotel is starting to look a bit tired, the bathroom and the carpets could do with updating. The extras in the room I.E. the shower gels etc., are a bit on the sparse side and so are the refreshment trays. I have been staying here for a number of years, and although the hotel is doing up the restaurant, I think other areas need attention to as well.

Your standard seaside hotel. In need of a bit of modernisation. Comfy bed. Terrible breakfast. Reasonable staff. Enough said.

We were involved in a road traffic accident. The staff was really friendly and offered us all the help we wished. The staff made the difference! The entire hotel is rather old so don't expect luxury bathrooms and rooms.
