resturant good. Reception staff good.
terrible bed. rooms really need updating. Very very basic.
Plug sockets on my room were not working. Staff changed my room straight away no fuss. I orderd a curry from the restaraunt and the staff bought it to my room and it was very nice. What hotel lacks in presentation it makes up for in friendly staff
The fact that neither of the bedside plug sockets worked. Decor dated. Needs a serious refurb.
- Banging doors throughout the entire stay. - No breakfast available - Lights not working properly - Not enough towels or cups - Bathroom was hideous
Poor service during check in Small, uninspiring room In need of revamp
The single room they have me was shocking. If health and safty saw the room they put me in they would close the room down it was not fit for anyone to stay there. I plugged my phone charger in the wall and the hole socket went though the wall. There was mould around the skirting bored. The shower after 10 minuets got Luke warm and that was it the water would not run out the bottom and filled if quite fast. The metal towl rail in the bathroom was all rusty. The wardrobe had a door at the back of it with lost of routers and wires on show. The staff when I advised them of all this just shrugged it off did not offer to move rooms or anything. Very bad hotel and should not be ok booking.com. unsafe
The in house Indian restaurant is one of the best I've ever visited, so it was worth staying there just for that! The staff were very friendly when we saw them! The hotel is situated in a residential area, so it was quiet and felt safe. It was within easy reach of the town centre.
The room wasn't ready when we checked in. This wasn't a problem as we were able to dump our bags in the unmade room and go out to explore the area! No staff around during the day! TV in the room was very very small!
Cheapest digs I could find ! £50 a night is good for maidenhead
Rooms where dirty and smelt of stale curry from the Indian restaurant downstairs , noisy also
Reasonable price given my late booking. Good location esp if working in Maidenhead. Bathroom (WC, sink + shower) perfectly functional and clean, room was recently hoovered and tidied. TV worked well. If it matters my room was at the top of the building.
Badly cleaned duvet with a nasty crusty mark on it (I could have have tried to exchange it but didn't notice it until late in the night.). Laundry needs to be re-examined. No mattress protector, sheet only (bring your own, or at least bring another sheet to add another layer between you and the mattress). I felt a bit uneasy about what was separating me from the mattress since who knows when that was last cleaned.
Quiet in the mornings so could lie in undisturbed. Comfortable bed.
The manager's idea of a quiet room was not mine. ie Indian music from the restaurant below playing until about 11pm, phone ringing and door banging. No breakfast option. Concerned about safety as the towel rail in the bathroom had exposed and broken casing. Fire alarm (false apparently went off at 4 am one night). Maid did not take and replace clean cups.
Nice location, close to town and train. The man doing the hoovering was very friendly :) nice carpet in room
Old and dated, stain on duvet, broken bath panel, dust, needs to and had not hot or even warm water the day we left
The restaurant was lovely with good service the food was great!
great location to Heathrow
Staff were not friendly
The location is a key aspect as the hotel is close to the centre of Maidenhead (a 10 minute walk or few minutes by car). The room was quiet (No.9) and faced the front of the property. The linen was clean and the bed comfortable.
The decor was tired and the bathroom needed attention as the shower had mould around the base and showed signs of a long-term leak. I was concerned by the only available socket because it had been pushed into the wall and was very loose. In fact, it moved into the wall when I tried to plug in a phone charger.
Location and price were good
Wi-fi was not good. Decor a bit dated!! For family's it was quite noisy with restaurant below.
Just the Price
No Telephone in Room No Hot Water in the Morning Struggled to Find Staff No Bar Open Didn't seem to be open for Breakfast altough included within cost
It is in a very central location which makes it useful for business trips, other rooms might be worth trying.
Don't stay in room 11, this is a ground floor room right next to the double doors from the kitchen to the restaurant which means you are constantly bothered by the noise of the doors opening and closing, this went on to about midnight. Sadly the facilities in the room were lacking, half of the plug sockets didn't work, there was no light bulb in the bedside lamp and no offer of one. The room was not the cleanest. There were no hotel staff who were able to help either.
This is a handy hotel just up the hill from town. Doesn't currently do breakfasts, but you get tea/coffee making facilities. I had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant downstairs.
nice clean room comfortable bed
thought i ordered a twin room but can as a double no offer of breakfast
Very clean, good value, decent bathroom, compfortable bed.
Smells from adjoining Indian restaurant noticeable all round hotel. Service a bit abrupt, but perfectly helpful.
The down stairs was very nice and modern
The rooms in need of some attention on the up keep .
Staff was realy bed, scaring surauding place...
Very convenient for my one night's stay.
Quite noisy as there is a restaurant on the ground floor.
Close to shops comfortable bed and size room room itself clean and warm friendly staff offering places to eat out and informed me of local supermarket
shower in need of refurbishing there were decoration materials left in closet!
The price, but I will never book a cheap hotel again, using the word Hotel very loosely...
A very memorable experience started with my arrival when I was politely asked to re park my car within the car park, no problem there. I collected my bags and went to reception where the same young waiter carried on working for 5 minutes in the restaurant whilst I waited at reception. I then went to him and asked if I need to check myself in and the realisation hit him that he would need to do this. The first thing he did was ask foe the money, I asked to see the room, He said there was no point because I had booked. I saw the room and I stupidly took it. It was a reasonable size for a single room and there was a decent towel, a powerful broken shower and Tea/coffee and posh biscuits. This was a busted room with doors and drawers hanging off and dented walls, There was a shavers light in the bathroom but it didn't work, along with the flat screen TV with no remote control. I borrowed the remote from another room but the batteries were dead. The internet promised a hairdryer but the young waiter said that my problem was that I had not booked a double room because there were no hairdryers in the single rooms. I said that they shouldn't advertise on the internet that all rooms had hairdryers and that made it his problem not mine. To be fair he spent 30 minutes looking for a hairdryer and could not find one. I was allowed the key to a double room and so dried my hair in there in the morning. I thought there was no hot water in the bathroom sink, but as I washed my hands ready to escape in the morning I turned the cold tap on and out came hot water. So there was hot water it was just hiding. As I said a memorable stay... thankfully there was no breakfast.
