Quiet, friendly atmosphere. Lovely scenery. Unfortunately the food was below average personally, too greasy.

The location was very good as very near our daughter who lives in Strathblane The shower was almost non existent. The quality of the food was poor. No understanding of some of the dishes asked for - asked for egg Benedict and received an egg and bacon muffin. The same staff member who served us saw us 20 minutes later and asked if we wanted breakfast. We were looked out one evening and had to bang on the door to get in.

My husband and I booked a double room at the Kirkhouse Inn and we were very happy with the standard of accommodation. Our room was very clean and although the decore was a bit dated it seemed to be a well cared for hotel, The room was spacious and everything worked fine. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. The staff were all helpful and friendly and we would certainly return again in the future if we are ever in the area.

Staff, clean room, location and locality. Limited evening bar menu, lack of variety of local beers (not American pop, Budweiser etc.) or Tennants lager, Peroni and the like. Genuine hand pulled beer is needed.

The location was ideal for us being close to Glasgow and Loch Lomond. The room (15) was extremely comfortable and immaculately prepared evey day. The staff were very polite and helpful. The restaurant and food were excellent. All in all a most enjoyable stay and we would certainly reccomend this hotel.

My car was badly damaged in the car park... When I spoke to manager about this all she pointed out was cars left at own risk... Supplements to alternate meals not marked clearly enough... Hotel very quiet although busy enough no background music would be best suited for coach trip travellers on an overnight passing stay...

The staff were friendly and rooms clean. Rooms were very hot and our bathroom quite basic, shower didn't work. The choice of food for gluten free was limited however the chef did his best to accommodate me.

The staff were really friendly, the food was excellent, the room also was xl, however, we were at the back of the hotel with no view out of the window. The lack of a view and the room was very hot at night, no a/c or maybe a standing fan.

Not pretentious but very professional. Out in the countryside but close enough to work in Glasgow and Grangemouth. A nice balance in every respect.

We stayed only one night for a meeting locally so cannot comment too much. I liked the space to sit out of our room without feeling pressure to buy drink. The room was clean and comfortable although old fashioned, which I actually like. Breakfast was good and locally sourced supplies were used. Although I didn't stay long, Kirkhouse would be an excellent centre for the central belt, being handy for Glasgow, Edinburgh, The Trossachs and the borders and I am told there is very good rock climbing in the area.

Hadn't stayed at the Kirkhouse for a number of years because it had changed in its character and staff, but am delighted to say under the present ownership the hotel has improved no end.The staff were helpful, pleasant and we felt that they all wanted our stay to be a good experience. They made our pet dog welcome as well as us. The food was good and the menu was varied and fresh produce was used.It is good to see the hotel coming back to its role in the community, which it had lost . All in all a very pleasant experience and one we will repeat.

I would not stay at this hotel again for the following reasons; poor customer service, poor quality of food, unacceptable waiting time to be served food, unacceptable noise levels coming from the bar below my room from the evening entertainment which went on until midnight which we were not told about. This stay was for a special occasion for some relaxing time in a country setting, however the whole experience was completely the opposite and ruined our stay

We've booked Kirkhouse Inn because it was so close to Glengoyne Distillery. We've had good rooms, and a very good meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The area were beautiful, and the visit at Glengoyne were great!
