We use the Kirkhouse as it is near the nursing home where my mum is resident our room was adequate but we had to plug the hole in the window frame !!!!! the bathroom also could have done with a re-grouting of the tiles. |

the food was lovely, i recommend the venison, my girlfriend said the sirloin steak was lovely the bathroom was frozen, the bath was all marked, the window in the bedroom had a big bit of the frame rotten away, the mattress was solid and we both woke with a sore back |

Comfortable room, good size twin. View of the Campsie Fells (over the top of the bins)! The staff were a bit sparse - hard to find anyone when checking in or out, dropping off and picking up keys etc. They were always helpful once you did find them. |

Hotel was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. The food was quite expensive for what it was but it was of a good quality and tasrefully presented. The hotel accepted our dog which was a bonus for us. Breakfast was good but I really would have appreciated a fresh cup of tea/coffee since the liquid in thermos jugs tends to cool and go strong after a while. |

Size and comfort of bedroom. Food was excellent. Proximity to Glasgow (we were visiting grandson in Yorkhill Hospital, and also Nick Nairn Cook School at Port of Menteith) and Port of Menteith. Tiles and windows in bathroom badly in need of some T L C! |

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Very relaxing atmosphere. Food was very good and great value for money. With car, good location, not too far from Glasgow, and within handy driving distance of Loch Lomand. Will stay in this hotel on my next visit to Scotland. Rooms need a bit of sound-proofing. |

Nice cosy bedroom, extremely large nice restaurant/ dining room full of character - we enjoyed a waiter-service breakfast, all hot food was prepared freshly to order. We wished that we had arrived earlier the evening before so that we could have enjoyed dinner here. The price for a double room was £45 by pre-booking, excellent value - at the reception the list price was £75 - £100. Massive car park. Excellent location for both Glasgow and Loch Lomond. The paintwork was a little tired in our room. |

Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the evening meal was lovely, as well as being very good value. The hotel was in a good location for breaking our journey to John O'Groats, but we hope to stay here again for longer, which is the best recommendation we can make. |

Rooms were pleasant if a little old fashioned. Rooms to the front were very noisy. In recent hot weather it would have been sensible to draw the blinds or curtains during the day. Good food and pleasant staff Lengthy queues in the evening to be rerved in the bar and to order food. Staff themseves said there were not enough people on duty |
