Helpful staff, room immaculately clean, troth brush, toothpaste, hair dryer, booklets about Brighton , lots of little touches, continental breakfast easy. Highly recommend as high quality hostel
Proximity to the city sites and the friendly atmosphere
Seagulls, but this is not your fault.
Everything was very good. I,m very happy. Thanks and see you again.
Time passes too quickly in this hostel.
Location, themed evenings, friendly and helpful staff
It was a little noisy on a night mainly after the reception closed 1am people would congregate in the corridors and chat generally between 3-5am which was quite annoying!
Gentlemen offered to help With luggage , took us on a tour of the place . Offered to store our luggage
Need to provide schedules and timing in a peace of paper
Virtually everything was brand new. The bed linens, pillows, duvets, matresses were spotless and quality. y The staff were extremely helpful, the travellers multi national and a great young crowd.
A slight shortage of bathrooms, particularly when they get occupied by someone for 45mins at a time.
Friendly, warm and professional staff who made us feel very welcome and showed us to our room. Lovely atmosphere throughout the communal areas, all clean and well kept, and the room itself was very clean, tidy, well kept and had a sink in the room with toiletries provided, and access to a shared shower room just opposite which was compact but clean, tidy and fit for purpose. For the money I paid I was very happy with with the experience, and will definitely be staying there again. I have not found better value anywhere else in all my visits to Brighton. I could've paid £100-200 more per night elsewhere for some extra luxuries but I feel this is now unnecessary after having such a comfortable stay at Kipps for a very reasonably rate (£40 in our case) for 2 people per night, including breakfast, good wifi even at the top of the building, 24hr access, very comfortable room and welcoming feel. It was lovely to stay in a hostel where the beds were genuinely comfortable! I don't know what the beds in the dorms are like but the ones in the twin room we stayed in were nice comfy mattresses as you'd expect in a hotel/B&B. Those who have frequented hostels will know what I mean when I say most hostels (including the big chains!) often have slim hard mattresses even in private rooms, and often bunk beds instead of separate twins as we got in our room at Kipps. I hope that any of you who stay there enjoy your time as much as we did :)
Just a warning that there are a lot of stairs and no lift, so if you physically struggle with stairs this particular place may not be suitable.
location, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, towels provided
bunk bed was shaky and noisy, needs replacing or tightening
Amazing value very warm and welcoming staff amazed by the little extras provided eg evrning activities free drinks in ya room . highly recommend 5 min from shops and beach .we stayed at a b&b previously after being at kipps we wont stay any whre else again looking forward to our next trip. X
They are in a perfect location, the staff is helpful and attentive, the living room and games room are comfy and really good (lots of thin gs to do in a rainy day if you get stuck there), wifi works perfectly. Breakfast has everything you need (and it's really cheap). Beds are good, bathrooms and toilets are perfectly cleaned every day.
Absolutely nothing to complain
The hostel was great, at first i needed a adapter to charge our phone, no big deal, the reseptionist gived me one right away, in the morning i had a insane pain on my tooth i told it to the reseptionist and she booked me a time to dentist! the service was epic!
What did i like about Kipps Backpackers Brighton? Pretty much everything. It's a good start when you check in and get offered homemade brownies. Great location. It's easy to get to the beach, the Lanes, the bars and the station. I loved that there are 2 communal areas - the lounge with TV, computer games and sofas and an outside area. We didn't use it but the communal kitchen looked really good and clean. The continental breakfast had all we needed, even crumpets! The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. Our room was a perfect size for 2 people. The bed was more comfortable than my own bed! With plenty of pillows and covers. We had a small basin & shower in our room which was useful and very clean. On our floor there was 2 communal bathrooms, one of which had a shower. They were always clean and well stocked with loo roll and even communal shower gel. I've already recomended the Hostel to others and will stay here again next time i'm in Brighton.
The only little thing i want to mention and it is a very little thing is that when i was sent the confirmation email it didn't mention i'd need to bring ID with me. This is probably something all Hostels do, unfortunetly this was our first time staying in one and i didn't bring any. The female member of staff who was checking us in was very polite about this and had to take my debit card details as insurance incase we'd trashed the room. I only mention this in case other people didn't realise them need ID. But the rest of our stay at Kipps Backpackers Brighton was GREAT!
i loved the accomodation. The rooms were warm and cozy, the staff friendly and the facilities quite nice. All for a very low price.
We were ten together In a room which of course isn't for everyone. Now there were a quite few snorers but that of course isn't the hostels fault. I didn't think the beds were the most comfortable ones but they did have a bunch of pillows, a duvet and smelled crispy clean! I also didn't like that we weren't allowed inside the rooms between 11am-2pm under any circumstances because of cleaning. We were also not allowed in the kitchen during lunchtime which was one of the main reasons you would use a kitchen is, during lunchtime.
The location is great, the staff is very helpful, hotel is clean, comfortable and very cozy!
Everything, a great place.
The stairs, but if you're fit, unlike me, you'll be fine!
I booked into Kipps Brighton the day before a life-changing operation. I was nervous and lonely. Right away I was put at ease - the staff were absolutely lovely, the communal areas and the room were just great. Free facilities were amazing - free pancake night? Wow! I can see why other residents were longer term. The price for the location is a real high point too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
It was clean. There were cupboards in the dorm room so your stuff could be safe and you could leave your luggage free of charge all day. There were 3 bathrooms we could use which were beautifully clean and big. You get a towel to use which is free. There is a lovely little veranda. Nice to sit and have a cup of tea. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone because it is clean, quiet, comfortable, central location, and very affordable.
In the dorm there was not much space to put a large bag near the bed. I was in the small.
The bed is noisy, even with only a slight body moving.
Only One bathroom for 10 people and further more without windows inside of The room
Friendly Use of kitchen, possibility to wash clothes, wifi throughout worked well

This was our best stay in the UK. We have never stayed in a backpackers before but wouldn't hesitate to again if they are like this. The staff were all very lovely and welcoming and the room and bed was the best in our time in the UK. Would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to book with them or their sister company. +++++++++
Beautiful decor, clean well-made and comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast, including several juices, cereals, toast and jam/honey/nutella. Wifi and extra desktop for browsing Internet. Fantastic location, just 10min walk from beach, and right across from Pavilion. Extra touches such as large toffee container by reception, toothbrushes and shampoo. Nice kitchen facilities and even some outdoor seating. Nintendo Wii!
The double bed private ensuite is one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in
