Good accomodation, covered car park for vintage vehicles (Austin 7 rally), good food. Bossy breakfast room staff who didn't listen to customers and ignored requests. High bar prices.

I have stayed here before and enjoyed my stay yet again. Located on seafront, plenty of car parking some garaged and locked over night (small charge), Good breakfast ie fresh cooked plenty of choice good quality. Room very good, clean, comfortable, newly decorated ample drinks tea, coffee, hot chocolate, tv all freeview channels plus sky sports also free wifi. Staff friendly and helpfull I have been in hotels that cost much more but not half as good. Have stayed here 3 times in last 4 years and will stay again. Have had nothing to complain about If not busy barman would shut the bar and you had to find him or ask reception to open up. But always olbiged and only had to wait at most 5 minutes so no bother really.

Relaxing break in a hotel which had character and charm. The staff were polite and helpful which created a relaxed atmosphere, the food was top class. Our particular room had a view over the estuary which was a joy. Highly recommend to friends, family and business associates.

It was on the sea front and five minutes from the venue we were attending that night for a family event. The Standard room was very small, also the double bed was very small. The tea/coffee facility was great, as I love a cuppa.

I had a very nice room overlooking the seafront. Very helpful staff who were very attentive to all our requests . We were a large family party staying for a Family Reunion and all the staff were very patient with our different needs and requirements. A rather limited vegetarian menu in the dining room.

High quality comfortable fixtures and fittings. Very pleasant staff. Wonderful food. Excellent location. I particularly liked the roof garden, the real plants and flowers, the original paintings, the spacious lounge area, the availability of a bath and comfort of the room with view on to the roof garden.

So many things! It was like a old world hotel. The food was wonderful and the service by the stall was great. Its like going back 30 years so nice to see. Its still run by the family and they even talk to you. Our room was perfect and what a view over the beach and sea. Lots of places to park inside and out. Wine list prefect. Just a lovely place to stay wish we there a few days more.

It was a proper hotel with old fashioned hotel values. It was the chosen venue for a very important family meeting for us and for our requirements it couldn't have been better. The staff and service were excellent and I would happily stay again. My partner and I had one of the executive suites and it was very spacious and comfortable and, combined with the service received, I consider it was vlaue for money. It would have been nice if the hotel bar had been available before 18:00.

Room with a view excellent. Unlike many hotels the food was quality with quantity, highly recommend Staff very pleasant and helpful Due to the unusually hot weather we had to leave the windows open at night because of no air conditioning in room. Traffic and pedestrians leaving clubs very noisy. A fan was provided.

The staff were very helpful and friendly The decor in the communal areas needs updating. A lot of the carpets on the stairs were threadworn, which let the place down.

This was a our second stay at the Kingsway Hotel and we were in a large sea front room on the first floor. Location could not have been better, right on the sea front. Plenty of off-road parking available - an open car park for free, and a garage which is available for a small extra charge. An extensive table d'hote and a la carte menu available in the evenings. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

“What a Gem, We Can’t Wait to Return For More! What a lucky break we had when Rebekah and Tim had a last minute cancellation. The “open window” until the room was snapped up would probably have been about 2 minutes but we timed it to perfection. About 10 minutes after booking on-line we had a lovely email from Rebekah asking of there was anything else we needed and over the telephone she was so warm and welcoming as was Tim. On arrival we were shown to our immaculate room which smelled divine and furnished with home-made banana cake and chocolate cake, cups of tea and heaps more hospitality. The room was tastefully decorated with an antique brass double bed and a single, polished wooden floor and fresh flowers, lovely bath products and sparkling white, beautifully pressed Egyptian cotton bed-linen. Nothing was too much trouble so much so that when the headlights blew on our car meaning we couldn’t go where we wanted to on Saturday night, Tim drove us to the nearest supermarket for wine and Rebekah invited us to join them in a freshly cooked fish pie (luckily we had eaten because it was a very tempting offer!) Breakfast was excellent everything freshly made including the bread and Rebekah just kept coming with choice after choice of goodies. I haven’t seen such a great selection of breakfast choices in most 5* establishments. All in all we would like to say a HUGE thank-you to Rebekah, Tim and Felix for their fantastic hospitality and kindness, their attention to detail was second to none and we left them feeling we had gained some new friends. We will be back!” Kate, Ilkley |
